Gutterflower Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) We have seen some concept art of the layout before and the track was spotted at the B&M plant months ago but now I’ve finally found some shots of the Xishuangbanna B&M Flyer under construction. I must admit I like the off green supports with the bright yellow track and it will work well with the expected butterfly theme. Source: VHCoasters Edited November 9, 2015 by Gutterflower
rcjp Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Oh finally. Wasn't this ride originally planned for this year? At least that's what RCDB says.
gerstlaueringvar Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Strangely this place looks like Parrot Coaster's site a lot
Gutterflower Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 The train for Xishuangbanna Theme Park's version of Zampearla's Pony Express is looking really quite excellent.
Nrthwnd Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Ha! I love the fake legs, on this pony express, LOL! Is this the same design as the train in Knott's?
_koppen Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 That train looks awesome! To bad it will ride like absolute crap..
Gutterflower Posted November 5, 2014 Author Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) That's the B&M flyer complete. The construction pictures below show the completion of the ride but unfortunately don’t show off the ride layout too well. The water splash down element (Manta style) is behind the Pretzel just before the turn being completed here. Source: VHCoasters Edited November 9, 2015 by Gutterflower
markysharky17 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 This looks amazing. I hope they build another B&M flyer in America soon! Can anyone find a photo of how the layout will look when done?
rcjp Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Yeah it doesn't really show much of the layout but thanks for posting. It's always great to see one of these getting built. Wasn't it supposed to open this year? I guess that's not happening.
KingRCT3 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 The concept-art in page 1 seems to be close to reality. However, in real life the track doesn't look like going throught the pretzel loop. (From the first page)
BDG Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 However, in real life the track doesn't look like going throught the pretzel loop. It does. See bottom left of this photo:
jedimaster1227 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 (edited) The track definitely does cut through the pretzel loop. Edited November 6, 2014 by jedimaster1227
Gutterflower Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 Wanda's relentless march shows know sign of stopping as they have also announced another theme park in Guangzhou. Including an indoor ski center, water park, hotel and theme park. The whole complex is due to open in 2018. This is the groundbreaking ceremony. Outdoor theme park covers an area of 60 hectares, highlight local culture, visitors can ride the world's first multi-media roller coaster track off the shuttle in Wuyang mountains, but also to experience the world's first combination of Ssangyong sit-hanging roller coaster, as well as the world's only interactive sea warships , is the world-class theme amusement park. Building in Guangzhou puts it in direct competition with Chimelong and within easy distance of Hong Kong so it will be interesting to see how they fare. All their other parks seem to be in cities without major parks. Sources: Baidu -------------------------------------- And for those following things. Wanda Nanchang is coming along nicely. They seem to have kept the ferris wheel from the old park that was on the site. But no sign of the GCI or Intamin's yet.
gerstlaueringvar Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 I've been on that Ferris wheel, it's from Meisho if I remember correctly. That's an independent attraction.
KingRCT3 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 However, in real life the track doesn't look like going throught the pretzel loop. It does. See bottom left of this photo: Ha thanks, silly me.
Gutterflower Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Wanda have released this image for the new trains on that monster GCI called Viper going to Nanchang Source Got to admit it looks pretty good and surprisingly like the source image.
GwaziBSRider1 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 That's an absolutely gorgeous train! Definitely one of the best themed trains I've ever seen.
rcjp Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Looks great! I think the snake theming will go pretty well with those long articulated GCI trains.
Geauga Dog Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Wow, that Viper car looks awesome. Now Iron Rattler has an Asian cousin.
gerstlaueringvar Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I think Iron Rattler train is all cool and awesome but this one is just creepy...
