Hhappy Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 Black Mamba at Phantasialand. Still a fun ride
Moose Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 This is a good ride in an awesome setting. The park did a great job with integrating this ride into the buildings, landscapes, and pathways.
Nrthwnd Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) ^ It was it was! This is one of those big gi-normous steel coasters that really succeed in integrating theming and such. Great queue station, too. Edited January 11, 2014 by Nrthwnd
beatle11 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 That whole park looks like it's themed wonderfully.
gerstlaueringvar Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Always wonder if we can eventually see a SF, CF park build something with a Black Mamba level theming. Phantasialand looks like an amazing park.
amyzoo Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Really great ride at a really great park. I can't even count how many times in a row I rode it during ERT!
matteocrepaldi Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Agree! It's one of the best B&M inverted I've been on!
rcjp Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 ^And probably the last "good" B&M invert to be built, according to what I've heard (let's hope banshee will change that).
vuurvogel Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I love Mamba. It was my first B&M invert and it was an incredible experience to ride it front seat. Love the interaction with surroundings.
Hhappy Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 This coaster model can be found all over the world. These pictures were taken at Freizeitpark Plohn Raupe (Family Coaster)
arby Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Yeah, I think this model is 6 of my total credits. We were rejected on it once (can't remember where) because they said it was a kiddie coaster only.
cfc Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 ^I know I always feel a bit sheepish when I ride one.
_koppen Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Gotta love the wacky worms all over the world. I don't like them, but it would still feel wrong if none of them existed.
cal1br3tto Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Not sure I've ever thought to tally up my Wacky Worms. Just went down my list and counted 11! I've grown to think they have a certain charm to them.
gerstlaueringvar Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Surprisingly, I still haven't been on a Wacky Worm! Those trains looks so...weird
cfc Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 ^Then you have a little less to be ashamed of compared to others on these boards.
Barge84 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 ^ No kidding. I'm always proud of the fact that I'm not a whore, but I did break down and ride the Wacky Worm at Lake Winnie a couple of years ago. Hey, everyone has to try a Wacky Worm!
gerstlaueringvar Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 ^Then you have a little less to be ashamed of compared to others on these boards. I think riding Jr. Gemini was kind of shame as well Despite for it being the start of the legend and KT was the kid I "borrowed". I actually think it has more force than GateKeeper I've heard there's an inverted Wacky Worm named Queen Bee and a couple of spinning Wacky Worm somewhere
CoasterFEV Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 .....or you can go on a TPR Trip and Robb & Elissa can RENT an ENTIRE park ONLY to ride an Austrilian Wacky Worm (and eat a whole bunch of free cotton candy!) Never ashamed of a little credit whoring! It's part of why we all do this!!!
gisco Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 .....or you can go on a TPR Trip and Robb & Elissa can RENT an ENTIRE park ONLY to ride an Austrilian Wacky Worm (and eat a whole bunch of free cotton candy!) Never ashamed of a little credit whoring! It's part of why we all do this!!! That was awesome! The only way to ride a wacky worm!
cfc Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 That stop in Australia was hilarious--lots of fun.
azza29 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 .....or you can go on a TPR Trip and Robb & Elissa can RENT an ENTIRE park ONLY to ride an Austrilian Wacky Worm (and eat a whole bunch of free cotton candy!) Never ashamed of a little credit whoring! It's part of why we all do this!!! That Wacky Worm is about a 20 minute walk from my house. I'm too ashamed to ride alone, so might have to wait for another TPR Australia trip to get the credit.
