Mr. Starr Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 ^^ and ^ I hate you guys. Well at least Memorial Day weekend isn't ling after that! Griffin! What if you shadowed me on Physics day?!
traincrossin Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Well technically i'm a student in college still taking physics classes, should we all try to get in?
sfgamguy Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 That or a Eurofighter (but hopefully neither of those). Still think a mid-sized looper like NE's Batman is something the park lacks and would replace Iron Wolf best next time the park adds some steel. Speaking of IW has all of the track/supports been shipped out yet? Answering this, Yes they are long gone and good riddance!
Ejectorbater Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I hope this coaster is a winner. SFGAm is a great park that deserves a great new coaster. I look forward to observing the progress of construction.
KDCOASTERFAN Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 That or a Eurofighter (but hopefully neither of those). Actually the new colors they've shown so far look pretty good but are far different from those in the animation.
Jerrykoala2112 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Track has finally moved to the construction site! (Right hand, middle)
-Edge of Beast- Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Finally. It's nice that they're finally getting that track to the site! I wonder how long it will take them to start actual vertical construction? Ah well, I'm just happy to see that they are getting somewhere with it.
Mr: Ry1996 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 If you look on the webcam now, it looks like the first support is up Aswell now.
deguy123 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 ^ Awh look how "cute" it is...lol I seriously need to get to this park, it's one that I've wanted to go to for a long time. With X-flight opening it just makes me want to go more!
Mr: Ry1996 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Look at the webcam now, Tracks up !. Looks like track for the station.
-Edge of Beast- Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 (edited) Never mind. LOOK BELOW. Edited January 4, 2012 by -Edge of Beast-
deathbydinn Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 (edited) Those are the supports on Demon's turnaround. The only supports up are close to the track. Also, notice the trench next to the first small support, a water feature perhaps? Edited January 4, 2012 by deathbydinn
-Edge of Beast- Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Or look at Jon's, it's much more clear. That trench is probably where all of the wires/technical stuff/other, etc will go. Or is that where the station is going to be located? By that animation video, it's hard to tell.
deathbydinn Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Two large supports for the first drop, and some more track have gone up! Looks like they're just starting at a random point of the ride, instead of with the station like the other B&Ms built this year have. I'd guess the ride going over and under itself and track on both sides of the station have something to do with it.
DejaVu The Ride Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Or look at Jon's, it's much more clear. That trench is probably where all of the wires/technical stuff/other, etc will go. Or is that where the station is going to be located? By that animation video, it's hard to tell. The supports around the trench will be for the turn into the 4th inversion. The station will be on the far left of the webcam. Hope that helps!
Jerrykoala2112 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Thanks to the warm weather Chicago has been getting, (high today was 54...) So I guess the crew was really kicking it today!
Mr. Starr Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 That angle looks really good! Nice to see they're taking advantage of the nice weather today!
GriffyTiffy Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 They have been very lucky with the weather this season. No real snows, warmer temperatures, It's all working out for them!
jynx242 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 ^ Awh look how "cute" it is...lol I seriously need to get to this park, it's one that I've wanted to go to for a long time. With X-flight opening it just makes me want to go more! You will definitely enjoy it! It is a truly lovely park and one of my favorites in the chain.
sfgam#1 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I think they should try and get alot done now before the freezing snow comes! !!! But the x-flight tracks looks so pretty! !!
-Edge of Beast- Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 That is some sexy B&M. Wow, I hope I can go back to SFGAm next year. I've been missing out on a lot of their great rides!
ilrider Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Brake run (I think) and large support up today! Looks great!
