themeparkman25 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 ^^I think we are all just used to seeing TTD and Ka, so anything short of 400+ looks short. Is there going to be any themeing in the turns following the last MCBR? The track directly after the finally MCBR with the quick switches of track heading to citywalk is just in a dirt pit, can we expect to see themeing or grass? Or Furius Baco style where they just dig a hole and put the track in it?
Speeddeamon128 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 This ride seems to be coming along great. I can't wait to ride this in June.
HatetoFLY Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 ^^^The pictures don't do the lift justice, if you look through some previous pages you can see one where there are guys working on the lift and those pics will give you the proper perspective. As far as any theming, it wont be six flags parking lot style or even mounds of dirt. It will be landscaped to fit into the beautiful blue man group area. Just today their were guys working on some drainage and what looked like irrigation pipes on the very eastern side of the project.
gotdane Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 ^If you did actually mean to reply to my post about the lift looking like a high dive, I still think it looks tall! Don't get me wrong. It's just the way the structure looks.
SharkTums Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 ^I was thinking it looked like a Bungee Tower!
King_K. Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 There is a new poll on the Harry Potter site regarding which type of Dragons you would ride. Either a Chinese Fireball or a Hungarian Horntail. New concept art too: http://www.universalorlando.com/harrypotter/
matteocrepaldi Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Hopefully this will help others too. I made a quick search on google to see what those dragons look like. CHINEESE FIREBALL HUNGARIAN HORNTAIL
Shellemonster Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I love seeing these new images! This is definitely my most anticipated attraction that's been annouced right now. This place looks like it will sell some cool stuff (like broomsticks), but I was hoping the shops would have a more unique look. That "chandelier" is awesome though. Also, it looks like the shops will be interconnected which I don't think was mentioned before. The post office is to the left as evidenced by that writing on the wall. So if the post office is accessible, that means that there will be some interactive or animatronic things going on with all the owls in there. I have faith they will show us some very cool things later.
jkwan Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Even though I'm Chinese, I also choose Horntail.
King_K. Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Yup, I chose the Horntail also. I do like the look of the Fireball though. I'm guessing that they're asking this one for the Dueling Dragons re-theme.
themeparkman25 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I think its amazing how Universal has kept the ride inside the castle completely behind doors. Would they change into the Horntail or Fireball require a painting of the coasters into their designated dragon? But then, what is the point of the poll if their is two coasters?
triggernel Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I haven't looked back through this topic, but is the onride music going to be the same as the music on the website, just really generic?
CoasterEricHP Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 There were four dragons in the Triwizard tournament so maybe the next poll will be for the other two and those would end up as the new theme for dragons. You would think that because the whole area is going to be brand new they would paint Dragons accordingly instead of having a faded coaster in the middle of brand new everything!

Interesting on the idea of the dragons. Fans will pick out the two most popular. Your right about the painting. Those coasters will look so out of place if they are not painted.
themeparkman25 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 But before this poll surfaced, was there even any talk about painting them? All I had heard about the future of the Dragons was that the knight stuff was to be removed from the q, but left pretty much unchanged besides that. I hope they don't take the dragons colors from the pictures, they are pretty bland and flavorless.
jarmor Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 you pick your own song...like on hollywood dream.
King_K. Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 No it won't be generic music. You'll be able to pick from a list of 25 Artist Tracks which haven't been released yet.
Jds03 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I wonder if you can pick to hear Blue Man Group.
jedimaster1227 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 ^Needless to say, I'd be riding Rip, Ride, Rockit daily if that were the case!
