A.J. Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Hasn't Oscar Bruch been keeping Alpina Bahn really close to the chest? I understand that money is money or whatever, but Bruch's - and Alpina Bahn's - websites make it look like Alpina Bahn is a huge deal to that business.
KingRCT3 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 What is your source? Because those models are pretty generics..
RCoasterny Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Looks like the people who made the model discovered Faller... I don't think Bruch would give up their Schwartzkopf speed racer that easily...
Jew Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 ^That's exactly it. Those are just Faller models.
gerstlaueringvar Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 Probably the park has claimed that the model would be how it actually looks like. I still doubt about the reality of this news.
australianalex Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Chinese knockoff, anyone? I doubt it'll actually be Alpina Bahn. Or at least I hope it isn't.
3Mutts Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Just wondering, but could it be Knightmare from Camelot? The park just closed last year.
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 Saw this one just now. Taken from RCD.
Aceattack52 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I know this is happening in China, but what is making everyone think this is going to be a knock off?
Nrthwnd Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 ^ Because there are sooooooooo many knockoff coasters in China, (and TPR toured A LOT of them), it would just be a real surprise if the coaster gets made by an actual company outside of China.
Aceattack52 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 ^ well sure, but they have some genuine B&Ms there, too.
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 ^ well sure, but they have some genuine B&Ms there, too. Not including the Dive Machine at Chimelong Paradise... I personally call it Death Machine for the unacceptable roughness after the first drop.
MayTheGForceBeWithYou Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 ^That's a pity to hear. I really enjoyed it when I visited in 2008.
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 4, 2013 Author Posted December 4, 2013 ^That's a pity to hear. I really enjoyed it when I visited in 2008. Yup, it was running fantastic in the opening year and things started to change since 2011. The park might started to take less care on it so it went rough. Actually my arm hit in the branch of a tree at the bottom of the first drop(it REALLY hurt!) but the ride op seemed did not care about my complaint... Well, other riders hold on really tight on any coaster so I might be the first and the only one getting hit.
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 This is the concept art of the front gate. Pretty Chinese style, a bit different from most of the other Chinese parks.
Gutterflower Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) The rest of the layout for the Mack. There's that 50m loop which will take the largest loop record from Full Throttle. (until Wanda Heifei takes it the next year) Edited November 9, 2015 by Gutterflower

Well but it doesn't really matter if most people raise their arms or not, if you hit it they HAVE to do something about that as the safety margin is now gone. P.S. Really hope this Mack gets built, looking forward to see what they can do with that height.
_koppen Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 The rest of the layout for the Mack. There's that 50m loop which will take the largest loop record from YOLOcoaster. (until Wanda Heifei takes it the next year) I hope that picture shows up again soon, cause I really want to see it!

gerstlaueringvar Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Here is a layout of the Mack coaster. Photo from RCD.
KingRCT3 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 It looks like it will have a lift, a curved drop and a loop around th lift hill, just like Kumba!
rcjp Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 ^Yes, that makes sense. I wonder what they will do with the mostly out and back (and kind of straight) layout: will it have a loop and then a few airtime hills (hyper coaster-style), will it have inversions which go straight (there are not that many), or will it be a mix? Interesting....
Gutterflower Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 One ride is up Another is on its way Source: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/2563531050?pn=6 No sign of the Mack yet though.
