O Demon Avenger Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 The site worked great for me using the 32 bit version of Internet Explorer and Safari Web browser. I could not get it to work on using IE64bit or google chrome, but I am running an old AMD 64bit 939. Probably has a lot to do with type of machine and browser you have.
Skycoastin Steve Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I can't wait for this to invariably be the coaster that EVERYONE thinks is going to be the newest ride at their home park for the next 10 years. Wooden supports going up? It must be the Intamin 12-inversion coaster! B&M track on site? 12-inversion coaster! It's the Aquatrax for the new decade. Can't wait!
SharkTums Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 ^Nothing will ever truly replace the Aquatrax rumor!!!!
CorkscrewFoley Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I'm still having issues with Intamin's website, grrrr. But as for the 12 inversion coaster, I can see like CF picking this up, and adding a MCBR in somewhere.
HappyEisentrout Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 In order to have a ride with 12 inversions, it needs to be compact. and the corkscrews wont be painful. Look at Colossus at Thorpe or Fahrenheit - Hershey? They're all very smooth ! The Layout is genius  Fahrenheit for some reason felt like it had bad wheels everytime I rode it, so it was rather rough everytime. I mean Intamin wheels go bad all the time, I have experience in that, but this was pretty bad. Fahrenheit is great and all but a little tame to what I prefer. Nice layout though.
DJeXeL Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 ^^^Once a park in the states actually announces they are building one, there will be chaos.
ScottBrown Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Could it be possible that there is a difference in all of those corkscrew like elements, like a couple of them would be like the corkscrews on Colossus and the others more like the roll overs on Maverick?
FeelTheFORCE Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Off topic:Funny you should post that because I actually have the NL versions of both that (the lift hill version) and a launched version I downloaded a while back. I don't remember who made them or what site I got them from (probably either here or CS), but they are very well done. Â Someone actually recreated these? That would be very interesting to have a look at. Â They are currently on my computer at my apartment about 50 miles away, while I'm here at my parents' house for Christmas break. When I go back I'll be sure to upload them...unless someone else has them. Â Â Sorry it took so long, but here they are. The lift and launched versions. Again, I did not create these, nor am I taking credit for them. They are simply for enjoyment purposes only. 12looplaunch.nltrack 12looplift.nltrack
Gigalyte Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Thanks for those Nolimits files, makes me want one of those 12 inversion Intamins in the states even more now. If Viper at SFMM ever comes to the end of it's service life this would be an awesome replacement IMO.
packfanlv Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Having been on the 8 and 10 inversion varieties, I think this is going to be too intense. But I am sure some park will take it because having 12 inversions is EXTREME. Don't get me wrong, I am sure it will be a fun ride, but not something most people could ride more than once. At least Intamin is pushing the envelope and that is a good thing in my opinion.
deathbydinn Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Could someone film the No-Limits recreations for those of us that don't have it? Thanks!
Fabio.Abrantes Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 There are rumors here in Brazil, that the Hopi Hari theme park bought 12 inversion ... for the park said it bought a roller coaster world record 0. kilometer of the Intamin and scheduled to open in April 2012. I'm hoping she is right, Brazil because the only time a hit record with 8 inversion world, of Monte Makaya roller coaster.
Intarider Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Actually I wouldn't be surprised if we will see one or two installations of the 12-inversion coaster in 2012. Apart from Skyrush, there haven't been any major Intamin projects announced yet and there are some clues which parks may build one. Apart from Hopi Hari it is suggested that the new-for-2012 Cinecitta studio park in Italy might also get one. This rumour was brought up by the german coaster blog coastersandmore.de, and their predicitons are actually very reliable (for example, they knew weeks in advance that BGW's 2012 coaster would be from Zierer).

For Brazil it is very difficult to get a large roller coaster, because this country has no business to make the rides, always having to come from other countries, making the price of the ride over rates implemented on the ground and more preparation for mounting a roller coaster ... the park itself has made subjects for magazines in Brazil, said it had bought the roller coaster with more turns of the world. Many Brazilians are happy with it, but I think other parks are also looking to the 12 inversion Intamin, and will not have any problem screen, it is better for a roller coaster more than a less! Hugs.

(Plus, your signature picture is way too large, Fabio.Abrantes)
deathbydinn Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 I highly doubt it. They haven't built a coaster since 1999! Â That doesn't mean they won't ever build one. If what they have was working for them, thats great, but eventually they're going to decide to bring in a new coaster. Besides, other parks have gone longer, there were 23 years between Hersheys first and second coaster!
Intarider Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 ^Good point. If they haven't added a big new attraction for over ten years, they will probably have saved enough to pay for a new coaster. And to build the coaster next year or the year after is a good move, since in 2014, the soccer world cup will take place in Brazil and will bring lots of tourists. And to have a world record is sure to mobilize the crowds, especially as the GP usually like inversions and say things like "Expedition GeForce is boring because it doesn't go upside down" or something like this.

I justed posted it because the probability is low for a park to get a coaster that didn't recieve a coaster in a long period of time.
janjaoguedes Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Brazil was a record braker with the first Intamin 8 inversions in the world, located at Rio de Janeiro. Now it's time to show the world that we can have another monster like that and it's time to São Paulo do this! I'm really excited about it and gonna be so happy if Hopi Hari bring this coaster to Brazil breaking a new record!!!!!
Intarider Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 A new interesting rumor is that unfortunately, the 12-inversion coaster would not be installed in 2012, neither in Brazil nor in Italy- however, both countries would get a clone of the 10 inversion coaster (Colossus). This has been posted at Coastersandmore.de along with the Gigacoaster rumor at Knott's. Statt dessen wird scheinbar der "Klassiker" neu aufgelegt: Der 10-Inversion Coaster soll im nächsten Jahr gleich auf zwei Kontinenten installiert werden.  which would translate into  Nearly ten years after the presentation of the Intamin record holder, no park or manufacturer has dared to top the mark of ten inversions. Intamin offers an interesting layout with twelve inversions, but prospects do not seem to have taken the bait. Instead, the "Classic" 10-inversion roller coaster will apparently be re-issued on two continets.  http://coastersandmore.de/rides/bestof/bestof6.php
matteocrepaldi Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Where do you see it's going to be Italy?
Intarider Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 There will be a new park in the Rome area next year. It will be a studio park by the Cinecitta studios which turned films like Ben Hur and it is said to have a budget of $800 million. It has already be semi-confirmed that it will have some kind of Intamin rollercoaster, and most rumors point to a multi-inversion coaster. Â Homepage of the park: Â http://www.cinecittaworld.it/main.html
matteocrepaldi Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 I forgot about that! Don't expect it to open that soon.
