CoasterGuy06
^ I noticed the other day it still isn't posted and that seems strange. I want to say it's usually up in November/December. Did anyone else receive the 2014 new attraction survey? I took it earlier, and I want to respect their wish to not post the actual ride concept they were asking about. I will say, it is not something I was expecting and if they really do build the ride it has the potential to be a VERY good addition if done right. I'd bet screamscape will have both things up in time, anyways, I checked Facebook and the SFOG website, but we still have no SkyScreamer construction, and i'm not searching the web, after that Smiler promo ( and realizing the names are very similar) I'm still shaking from it. They made a huge deal out of Dare Devil Dive and now this breaks a height record for the park, an we hardly hear anything about it, if that. What's going on? SFOG isn't promoting this ride that much because it isn't a coaster. DDD brought some cool elements that the park has never seen, and it was the first of its type to be in a Six Flags park, so it was unique. SkyScreamer is located at many other parks around the U.S. and is just not that marketable. It's a flat that spins you up and down a tower, not really much to market. Yeah, but at least they could do a construction update, they did a whole podcast AND live construction update for Monster Mansion. But when we lose a classic ride and get a ride higher than EVERY ride in the park, we don't even get a construction update. EDIT: Plus, at SFGAdv. their SkyScreamer got alot of hype, and it wasn't even the tallest ride in the park. Seriously, with the "Supah Tall" things the GP want these days, you would expect SFOG to take all the marketing oppurtinities that are thrown at them! Each meal comes with one of several entrees. The program features a wide variety of entrees at restaurants all over the park including pulled pork sandwiches, chicken strips, cheeseburgers, pizza, salads, hot dogs, BBQ sandwiches, corn dogs and more. Combo Season Dining Pass If you have a 2013 Combo Season Pass, then you can purchase a combo dining pass good at both Six Flags Over Georgia and White Water Atlanta for just $20 more. Refillable Souvenir Bottle for $9.99 Season Dining Pass members can purchase a refillable 2013 Souvenir Bottle for just $9.99 — a 30% savings. Enjoy free refills on your first visit and 99¢ refills for the rest of the season. The discount Souvenir Bottle can be purchased at the park when you present your Season Dining Pass on your first visit. Frequently Asked Questions How can I purchase the Season Dining Pass? There are two ways to purchase the pass—online or at the park. At the park you can purchase Season Dining Passes at the ticket booths, Will Call, at the Season Pass Processing Center or at Guest Relations located inside of the park. What do I do after I purchase the Season Dining Pass online? The first step is to print out the voucher(s) at home. You will receive one voucher for each Season Dining Pass purchased. On your first visit to the park, you will need to go to the Pass Processing Center to process that voucher. If you have already processed your 2013 Season Pass, the Pass Processing Center will add the Dining feature to your Season Pass ID. If you have not processed your 2013 Season Pass, the Pass Processing Center will process your Season Pass and Season Dining Pass at the same time. What do I do after I purchase the Season Dining Pass at the park? Once you purchase the Season Dining Pass at the park, you will receive a voucher to process at the Pass Processing Center. If you have already processed your 2013 Season Pass, the Pass Processing Center will add the Dining feature to your Season Pass ID. If you have not processed your 2013 Season Pass, the Pass Processing Center will process your Season Pass and Season Dining Pass at the same time. How will the park know I have purchased a Season Dining Pass? It will be indicated on your 2013 Season Pass ID. How do I redeem my meals? When you scan your Season Pass ID at the turnstiles to enter the park, your meal vouchers for the day will automatically be added to your Season Pass card. If you arrive before 3:30 p.m., then both a lunch and dinner voucher will be added onto your ID. If you arrive after 3:30 p.m., only a dinner voucher will be added. As you're enjoying the park, you simply stop by one of the participating dining locations and present your Season Pass ID when placing your order for lunch or dinner. The Six Flags Team Member will verify the photo on the Season Pass, ring up your selection and serve your meal which will be automatically deducted from your Season Pass card. If you wish to order any additional items, you'll pay for them at that time. Where can I redeem my Meal Vouchers? There are several restaurants in the park where the Season Dining Pass is accepted which are listed below. Are there specific times that we are allowed to eat? The lunch voucher is valid from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and the dinner voucher is valid from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. If you have purchased a Combo Dining Pass, lunch at White Water is available from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and dinner is available from 4 p.m. to 6.p.m. Shortened park hours may cause meal times to vary. Do the meals include a drink? The meals do not include a drink. With a Season Dining Pass, you are able to purchase a 2013 Souvenir Bottle for a discounted price of $9.99. Refills are free on your first visit and $.99 each on subsequent visits. Can anyone use my Dining Pass Voucher? Vouchers are non-transferrable. The dining pass is only available to the Pass Holder shown on the Season Pass ID. Participating Locations Big MO's Cotton States Food Court Crazy Horse Deli Daddy-O's Dee Jay's GOTHAM CITY Eatery Hickory Chip Lick Grill Lickskillet Pizza Macho Nacho Miner's Cookhouse Pizzeria Promenade Pizza Scorcher Hot Dogs A wide variety of meals are included with the dining pass. I think seeing the ride from the interstate once it's completed will be enough promotion. Also, the park probably will promote it as the date for park opening gets closer. It's cheaper and more effective that way.

simaticable
It should be up and ready for testing in three weeks then. If that works out well, I could see it opening with the rest of the park first day of the season.
coasternut
I heard from a reliable source (Amusement Today) that the park president - Melinda retired. They're getting a new manager from another 6 Flags park - Discovery Kingdom. Has anyone else heard of this, or can you confirm it? Ed Farmer
These things are pretty much the new Ferris Wheel. I wasn't around for the heyday of the Intamin Triple Wheel, only the end- but I recall often reading that those would be the ones to take that designation. I live near Great America. Since one of these is bound to sprout here any day now, hopefully they name it Sky Whirl and deck it with red/white/blue instead of the day-glo we've seen thus far. gpejsa
Just checking in to see if any of the knowledgeable folks here know when the park will be open first on weekends and then during the week. My family and I are planning a late March visit to the Atlanta region and wanted to hit the park a couple days (if we could). So far, haven't been able to pin down specific dates as to when t he park is supposed to be open. Even past historical info would be of some planning use for us at this point. Thanks in advance! Spring break week can be pretty good if you're panning a trip out to a park. I went to Carowinds the Monday and Tuesday of that Spring Break week and it was pretty nice-there was a reasonably thin number of people who came out those two days. But I guess they expected that because they only ran 2 trains on Intimidator on both days.

If you look at the schedule for last year they opened for weekends on March 17th, but then were open the whole first week in April, and then went back to weekends until late May.
