ParkTrips Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I headed out to the park tonight (and updated my site here) Anyways, I couldn't help but get a kick out of the multitude of logos the park has used for Goliath. So, pick which one YOU like the best. Choice #1 - Logo from the latest renderings and sixflags.com photos Choice #2 - The one on the station in the latest renderings Choice #3 - The logo on the banners in the park Choice #4 - The logo from display set up in the park So, besides the premise that the park can't seem to make up its mind, which logo do you like the best?
zburns999 Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Number one is really cool. It's different and I think it suits the coaster well.
DonkeyBreath Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I like number 4, I like how it blends all the colors of the ride into one and how the bottom looks like it's all lit up.
Homer Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I have an opinion on each one of those logos. 1. This logo is to attract people from the ghetto that surrounds the park with some "bling" effects. 2. Universal and Sony has a pending lawsuit with Six Flags over the use of the Spiderman/PS3 font. 3. Too cartoonish... 4. Oddly reminds me of Iron Wolf's logo (the old B&M Stand-up at SFGAm). If I had to go with a logo, I would say number 4, it looks the most badass.
Kroger8 Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I like number 4, but number 2 got my vote as well...
Blazen_AZN Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 is it just me or are logo's number 1 and 4 the same? number 4 is just shinier. well, they get my vote, as a redering of the coaster would not be that great a indication, as they arn't always accurate. and number 3 looks like simple word art.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I don't like any of them, but I would say #2 is the best of those choices.
robbalvey Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I don't like any of them, but I would say #2 is the best of those choices. Ditto.
mark.w Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 The first one. It looks more modern. The second one would be my second choice.
coasterguy618 Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 The second one is the best in my opinion. I think number 2 and 4 look the same and that number 4 looks like Magnum XL 200's logo.
ParkTrips Posted October 8, 2005 Author Posted October 8, 2005 Does it really matter? Not really but I found it interesting that the park is using so many different logos for the ride, but in the end its the ride that matters
socalMAN123 Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 Number 2 got my vote. It just looks really cool and retro! ---Brent 8)
coasterfreak101 Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I vote for #4! I liked that one the best, but #1 would be my next!
woah_killa Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 #2, i think it's really neat lookin and...um...i guess not so generic...or sorta bubble lettered.
suave1226 Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 I personally like choice 4 because of the blending of the colors. As for Homer's quote, "1. This logo is to attract people from the ghetto that surrounds the park with some "bling" effects." define ghetto for me and what bling has to do with anything concerning the ride.
phazan Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 ^he was just joking around. gangstas natural habitat is in the ghetto. anyway, they all look futuristic and the theme of goliath isnt supposed to be futuristic. its supposed to be kind of like jungle theme.
Jeezus Juice Posted October 8, 2005 Posted October 8, 2005 ^ Nah, ah...some of tha dopest-est ganstas come from the suburbs...represent! I for one like the hybrid Jungle/Urban-Bling combo, plus you won't be able to compare it with the other two Goliath-esths. Yay for each Goliath being different! No matter how absurd. -Don
willski Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 Number two definately looks the best. One and four are the same thing, except #4 is probably the finalized version of #1 (better coloring-can anybody say Magnum and Iron Wolf?Yeah, they already have, but.....). 2 gives it the modern look that it needs.
Teddymonster Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Yeah, I am going to be a jackass and say I choose none of them. Sorry
