gdoggy1678 Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 ^ Great idea! uploading now, Will update my original post when finished uploading if you can't view the YouTube one.
chadster Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 ^ youtube doesn't like your music, won't play embeded. Arrg i hate youtube sometimes.... Weird though because the embedded video works for me Were you able to watch it at all? Â If I went to the youtube page I could. I 'd do like Robb suggested, it'd be way easier.
thrillgeek Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Great behind the scenes video. Hopefully I can get a new job and save money to go next year. 2 times in 3 years would still be really nice for me.
robbalvey Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 ^ Great idea! uploading now, Will update my original post when finished uploading if you can't view the YouTube one. Done! Â [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=720p_7lxq[/coastertube]
gdoggy1678 Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 ^ Thanks will have my timber mountain one uploaded tomorrow!
Mr.Wood Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 last time I posted was Nov.2009 (although I have been fowling on FB and Twitter) I loved all the WCB stuff. Great updates!!! I have been saying it for years that one day I gotta get out to one of these events> Thanks again for all the fun.
RoCo Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I have been saying it for years that one day I gotta get out to one of these events. Â Do so. The WCB is just wall-to-wall ass-kicking fun. I don't know if local weather coverage noted this, but it didn't rain water this past weekend; it rained AWESOME SAUCE, baby! Â Thanks again to everyone who worked tirelessly on this event, including the TPR crew, the Magic Mountain and Berry Farm hosts and ride ops who stuck it out in the cold, wet weather so we could run around like maniacs, the tour guides and presentation speakers, the food preparers (lunches both days were excellent!), etc, etc., etc. Â Just another 360 days, roughly, till the next one!
Dan Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 ...So, who asked the "in the rear" question at KBF? ^ Probably Dan. While I'd love to take credit for that one, it wasn't mine  What a weekend! Thanks so much to everyone for making it great and to R&E, KBF, and SFMM for making it all happen
robbalvey Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Here is the Q&A session from Knott's - highly entertaining and very informative!
freefallXL Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 It´s not easy for an outsider to get in touch with a group with a different language (wich isn´t my alternative language). But i want to say:  ..it's just amazing how it all is brought over. I'm thrilled. The answers of the questions are funny and interesting. It brings the atmosphere through the videos, TPR is having. The gift shop for Xcelerator wheels was a great idea You, TPR asked really good questions which brought a bright smiling on my face. Again and again.... and again!  A special painted pony express for ERT with fire and fog, backwards ... How do you get this questions? Further, it seems that Gertrude was asking some questions, too Thank you so much for sharing this awesome videos with the rest of the world.  I'm not an insider, I'm just a fan ... but this video teached me some more about international amusement industry. The employees of Knott´s are just awesome as possible. Can´t describe it - that much as i want - but this is really (!) highly entertaining and very informative, ..and teaching (educational).  THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Rotura Violenta Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 This is going to sound ridiculously nerdy, but did anyone happen to get pictures of the indoor drop on the log ride? Â I have a weird, quasi-Freudian obsession with indoor drops and dark segments (don't judge) and would love to take a peek at its sexy fiberglass curves. (I took a ride on it once when Knott's was doing surgery on the mountain, and part of that room was sunlit, but not enough to get a good look at the drop.)
Rcp123190 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Honestly I have to say Saturday was a fun day...I had to agree with Robb that the outside seat on Superman did not bother me at all. I just want to thank Robb again and the Six Flags Managment team for putting this event up for us!!
Chrisrad Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Â A special painted pony express for ERT with fire and fog, backwards ... How do you get this questions? Â I apologize for that. I was simply building on the SFMM Q & A trend that revolved around everything going backwards with explosions. Â I guess I didn't realize that every question would be answered.
HalinVic Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Some off-ride video from West Coast Bash. Sure was fun on the backstage tour to be able to take video standing right under some of the rides. Â Â Â Â Â
chadster Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Anyone know who what paper the reporter was with that was taking our picture @ Knotts?
Gmaster562 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 ^ I can remember a lot of it, but I don't what order its in. Maybe someone, like Robb, remembers it, or wrote it down.
RCFreak Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Anyone know who what paper the reporter was with that was taking our picture @ Knotts? Â The Buena Park Independent.
ILoveRides Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I totally forgot about that. Did our picture make it into the paper?
fatdaddy Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Started working on a TR, but man I took a lot of pictures. Gonna try and post some things other people have not, I mean the TPR post were pretty complete, but I got a few original shots.
brattius Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 2011, each year this event has something different to offer. Something that sets it apart and leaves a permanent mark on your memory. This years West Coast 'Splash' was no different. Rain or shine, each park offered so much and continually takes that extra step to entrance us and enrich our experience. From the added special effects on the rides (fog, strobe lights, unique soundtrack) to the back stage tours (Tatsu, Timber Mountain Log Ride, Xcelerator) to the presentations poking fun at our questions while dropping so many hints for things to come; they shine. The very hard working dedicated crew at each park, in cooperation with Theme Park Review, has given us another one for the books. Thank you.
