Big Mike
I am surprised your cup even lasted that long with the New Jersey crowd. I always like the Lady Bebe kissing pictures Peace, Big Mike
OldJJman
I like Nitro too, but #3, not a chance in hell! I think I have it down somewhere in the mid 20's. Still a good ride though. JJ
adeuce02
its his trip report. I personally like nitro and its my number 3 behind eltoro and dragster of all the rides ive ridden. But you dont like bizzarro wow. But anyway nice trips having fun reading them
the ghost
^ Did they ever say they didn't like it? Anyway, awesome trip reports guys! I someday hope to go on one of these trips, and in a year or two may do a California credit trip and hit up the Cali credits I still need(crazily, I don't have two credits from my home park, but hopefully that will change this summer) BTW, isn't Bizzaro just SCREAM! on steroids? The Bebes
Actually, we said we liked both Nitro AND Bizarro. Simply, Nitro didn't live up to the HYPE, and Bizarro's re-theming didn't enhance the ride experience enough to warrant another hour-long wait when almost everything else in the park was a walk-on. Who would honestly wait one hour for a ride on Medusa/Bizarro when they could ride El Toro four times in that same time span? Now, if you want to defend Dark Knight, Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train, Runaway Mine Ride, Rolling Thunder, and the Six Flags Locker Policy, then you'd be talking about the things that we really thought sucked!!! -Mr. Bebe PS - ^^^Big Mike, I really love those Lady Bebe kissing pics too!!! Josh Linn
I can see where he's coming from on Nitro. I first rode Nitro in 2002, and at that point I had no more than 20 credits, if that. I thought it was insane and it instantly was in my top 5. Fast forward to my next ride in 2008, and I was extremely disappointing. Other than the helix, the ride was sort of boring. I didn't get the airtime I got on my first ride...I might have been lifted out of my seat 5 times. Definitely not deserving of a top 10 ranking worldwide, IMO. deguy123
Sounds like you guys had a great time there. I agree that I'd ride El-Toro over Kingda Ka anyday. Great Adventure has come a long way over the years with cleaning up the park because it was becoming very trashy. Also the people saying your complaining remember you have to account for their age....... I'm looking forward to heading to the park but nothing new added is forcing me to go back there (I skipped last year). Until I ride Bizarro I can't put an opinion on that but I don't think it will be much different then "Medusa".
larrygator
Personally I think Nitro has held up well over time and deserves its spot in my Top 10. Even after riding 100's of new coasters over the past 4 years, I think Nitro still packs a punch. I've ridden it 4 seperate days this year and it never disappointed. sfgadviperboi
Almost everything in the post was a complaint. If you count the + vs the - you will see the differences. It reads to me as if you gave positive reviews to two rides in the park.
sros1fan
^ There is only 2 good rides in the park IMO, Nitro and Eltoro. They only have like 6 flats in the park and none of them are that good. The park looks like crap with all these big empty spots every where. Last year i visited gradv 10 times and this year i have only went 2 times with a planned visit in the fall for the riding of the bull event. So unless they start adding more rides i dont think i will be going there more than a couple of times a year.
Calicoasters
Wow! I just got through reading all the excitement of a two week, 50+ Roller Coaster Tour and I will sum it up in one word... Jealous! What an awesome Vacation! Good Coasters, Bad Coasters, and everything in between. I love the Whack-A-Mole picture from Hershey Park!
The Bebes
Perhaps our sarcasm comes across as negative, and we failed to RAVE about every ride that we liked. Here's the breakdown: The rides we liked: -Nitro 8/10 -El Toro 9/10 -Skull Mountain 7/10 -Batman:TR 7/10 -Superman:UF 7/10 -Bizarro 7/10 The rides we didn't like: -Dark Knight 4/10 -Roadunner 3/10 -Blackbeard 4/10 -GASM 5/10 -Runaway Mine 4/10 -Rolling Thunder 4/10 We had one bad ride on Kingda Ka, but chalked that up to the backseat and didn't get an opportunity to try another seat, but having ridden TTD & Xcelerator, we still rated it a 7/10 on our CF list. The rapids were uneventful. The parachute drop was nostagically fun. The park was clean, pretty, and much better than we ever expected. We spent a whole day (plus a few hours extra), from open to close, with very few lines and still could've used more time at SFGAdv. We had quite a good time and would recommend it to others. As stated before, our TR's are very tongue-in-cheek and all about fun. The ride reports are personal opinion and perhaps a bit critical. Take from them what you may, but we hope you have FUN reading them.

sfgadviperboi
Ok I mis-spoke. Ka SUCKS in the back seat. It has ruined my day. The front is a completely different experience and has very minimal shaking. The general rule of thumb for me with Ka is the further back the worse the ride. GASM has been smooth this season so the roughness you talk about suprises me. May I ask did you dislike Dark Knight because it was a wild mouse only? I found DK to be the best standard wild mouse I have ridden. I am happy you pointed out the nice surroundings the park has to its advantage. I think only SFDK was a nicer SF park. Perhaps our sarcasm comes across as negative, and we failed to RAVE about every ride that we liked. Philrad71
I agree with most of your comments regarding SFGA... * El Toro is definitely in the Top 5 all time coaster experiences. Currently holds the #1 spot for me. I got a three ride mini-marathon at the end of my night too! * Nitro is great, but not a #3. * Bizarro was not worth the long wait. In another year, it will be a walk-on again like it was when it was Medusa. * Dark Knight isn't very spectacular after all of the pre-opening hype. An indoor spinning coaster would have worked much better than the mouse. * The Congo Rapids ride was definitely the lamest rapids ride I have ever been on. What is the deal with a lot of these parks turning off the waterfalls lately? Is it that expensive to properly maintain a couple of water pumps? *Rolling Thunder is a piece of crap. It was the only coaster (besides Kingda Fail + kiddie coasters) that we didn't ride. I remember the pain of riding it last time and did not want to go for a repeat. * Runaway mine train is a lot like the one at CP - very jerky around the bends. I heard my spine crack at least three times during the ride! *GASM was very rough and jarring in the front seat. I think I like Viper at SFMM much better. *Biggest plus for this park besides El Toro and Nitro....Heineken draft at Granny's!
