Jcoaster
You guys remember those ladders leaning on the theater before demolition? Those were clues to tell us a 4-D free-spin was coming to the lakefront since the ride looks like folded ladders. All in the Six Flags theming. JonnyRCT3
But I also feel like we deserve something greater than a free spin since we're a flagship park and our last roller coaster was used. I didn't know El Diablo was used.
neil009
^ Agreed, they are ugly. It a huge part of my problem with it going in front of the lake. Thank you to Fooz for posting this in the SFFT thread months ago. It still makes me chuckle. YES! That is EXACTLY what it looks like. A giant Dr. Seuss creature's head in profile. Except it looks like it should be angry to me. An angry giant Dr. Seuss creature's head in profile.

boldikus
Hopefully it goes over the lake Great Adv will never build a coaster over the lake. If front of? Yes. Not in or over. The township is super anal about it and besides the lake would wind up filled with phones and weaves.
woolandmammoth
The blue track was proven a fake. Blue coasters look great. Wish there were more. Right now, Id have to say the odds are: 65% - Freespin 25% - Premier Launch 10% - Other This whole no hints / teasers nonsense is awful.

The picture was a fake, yes, but the blue rumor originated before the picture came out. I'm still holding out hope. Probably a bit futile at the moment, though. boldikus
^Me too. It was there for a few weeks. There was a video making the rounds on FB last month of a gritty POV from RMT where the woman seated ahead of the cameraman lost her weave by the end of the ride. Pretty great. There has also been a weave on the handrails of one of Toro's camelbacks for a good chunk of this season, not sure if its still there. I hope it is, it gives it more character than the Jersey Boys ad ever did. I'm gonna start calling the park Six Flags Weave Adventure.
Jcoaster
True to Six Flags nature members of staff are too lazy to remove the weave. I swear to christ this is the only park in the country where it is commonplace to see weaves hanging on or around rides.
Superbatboy
Wigs should be considered a loose article and not be allowed on the ride
boldikus
^ Right after you pass the attendant that wands you head to toe for phones/loose articles then they can have another attendant yanking on peoples hair to make sure its real. I can't wait.

I can't wait. This has a very Seinfeld episode feel too it. George wears a toupee and a ride attendant rips it off after Jerry, Elaine and Kramer warn him they would do it. In all seriousness only this place allows for weaves to be hanging off their 10+ million dollar investments.

boldikus
Anyone know how often maintenance inspects the actual ride structures/supports/etc? I imagine the trains/brakes/wheels/etc are every morning but wouldn't a maintenance fellow pass the weaves at least once a week or so and at the very least throw them on the ground? I can't see how no employees notice these things. #weavegate2015

Comeagain?
They should be walking the track pretty much daily. I'm in the "it's funny so they're leaving it till told otherwise" camp.
Mega_Coaster_77
I dont understand why the park hasnt done any teasing for 2016 at all. Last year we got a loop and batman backwards and they at least gave us a few little picture and riddle hints. This year we are supposed to get an attraction that is going to "Change the skyline of an untouched area of the park" and we dont get anything. I find that very confusing. I mean this and the fact that the park approached the state with plans of a roller coaster confirms we are getting some kind of coaster, but im surprised they didnt take the opportunity to at least hype up whatever is coming. woolandmammoth
You'd think some minor teasing would be done. Maybe generate a little hype? Nothing. Nail in the GADV don't give no $=!+s coffin. Further proof that it is a B&M giga with 3 splashdowns.
boldikus
While it's weird and kinda lame they aren't doing any teasing, at least there is some activity to geek out on. Great Adventure History posted a great trip report with a ton of nice demolition photos.

Lol I'm sure the people who lost them would love to get them back but man those things are disgusting after they've been outside for awhile. On a related note, we generally hunt for phones, wallets, and keys as our top priority. Most other things aren't considered as important and this includes weaves.
