booink Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 That ride was rougher than the whore I hired in Vegas last time I went there…and the whores in Vegas are ROUGH!!! Wow, seriously Manhattan Express looks absolutely terrible ! This is probably Goudurix's brother or cousin, who knows !
pdcon Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Am I the only person on here who enjoyed this ride. It was rough but not as bad as everybody makes in out to be, Just my opinion.
cfc Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Am I the only person on here who enjoyed this ride. Possibly.
robbalvey Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) Let's give a TPR Bag-O-Crap to Blue Turbo! Congrats! Send an email to robbalvey@themeparkreview.com with your contact info! Here's another TPR Video! The "Bobkart" is basically a powered alpine slide and they are a LOT of fun! I really wish we would see one of these make it to the USA! If we get 25 comments before we post the next one we'll give away a Bag-O-Crap! So... POST YOUR COMMENTS!!! Edited November 7, 2013 by robbalvey
Nrthwnd Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) I agree, that was definitely one of the better Bobkarts I had been on, in past tours. I especially enjoyed NOT being able to see that far ahead, of how the layout went. (This was the TPR China Tour, Sept.2012) Edited November 8, 2013 by Nrthwnd
markysharky17 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Looks like a fun ride. I would love to try this while riding a food tray. For example when you ride a tray down the slide at McDonalds. It's an intense ride!
gerstlaueringvar Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Fun ride! I rode the one in Shenzhen, China when I was 10. It could go faster though.
coreysaysyo Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Dude that looks like some serious fun dude ") I would love to ride something like that
pdcon Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 This ride looks really fun. As close as your going to get to bob sleding, without actually bob sledding.
bbomser Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Does anyone else besides me want to get a group and all wear these while riding: http://mypartyshirt.com/jamaican-bobsled-team-costume Love this movie!
Moose Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 ^ um no. That outfit is one that most people that like coasters should not wear.
cfc Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 ^Agreed--most coaster enthusiasts should not wear body suits (particularly not me). I loved how those Bobkarts tore through the woods--perfect setting for them.
ajfelice Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 ^^^Those suits are a better style than most enthusiasts going the Alton Towers way of rider attire, or should I say lack thereof.
Moose Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 ^Really? I don't remember seeing anything too bad wen I was there.
Nrthwnd Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) ^ We were lucky. Edited November 11, 2013 by Nrthwnd
jokey Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I wish there was a ride similar to that here in Canada, it looks like it is really fun but not too intense.
2012jarrett Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Never seen one if those before and they look fun! Now make the channel wider and send six down at once and race them! Call it "Go-Bobkart!" I don't care how unsafe that would be, I want to try it!
gerstlaueringvar Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 This one is definitely better than the one at Windows of the World in OCT Eastern Shenzhen.
805Andrew Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 This BobCart looks like a lot of fun and has really nice scenery. Lots of helixes and that final helix around that building looked really cool.
eddie200330 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 It's like an Alpine Slide without the need for a ski resort!!! Looks totally awesome and better than some actual coasters!!
robbalvey Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Here's another TPR Video! Some "Retro" footage from 1996 of Cedar Point's Wildcat! Who here got a chance to ride this? If we get 25 comments before we post the next one we'll give away a Bag-O-Crap! So... POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!
eddie200330 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Many times.....It was my alarm clock the summer I worked at CP....right outside the damn window!!!
PVA62 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I loved that ride when I was little. Brings back good memories of my first trip to Cedar Point!
amyzoo Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Yeah I've ridden that, I didn't know it was gone.
coreysaysyo Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Man I loved that ride, I kind of wish that they still had it, but I do understand why they took it out. Plus thing like that are not going to last forever. I remember the lift chain, looked like a bike chain xD