The Bebes
May I ask did you dislike Dark Knight because it was a wild mouse only? I found DK to be the best standard wild mouse I have ridden. The Bebes Wrote: If you’ve been following our reports, you know how much we LOVE wild mice rides (NOT!). So, yes, we disliked it just because it was a wild mouse. Also, the pre-ride theming gets you ready for something more than what is delivered. And the light-up cardboard standups cheapen the ride further. I would've much rather it have been a spinning mouse in the dark, or a better dark ride experience like Curse of DarkCastle. -Mr. Bebe
The Bebes
I think Hershey is the only park with a Whack-a-Mole(Could be wrong)....That thing has been there forever. Actually, Whack-a-Mole is at almost EVERY park. Kennywood, Great Adventure, Dorney, and of course Hershey all have one, but the Hershey was the first time Mr. Bebe was photographed while playing. Mechanic
I've been enjoying this multi park PTR from the very start. It looks like you Bebes know how to have fun, and that's what really matters when everything else is said and done. I see no need for you to apologize for, or defend your opinions. I personally thought they were put forward with a sense of playful sarcasm that has been a part of the reports from the beginning. Keep up the great work! I look forward to the chance to say "Hi" during TPR's Termination day.

The Bebes
DAY 9: Washington DC Tuesday June 2, 2009 Lady Bebe woke up Tuesday morning feeling awful and fell back asleep. She awoke again around Noon and decided that she wasn’t feeling well enough to go anywhere. She insisted that Mr. Bebe go it alone and return with some ultra-phabulous photos of our nations capital. Mr. Bebe finaly agreed and got in the shower. Once Mr. Bebe was finished showering, Lady Bebe announced that she was going to suck it up and go. We decided we’d take it easy and just ride the hop-on hop-off bus around town, take our photos and return to the hotel. We got ready and headed into the heart of downtown Washington, DC. It got too dark to get any exposure. We returned to Union Station around 10pm. Here’s another McDonald’s! We returned to the hotel. Lady Bebe was feeling fine, was super glad she came and was ready to visit Six Flags America tomorrow!!!! The World War 2 Memorial with the Lincoln Memorial in the background The Jefferson Memorial at dusk The Washington Monument at sunset The statue in front of the Capitol A small monument near the capitol in silhouette Here is the Capitol Building at dusk. We returned to Union Station just in time to take the Twilight Tour. It was the same Grand Tour as before, but there were no stops, and it was at night. We got off the bus and waited for the Grand Tour Bus to come around and return us to Union Station. The sun was low and would soon be setting. We notified the local police of the offenders. Mr. Bebe wasn’t paying attention. This was one of our bus drivers. He said that it was imperative to keep an eye out for offending tree branches while riding the upper deck of the bus. And even more Georgetown And more Georgetown More Georgetown Georgetown Lady Bebe was just kicking back enjoying the breeze in her hair. It started getting very overcast about this time. The clouds were threatening. What’s that? We would disembark the Arlington bus at the Ford’s Theater and switch to the Uptown Bus Route. We grabbed some sandwiches from the Lincoln House Restaurant, and waited quite a while before our transfer came. Here’s the house across the street from the theater where Lincoln died. Why does that make Lady Bebe sooperdooper happy? McDonald’s in Washington, DC’s Chinatown. Notice the Chinese writing beneath the name. All Chinatown establishments must be written in Chinese. Real Washington, DC types walking the streets More Washington architecture Arlington Cemetery Crossing the river into Virginia and Arlington Cemetery A view of the opposite side of the Lincoln Memorial The White House!!! We would get no closer. A building We got off the first bus in front of the Willard Hotel, where we boarded the Arlington Bus Route. Lady Bebe snaps photos while Mr. Bebe plots our route. This is the Ford’s Theater. This is where Abe Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth. He was taken to a house across the street where he died. Maddam Tussauds Wax Museum. Didn’t go there either. The International Spy Museum. We didn’t go. Another bit of Washington architecture Here’s another nice building. We can’t remember its’ significance either. We’re really seriously. Yet another view of the Washington Monument, this one from across a grassy park An artsy view of the Washington Monument The Lincoln Memorial. Sadly, we didn’t get off the bus here, but should have. Another view of the Washington Monument from across the water Jefferson Memorial A view of the Washington Monument Here’s a nice building. We can’t remember its’ significance. We’re seriously. Here’s a nice building. We can’t remember its’ significance. Just kidding. It’s the Capitol Building!!!! This is the bus line that we rode. There were three different routes (Grand Tour, Arlington, and Uptown) included, but they required bus changes. We’d try to get all three done, but it was already getting late. More Union Station. It has beautiful marble floors, statues and nice woodwork. THIS Union Station is gorgeous. It’s really more like an upscale mall. There’s Union Station. This is the main hub for train and bus transportation and is where we will purchase and board our bus tour. Driving in Downtown Washinton, DC sucks really bad!
