XYZ Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Did mine last night. Top 10 didn't change at all. Balder is still #1. Highest ranking new coaster for me was Wooden Warrior, in the Top 20. While the PGA Grizzly sucks, I have a fair number of coasters rated lower. It's totally dull, but it doesn't cause spinal damage like so many other rides. Anaconda and Bandit were right at the bottom.  dt  Yeah, Grizzly is simply boring. Bandit and Anaconda are downright malevolent.  I really don't understand, I always have a fun time on the Grizzly and never consider it boring.
SharkTums Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 ^You also just said you've only been on like three wooden coaster?!!? Â So sorry, but you really don't know what else is out there. Go ride some good wooden coasters then come back and tell us how great Grizzly is.
larrygator Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 How does it come that Anaconda is always on the bottem of everyones list That ride totally kicks A$$, for real... You will feel when you exit the ride... Â The ride doesn't kick A$$. It kicks your A$$, along with your spine. Not fun at all.
RideofSteel Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I filled it out although I've only been on 7 wood coasters this season.....Sad, I know.

Go ride some good wooden coasters then come back and tell us how great Grizzly is.  Well, first of all I did put Grizzly as #2 as Roar really beat the you know what out of the Grizzly.  Though, this summer I'm going to ride the So Cal woodies and see how they compare.
cal1br3tto Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Auto BergBahn That coaster looks adorable. I assume you rode it as a child?
robbalvey Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 LAST DAY for the Mitch Hawker Wood Coaster Poll! Here is the EASY EASY EASY online ballot: http://www.wardleystunnels.org/hawker/
coasterfansince1999 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 1. American Eagle Backwards (SFGAm) 2. Viper (SFGAm) 3. El Toro (SFGAdv)
SharkTums Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I think I take it back...all people shouldn't be allowed to vote in this poll!!! Â American Eagle Backwards? Grizzly? Seeing these in someone's top 3 just makes me laugh!
cfc Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Hmm--American Eagle backwards would be an "interesting" experience.
Guy T. Koepp Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Done and Done! Â 1. El Taco 2. Fav. Steel 3. Over the Shoulder Boulder Dash!
odene497 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Made it under the wire!  1) Fav. Steel- Expedition GeForce 2) Boulder Dash 3) El Toro  85) Twisted Twins (S) 86) Dragon Coaster 87) Hoosier Hurricane
cal1br3tto Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Not sure about red or backwards, but American Eagle Blue forwards is decidedly one of my least favorite wooden coasters. By the way, I'm a bit confused regarding last season: is one side running backwards permanently now, or did they just make the Halloween switch earlier than usual?
Justice Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 ^^That's a *little* sad. I mean, even KT has been on 7 woodies! Its the west coast syndrome. I've ridden a fair 150 coasters total, but only 8 wooden due to the lack of them on the West.
deathbydinn Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Not sure about red or backwards, but American Eagle Blue forwards is decidedly one of my least favorite wooden coasters. By the way, I'm a bit confused regarding last season: is one side running backwards permanently now, or did they just make the Halloween switch earlier than usual? Â They ran Blue backwards from August 8 to September 17. It stays forward for Fright Fest, the last time it ran backwards all season was 04 or 05 I believe.
cal1br3tto Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 ^^Wow, total flashback to my first wood ballot. I was only able to vote 7, all in the western US. Now I only need six western woodies, and that's including half of Colossus. But it'll take me awhile to get to Cliff's. Â ^Thanks for the clarification! I was way off. I wonder if they'll repeat something like that?
Rastuso Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Just posted my first one in many years. Did my best to drop T-Express and Voyage.  Top ten:  El Toro Phoenix Ravine Flyer II Kentucky Rumbler Ozark Wildcat(SBNO) T Express Raven Boulder Dash Mega Zeph (SBNO) Shivering Timbers  Voyage is 16.

SharkTums Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Go El Toro!!!!! (The Intamin one) Â What the hell is the German one doing in the top 10?!?!?! I'm assuming the ECC Trip to Germany had something to do with that? It's a decent small GCI, but it doesn't belong in the top 10.
