gisco Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 ^Rumors were he just had a bad heart No rumor, he had a heart attack a couple months ago.
molemaster43 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 RIP Michael Clarke Duncan, this guy had a funny role in Armageddon. Poor guy.....when this is what you get remembered for first. Nothing wrong with that. I really don't see why everyone hates that movie. It is really entertaining.
gisco Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 'Moon River' crooner Andy Williams dies at age 84 Anyone younger than 40 know who this is?
BeemerBoy Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I really don't see why everyone hates that movie. Because it sucks? ^ Yep. "I didn't think he'd do "Moon River," but then -- bam! -- second encore!" - Nelson Muntz
Skycoastin Steve Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 'Moon River' crooner Andy Williams dies at age 84 Anyone younger than 40 know who this is? Yep. My mom/grandparents are huge fans, and always have his music on during family visits over Christmas. Awesome voice.
cfc Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 It's a sad day for jazz fans: RIP, Dave Brubeck (91 years old). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faJE92phKzI
mightypotato Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 The Dave Brubeck news is extraordinarily sad. He was quite possibly my all time favourite musician. I'm very glad I had the opportunity to see him perform back in 2009.
gisco Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 Sad to see that Dave Brubeck passed away. We used to listen to him all the time when I was in Jazz band back in the 70's.
Philrad71 Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 That stinks about Dave Brubeck...I love me some Take Five! It was amazing that he & his band were still doing tours well into his 80's. I had the chance to go see him at the University of Buffalo a few years ago and passed...now I regret it even more.
Sir Clinksalot Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 This probably doesn't mean anything to those outside of CA ... Huell Howser has died. http://blogs.ocweekly.com/navelgazing/2013/01/huell_howswer_dead.php

Jew Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 R.I.P Dr. Jerry Buss. Greatest sports owner of all time!
BeemerBoy Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 ^ Agreed. And that's coming from a lifelong Celtics fan.
Saldek Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Bonnie Franklin from One Day At A Time lost her battle with pancreatic cancer today. She was 69. http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/tv/2013/03/01/bonnie-franklin-one-day-at-a-time-star/1957127/
cmullin Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 ^ Agreed. And that's coming from a lifelong Celtics fan. Me too, I hate the Lakers but I have to admit he really knew how to win. RIP Jerry Buss
Nrthwnd Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 RIP Bonnie Franklin. Great Broadway dancer/actress, too. (1970's Applause w/Lauren Bacall)
cfc Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) Someone better call the Undertaker--William "Paul Bearer" Moody dead at age 58. He managed (often under the name "Percy Pringle") pro wrestlers in other promotions all over the South, as well. Edited March 7, 2013 by cfc
aLFREd_25 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 ^^ That's really unfortunate. I used to be really in to wrestling when I was a lot younger. He did a really great job in the WWF. I remember liking him, hating him, then re-liking him. Sad to see him go.
bert425 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Someone better call the Undertaker--William "Paul Bearer" Moody dead at age 58. He managed (often under the name "Percy Pringle") pro wrestlers in other promotions all over the South, as well. I was shocked to see he was only 58! He looked SO old back in the early 90's already. from all reports tho, he was a very, very nice man, so it's a shame he died so young-ish.
beatle11 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Canadian Legend Stompin Tom Connors passed away today at 77. Pretty much every Canadian knows this tune.
bert425 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Harry Reems dead at 65! I was gonna post this, but wasnt' sure it was "appropriate" (since many posters here seem to be under 16). but yeah. . I fell in love with him (one of my first man-crushes) the first time I stumbled across my Dad's "hidden VHS collection" the first MASTER of the MUSTACHE. it was *legendary*
