Real Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 The Mummy at USF. That ceiling fire is amazing... dt Ditto
Dr Freeze Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 If you consider Backdraft at USH an attraction I would have to go with that. Maybe it's considered a show. Other than that, I would say Mummy, Pompeii, and Jaws
What Now Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Honorable mention goes to USH's Mummy Fire...oh wait...NO! It's amazing how they got fire to be sooo cold!
(~!-Fantasmic!Freak-!~) Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Indianna Jones and the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland, California. I like the fire that shoots up and the realistic looking lava when you go over the creaky bridge.
Nrthwnd Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Backdraft was pretty spectacular - with that unexpected OOOOMPH at the end of the show, too. Great flaming show/attraction.
OldJJman Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 A lot of good ones mentioned so far (Escape from Pompei, Fantasmic, ROTM-USF, even Backdraft) but I think I'll have to agree with Elissa and have to go with... Valhalla at BPB. Amazing! JJ
rollermonkey Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I'm leaning towards Temple del Fuego. I haven't been on some of the others listed here(ROTM), but in general, fire is cool!
Fry Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Temple del Fuego is the most awesome flame related attraction I've ever done. It's a lot better than Valhalla, which I thought sucked.
coasterguy618 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Escape from Pompeii because the effects are very cool especially when it looks like the statue falls on you. And the fire is pretty cool.
momo1tx Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Escape From Ponpeii's fire is very good, and I actually like the way PKD's Volcano shoots up fire between rides.
dandaman Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Illuminations: ROE is an attraction, right? *is ecstatic that the inferno barge is back*
haiderodes Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 My vote goes for USF's Jaws. The ending is awesome...the combination of fire and hot steam makes for a great experience!
captain Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Best attraction: Templo del Fuego - Port Aventura, Spain Best Show Fire - Fantasmic (MGM) It`s gettin hot in here....
RaptorBoyASU Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Valhalla all the way. I thought I was going to be burnt by all that fire.
CoasterCrazy Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 The ceiling fire on ROTM at USF! I love rides that use fire!
robbeal Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Valhalla's fire at the end is pretty cool, and nice and warm after the wetting too! I've not got a great deal to compare it to though, apart from maybe the quick spurt on Holiday Park's log flume! or Heide Park's powered coaster. Nah, doesn't compare... I'd love to ride Tomb Raider though, there's something I find really appealing about that ride.
ECZenith Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Another vote for USF's Mummy, I also really like the exploding truck on Earthquake.
BMPP Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Me being a typical english person...walked into Tempel Del Fugo, with no idea what I was letting myself in for. OMG I thought I was going to die, the best fire effects ever. Mummy was good in florida, but I thought I had singed my eyebrows in TDF!
BarryH Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 USF's ROTM USF's Jaws (that thing is hot, even on the other side of the boat!)
Luxo Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Wasn't there real fire on Jaguar at KBF? I'd love to have seen that! Edit: I liked when Jaguar! at Knott's had that burst of flame as you passed it on top of the temple. But that was turned off a lonnnnnng time ago. I guess I have gotten my answer!
CoasterKid Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Backdraft and the old Miami Vice show; USH
UberBeavis Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 The Christmas Tree in the lobby of the Grand California Hotel Um... personally, I'd give it a tie for USH's Backdraft and Port Aventura's Temple Del Fuego.
