DonkeysWaffles Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Y'all crazy if you think a hyper is the best choice for the park. If they were to go with a B&M, my first choice would be an invert. ...still the best type B&M has to offer. 2 inverts at one park seems odd to me. I'd be beyond disappointed of they go that route For the last time, we are not getting an Intamin.

grsupercity Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 I thought the first part of I232 to be great, I find the ending to be very lackluster. You want a Chance hyper But then you have Diamondback which is one of the most airtime filled coasters ever (and is my No. 6 coaster). I, I, I dont understand

Projektion Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 In 2010, and CF hasn't had an single Intamin installation since
grsupercity Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 In 2010, and CF hasn't had an single Intamin installation since I dont care regardless because I rarely make my way to KD. Its a great park and im hoping to go again next year. But I am saying that for all we know Intamin could have been busy these last couple so they havn't been bidding on rides

I'd be beyond disappointed of they go that route I don't think 2 inverts would be weird at all, there are lots of parks with multiple inverts (CP, SFDK, Dorney, KI, etc). A new B&M invert like Banshee would be a completely different experience than Volcano. Plus, it would be a big hit with the GP and be a major people eater.
Fooz Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Y'all crazy if you think a hyper is the best choice for the park. A B&M hyper would fit in great, but an Intamin would be too similar to I305. New in 2017! The tallest...second tallest coaster in the park. The longest... second longest coaster.. It also has no loops!... Well.. Wait 'till you hear about the capacity!
I305forever Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Why are people saying KD shouldn't get an intense coaster because they already have one? Whats wrong with having several good coasters. Personally, while I would love to see another Intamin, CF is ignoring them for some reason and probably won't install one of their coasters anytime soon, so I think a large B&M invert wold be great and wouldn't overlap with Volcano that much.

Tee1999 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Intamin is gone people, we're not getting another ride like I305. The next ride is gonna probably a b&m hyper or wingrider.

LiftThrill Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 To everyone saying KD needs more amazing Intamins: we all wish our home parks had Intamins (mine has none lol, I've only been on one Intamin coaster and it was a bobsled, although I've been on an Intamin chute-the-chutes)
DILinator Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Shoot the Rapids at CP had that accident in 2013, where the boat flipped over. Intamin made StR. Intamin also made CP's other most frequently broken down coasters. CF has definitely had their share of headaches with Intamin, and it certainly seems like they have made it a point to go elsewhere (frequently, B&M) for coasters recently. Does this mean a CF park will never get another Intamin? I don't believe it necessarily means that. But I do think it looks likely that we won't be seeing a massive new Intamin expenditure from CF for a little while longer. I would love to see some more Intamins at Cedar Fair parks (specifically, a Bizzaro (SFNE) clone+ at MiA, and an Intamin pre-fab woodie like El Toro+ at CP! ) soon, but I have real doubt that it's going to happen...
I305isadrug Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 I feel really lucky to have ridden Fury 325, Intimidator, Apollo's Chariot and Intimidator 305 within a three day period two weeks ago, all running under essentially the same weather conditions. I wasn't sure before but now feel strongly that i305 is the best giga out there after riding it back when in it opened and again this summer. Apollo's Chariot really surprised me at its slightly beyond floater air time (for a B&M) compared to other times I've ridden it. It was a lot of fun without a doubt in a great setting. For the newer B&M hypers, I think Behemoth is still ahead but the others are all very similar and just about as good (Intimidator and Diamondback). Compared to i305, Fury 325 is for sure more re-ridable as it is less intense but i305 was just so addicting that the grey outs and ejector bruises were well worth it. It was all well balanced out by the twisty layout. No one does quick transitions as good as Intamin that I've found to date, although Fury 325 gave it a fair shot and does it less aggressively, which isn't a bad thing. I think the only coaster that is more intense than i305 in the US so far is SkyRush. KD, you've got such an amazing gem of a coaster there in i305 and that doesn't even take into account that you also have the awesome Volcano. What a great collection of coasters overall within a couple hours drive. Couldnt have said it better myself, B&M tries to match Intamin but they can't. If you can't handle Intamin then stay out the kitchen!

coasterbill Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 ^^ The post you quoted is a great post where someone is simply stating their opinion. You on the other hand simply assume that people that have a different opinion than you do only have that opinion because they "can't handle" I305. I've said it before and I'll say it again... I can "handle" it just fine, re-ride it constantly when at KD and have it on my top 10. It's amazing. That being said, I like Fury 325 a lot better. It's my opinion and it's not based on "Not being able to handle" I305... I just think Fury is the better ride. It has better restraints, better airtime (in my opinion, and I don't know or care if it's more forceful airtime but I know it's much more enjoyable with clamshells), I prefer the layout, I love the turnaround, I love the headchopper and I love the intense run out to the turnaround. Just my opinion of course. See how I did that... I stated my opinion without bashing yours. You should try it sometime.
cfc Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 (edited) OK, everyone needs to cool off a bit here. Some prefer Intamin. Some prefer B&M. We all get it. For some folks, like me, this is the most important criterion when "judging" any ride: Is it any fun at all? That should be your main concern. Edited July 18, 2015 by cfc
