Six Flags Food

Recommended Posts

^ I found it in the internet images. I tried to find something

from Six Flags, but it didn't seem to take me to any such photos.

And I'm still curious wtf actual "Gatorbread" is?

since it's sold at "Gator McGee's" (per my Google-Fu), and that is a cajun Pizza and PoBoy place..

I'd bet that "Gatorbread" is basically cheezy-sticks.

I say this reticently, after the vegan comments, but I am vegetarian (pescatarian, to be exact, but Six Flags doesn't typically have good seafood except maybe the occasional shrimp wonton or something). There really isn't a lot at Six Flags for me to eat, especially SFDK which was my homepark. Greasy cardboard cheese pizza. Really makes me want to pay $80 some odd for a dining pass so that I can eat unlimited cheese pizza. The cheese bread with marinara is good, though.

This year, they added a new sandwich place (can't remember the name) that oddly did not have a vegetarian sandwich on the menu! C'mon Six Flags, this is the San Francisco Bay Area, what are you thinking? However, the employees let me concoct my own sandwich and it was very good!

The best thing I've ever had at a Six Flags is definitely the Greek pita/gyro/whatever I had at the place at Great Adventure! Also can't remember the name, but I've not seen that at other Six Flags, so I assumed it was unique to great adventure.

I also approved of the margaritas sold at the cantina place shared a few pages back. Love me a margarita on a hot day!

^ I would vote for the season beer pass without the food, but that's just me.

Can we have an all season meat-and-beer pass?

I believe a waffle with ice cream, nuts chocolate syrup and whipped cream would technically be considered pescatarian and vegetarian so Great Adventure is probably one of the only parks where I could eat a strict pescatarian diet and be perfectly happy with life.

Correct me if I'm wrong by the way. I know it's not vegan because they get all pissy about dairy products.

Do the other Six Flags parks not have the Go Fresh Cafe's like we do? It's all like health conscious sh*t and plants to eat there right? I honestly don't know because #TeamMachoNacho.

Also apparently we have a sushi place, right? You couldn't pay me enough to eat sushi from SF tho.

I'm pretty sure their salads are just weeds they pulled out of the rocks in the Nitro queue behind the building.

Great America has a GO FRESH with the alternative food options... Surprisingly it's also the place to go if you don't want to wait 45+ minutes for food...

You're right, and I commend your efforts to support the pescatarian movement.

Yes! I ate at Go Fresh at SFNE and I thought it was very good. SFDK needs one of those. I'm not sure if SFMM has one but they should.

What SFMM does have is that awful Six Flags sushi. I tried it once, definitely not the best.

I'll admit that Macho Nacho isn't too bad, however, the lines for it are always ridiculously long!

That would be awesome . . . . going on El Toro or Nitro after guzzling a few cold ones

And have you ever actually seen someone CUI or CWI (Coastering under or While Intoxicated)?

Only when I look back at my pictures.

And no... I have actually have no idea who those people are within an uncomfortable arm's reach.

Who's next?

Well . . . I'm inspired to crack a cold one (I haven't been drinking for over a year now, I'm currently in a weight loss program that will NOT let me drink alcohol. I don't mind though) next season at SFA

But anyhow, what's your favorite place to chow down at your home SF park? For me (at SFA), I like getting the Chicken Strips basket at the Crazy Horse Saloon or something from Chop Six.

And yes, count me in as one that likes a friendly buzz while at a theme park. And no, I can't say that I have ever had (or would have) a chicken strip basket at a theme park (ewwww).

I dunno. I feel like if Six Flags has one food item that they usually excel at (lol), its chicken tenders. I always joke that they are SF culinary "specialty". They are not something they can really muck up - throw them in the fryer for a predetermined amount of time, throw em in a basket and serve.

I've had them at Great Adv a bunch and have never been skeeved out or felt sick after eating them. I say this as someone sometimes leary of chicken I haven't cooked myself, and as someone who doesn't really like chicken wings/on the bone.

SF fries are usually pretty good too. We had chicken tenders & fries @ SFA this year and they were some of the best chicken tenders I've ever had, no joke. Maybe it was all the beer lol.

Your weight loss program allows fried chicken strips and fries but not alcohol?

As an overweight teetotaler, I need to know the name of the diet.

Well . . . the program I'm on is actually a place I go to where I live called Physician's Weight Loss . . .

I'm on a calorie restricted diet, and it's done VERY well for me (a year ago, I was 293 . . . now I'm 193.5). I eat more veggies, drink a LOT more water so on and so forth. And I allow myself ONE free meal during the week.

But I don't really miss alcohol . . . . in fact if I never drink again, I'd be happy an content.

^^ I'm just leery of anything that can sit under a heat lamp for extended periods of time before serving.

Somewhat unrelated rant - that's one of the reasons why I kind of lost faith in BDubs. Being from Western NY, I'm somewhat of a chicken wing "snob" so when I order wings at BDubs and they come to the table in like five minutes, I know that they are coming from straight under the heat lamp...and they usually taste like sh%t. Good wings need to be deep fried for a minimum of 14 minutes....if you get them any sooner than that, you know that they were pre-cooked and they are likely going to suck.

Back on topic...I can't even remember what we had to eat the last time that we were at SFGAdv to be honest. Although I do remember paying $11 for a 20 oz draft Heineken at the restaurant near the ferris wheel (Grannies, maybe?)...so it's possible that that could have been my dinner!

^ That's quite a feat for you losing so much weight...glad to hear that your program works for you. Congrats!
