Nrthwnd Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Post #700! My very first roller coaster with inversions was the original Corkscrew, in Knott's Berry Farm, September 1975. The first of it's kind, anywhere... then.
TheStig Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Scorpion at BGT. How common I know... Colin C
CoasterFanatic Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Corkscrew @ Myrtle Beach Pavillion Replaced by the craptacular Hurricane.
Kroger8 Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 YAY^^ Corkscrew!! I liked how one of the corkscrews came very close to the building that housed the scrambler, I miss it!!
lagg Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Nemesis at Alton Towers, I was 9 and crapping myself. Only if I could find the ORP !
AznShortBoi8021 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Viper at SFDL. I rode it in 1989. It was pretty good actually. I last rode it in 2003. Still good. The headbanging as kept to a minimal.

OUCH, it a wonder I wasn't traumatized of looping coasters and scarred for life! Also my first-when it was at Expo '86 and called The Scream Machine Here it is in the original red and white. Immel Man Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I may have said Batman: The Ride in another thread, but now that I think about it, my first inverting coaster was Canyon Blaster at Circus Circus Adventuredome. I believe I also rode Manhattan Express before B:TR.
USRoadTripper Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Mine was Wabash Cannoball at Opryland. -Julie *sniff* I miss you, baby...

wallaaa -be Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 It was the Tornado at walibi belgium (the first coaster made by vekoma):
Canobie Fan Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 My first looping coaster was the Canobie Corkscrew in 1990-1991 just because of lack of other looping coasters in the area.
viking86 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 My first looping coaster was Speed Loop, a Pinfari looping coaster that came with a fair in Bergen, Norway. It was also my first non-kiddie coaster. Horrible rough ride that hurt my ears. Heres some pics of the ride at a fair in Dublin: http://www.themeparks.ie/fairs/2004fund/speed1.htm http://www.themeparks.ie/fairs/2004fund/speed2.htm
RctInfinity Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Rock 'n' RollerCoaster is a great start for getting used to inversions! (Although I love inversions) I have to say that my first inverting coaster is, in fact, Rock 'n' RollerCoaster! Real RnR! (I took this myself when I was just getting used to my digital camera) Fake RnR..
socalMAN123 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Montezuma's Revenge @ KBF. Great looper, still is. ---Brent 8)
Superdasher Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Incredible Hulk @ Islands of Adventure. Instantly became my favorite coaster the day I rode it...still is in my Top 10 today...
