Gutterflower Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Not much to say that the title doesn't. The park is in Penglai and is home to a Chinese rip off SLC and Motorbike coaster but they've completed the installation of their new Mack mega coaster and it looks like a Blue Fire clone to me. Sure is big. Sources: http://www.vhcoasters.com via http://tieba.baidu.com/p/2529316761
yay101 Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Minus all the rocks and scenery, yes that does look like Blue Fire. At least it's made by Mack Rides and not another Chinese knockoff company.
_koppen Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 And to everybody's surprise, it's blue! Joking aside, that's one of the highest quality rides in the world right there, hopefully they will take care of it.
Angry_Gumball Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 It looks naked without the rock theming, let alone the rest of EP's surroundings. I wonder how this BF will hold up to the original.
GeorgeT Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Awesome...they went with the original there Hopefully this coaster will somehowbe able to fix the nasty air problem somehow...oh poor China
_koppen Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 The ride is actually built at a park called Qihe Happy World. Here are some more up to date photos of it, and it sure is pretty! And the air does look a lot better on these new photos, so it looks like the Mack ride did a nice job of cleaning it up Source
3Mutts Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Funny how this has the exact same colors as Blue Fire even on the trains! Any ways, it's great to see more of theses built.
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 From what I got in RCD, the ride would open next March.
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 The park actually has a LOT of knock-off rides... Glad to see something real though.
yay101 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 It looks so weird not seeing the rocks...but I do like the lakeside setting.
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Construction update from a couple of weeks ago. Also, air quality was better. You can see the knock-off SLC and Motor Coaster made by the crappy Jiuhua Amusement Rides. Along with more crappy knock-off flat rides.
simaticable Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Even if it's not the original, the ride still looks beautiful.
Geauga Dog Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Give them time and Mack knock-offs will appear in the future. I'm still amazed at the amount of new parks opening in China even if the quality isn't top notch. They have to be close to or past the amount of parks the country can sustain. I have a feeling that Shanghai Disneyland is going to put some of these parks out of business.
matteocrepaldi Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Even without theming it must be a good ride!
Gutterflower Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 (edited) There was a bit of confusion between 2 parks on here which is mostly my fault. The parks are built by the same people and have the same ride lineup except for the blue fire ride. Euro Park - Qihe - Blue Fire Clone Euro Park - Penglai - No Blue Fire Clone Anyway below are some pictures of the Qihe park with the now open Blue Fire clone which the appear to have called The Battle Of Blue Fire... which is rather excellent This entrance is rather excellent too. gerstlaueringvar Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 The Bluefire clone only has TWO trains and there are seat belts.
rcjp Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 ^Really? Is it common in China for rides to have them? Or is this something rather new?
simon8899 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Give them time and Mack knock-offs will appear in the future.
rcjp Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 ^Maybe there is still some hope as we haven't really seen any B&M knock-off, for instance. (or is there something planned for that too?)
gerstlaueringvar Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 ^Really? Is it common in China for rides to have them? Or is this something rather new? This is very common, parks seem to try everything they can to decrease the capacity of their rides. Give them time and Mack knock-offs will appear in the future. Given that the park has tons of rides from Jiuhua, I assume the park and Jiuhua planned to knock-off Mack's top technology. Poor Mack! Now I wish Gerstlauer and RMC stay away from Chinese market even though Gerstlauer has a little ride in China already.
rcjp Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 We have a blue fire POV! (forwards and backwards) as well as the chine knock-off Moto coaster POV (must be terrible, read the video description ) Just a second... the links aren't working.
KBrylczyk Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 ^ Sheesh I thought that knockoff Moto Coaster would never make it to the launch. That took forever! Once it got going it looked like fun, though. As for the Blue Fire clone, I really hope they put some themeing in that launch tunnel. It's pretty boring as is, haha.
DoinItForTheFame Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 These rides look great!!! My only complaint... The lack of theming on the Blue Fire clone. The theming makes Blue Fire that much better. So just seeing this one all ... basic is slightly disappointing.
