Honestly June wouldn't work. We would have to go in April or May, so it looks like no Black Mamba for us unless they get it open early. Oh well, at least we have some great TPR members nearby to fill us in!

If anyone hears that it may open in April or May, let us know please!

I'd say you have good chance in May. Heck, they might even finish it until April, but I just would not count on it!

^ They will have an awefull lot of themeing to do, and I think it'll take them a while to get this sorted out. Additionally all of the coaster testing, clearance checks, safety checks, etc etc. I dont think It'll be open til June.

I feel better now that I'll be getting on the ride in August when it should be up and running for good!

Hey you live fairly close to me, only a 4 hour drive or so.

We should plan a trip over there...or meet up at some UK parks sometime!!

Would be fun, in an....'im not a perv,' ...sort of way.

I'll be open by June most definately! Who says the theming has to be completed? Half the attractions in the park are not fully themed yet, but are already open. If it opens in April you probably won't see all of the theming, but don't count on the ride beeing closed...

^i think with this ride they will need to watch the theming closely if they do open it early, to make sure the clearances are ok for the trains. lots of tunnels, ditches, and flybys.

It's going to be great regardless, and I've never been to Phantasialand before.

They should have sorted all the clearance issues out in the initial planning stage.

Does anyone know the length of the trains yet? I'd tentatively say 7 cars.

^Yes but they always have to do a pull-through test to make sure. Just like they did on EE. we're only human, we make mistakes sometimes.

From what I have heard, B&M usually doesnt do pull-through tests. Apparently they are very confident in themselves. I have never seen pictures of a pull-through test on a B&M, but I wouldnt be surprised to see it on Black Mamba because of the tight clearences.

I noticed on the some of the supports in the pictures looked like they were already mounted to the pedistool and bolted down securley already. I noticed that it looks like they are putting a wooden frame around it to possibly put another pour of conecrete over the existing bolts. Am I possibly wrong about this, because that what it looks like. Does anyone have any idea as to why they would do this espcially if they need torque the bolts again down the road. A good example would be pcitures 6 and 7 there are other pictures furter down the page that show the wooden boxes around the peditsools, that have alraedy been poured. : http://freizeitparkweb.de/cgi-bin/dcf/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&forum=DCForumID1&om=2799&viewmode=all

^ a final layer of concrete on top to secure all the gaps between the bolts and the concrete footers? Im no engineer, but I guess thats what they are doing.

Can't wait to see this ride have some color and texture with the theming

Sweet jumping Jehovah! Please tell me its soon September so I can ride it! Maybe I need to plan a recon trip there in April or May just to make sure the park is worthy of our presence in September, yeah, that's it!

In case you haven't realized... That is a fake (and a poor one to boost too)...

There still needs to be a lot of theming put in before they start testing...

In case of saying that, Some parks test before themeing is put in, I'm sure something like Journey to Atlantis went through testing first before themeing was put in at SWO.

this is just my opinion. I could be wrong, but this seems more believe-able, then what you said.

Something didn't feel right when I looked at that picture. As if my spider senses were tingling. I thought it might be photoshopped.

It still looks cool.

WOO HOO ! POST # 500 ! I'M A REAL COASTER ENTHUSIAST! YEE HAWW!8)

^I thought it was obvious that it had been photoshopped, especially since the train would be running into workers and construction machinery.

Glad to see more of an interest with this topic now though!

You'd think that after looking at these pics for a while, you'd get tired?

Nope. This baby gets juicier and juicer. Seriously, and I repeat, coaster track shouldn't be able to bend like that.
