KingRCT3 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I am as surprised as you (that would indeed be the first familly B&M), but HZ is usually a reliable source, and he said that was confirmed:
rcjp Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 If this confirms and they do use the vest-style restraints without the vest that's pretty much all they have to do to be able to feature lap bars on their rides without floors, which means they could start applying it to their future looping rides. I do hope so.
_koppen Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 The Romon World park, with the Maurer and Intamin coaster posted previously in the thread will also be getting a HUSS Giant Frisbee. You can see the legs and beam for the pendulum in this photo, it's getting a light blue color scheme. Source
YoshiFan Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 A B&M family inverted coaster sounds interesting. Hopefully if it ends up turning out to be a good coaster, more of them show up especially at family parks that want something not to thrilling.
Double0Kevin Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Well, El Loco at Adventuredome can now join that list since it's not opening until Late January. Does that make it the first new ride of 2014?
GwaziBSRider1 Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 ^ According to RCDB, there's an "unknown" supposed to open on New Year's Day. Source
larrygator Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 I think I have all the announcements from major parks, let me know if you don't see something. I'm not planning to add every installation in China, unless it appears to be at a major park or appears to be a large coaster.
Mrlittle Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 ^ Thanks for putting the list together. I actually forgot about a few of these attractions since they were announced.
larrygator Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 ^ Thanks for putting the list together. I actually forgot about a few of these attractions since they were announced. I always forget what is being built myself and that's why I decided to start these threads a few years ago. Glad you enjoy it.
arby Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Yes, thank you for putting this list together, Larry. One thing I noticed is that Family Kingdom's website is incorrect. I know at least Twist 'n Shout Coaster and Kite Flyer were new for 2013. We rode them both last summer. It really doesn't matter but I thought I'd mention that.
printersdevil78 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Larry, I just posted photos of new (and renamed) rides and signs from SFA's Mardi Gras area in a separate TR, if there are any from there that you'd like to add to the index. Here are a few sign close-ups, as well, in case you need them.
WFChris Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Six Flags Mexico is opening up a Sling Shot this week.
Anac0nda Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Särkänniemi will open a Zamperla Power Surge called High Voltage. Source
Philrad71 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Bittersweet news in regards to the new KMG Speed being built at Martin's Fantasy Island... Apparently, they have removed the old log flume ride: Mill Scream (due to it's age) to install the parks new KMG Speed ride: 'Over The Falls'. Good that they are getting another really crazy flat ride seldom seen in the US, but a bit sad as that flume was pretty cool in that it looked so tame, yet got you so soaked! Hope to get up there this summer and get some photos of the new ride and signage. Comparison photo courtesy of Park World Online. New 2014 park map showing the location - and the removal of the log flume. Some info about 'Over The Falls' from Wikipedia.
simon8899 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 ^^A nice high thrill addition for this cool Finnish park! ^Somehow a letdown replacing a log flume with a carny ride even smaler carnivals get here...
Philrad71 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 ^Not sure if this is credible, but someone posted the below on their Facebook page. If that is true, then I can certainly understand why they tore it down. But being that most people in this area of the US have never seen (let alone ridden) a KMG speed, I am sure that it will be a popular ride at the park. To be honest, I like the fact that they are starting to put in more thrilling flats to draw in more people. I wonder if MFI might be planning on eventually building a better, more thrilling log flume ride in the future? Actually, a rapids ride themed to the old west would be nice, but not sure if that would be really feasible for such a small park.
cal1br3tto Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Scandia Sacramento - Wild Mouse formerly at Casino Pier Minor update: I saw this the other day. Source above; red box mine. I wish they had called it Great Dane! I don't recall seeing that before, nor am I aware of any non-coaster they would be calling a "coaster," so I bet this is the mouse. Anyone know if it's open or if they just got the info up early? I have found zero evidence of this otherwise.
Erik Johnson Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I managed to get a Falcon's Fury sign photo today. Falcon's Fury
Vtafro Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Are we going to have a 2015 version of this thread?

larrygator Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 Are we going to have a 2015 version of this thread? Yes, sirree. I've started it and plan to have it posted by September 1st.
