I've been trying to find info about the opening date but can't find anything anywhere. This news is promising... Anybody have a hunch of when this actually opens? manifest
That's relieving to hear. I read elsewhere the opening was delayed until December, but was a bit skeptical considering where I read the info.

Nrthwnd
It's looking very nice, there. I would love to see how it all fits together with the rest of Tomorrowland, maybe from a drone's overhead shot, etc. That would be cool.

PKI Jizzman
Was anyone else at the park to check out the Haunted House? I believe it featured different spooky characters from several movies: mutant toys from Toy Story, Alice and Wonderland, etc. I saw an article about it on one of the news-rumor sites and it looked too good to be true! Nightmare Experiment haunted house looks like it happened: http://www.disneytouristblog.com/halloween-hong-kong-disneyland/ If anyone was there please share your thoughts! The major development plans extend the excitement and amazing growth at HKDL, as the resort is set to open the eagerly anticipated Iron Man Experience officially on January 11, 2017 and the richly themed Disney Explorers Lodge resort hotel later in the first half of the year. HKDL has continued to grow since its opening in 2005 and has broadened its appeal to families and young adults as well as diverse markets, including local, mainland China and overseas guests. The three themed areas launched between 2011 and 2013, Toy Story Land, Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Point, have enhanced the park’s attractions and entertainment offerings and boosted the park’s attractiveness to different market segments. In 2013, Mystic Manor was awarded the prestigious Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement – Attraction, the equivalent of the Oscar in the theme park industry. In the following year, the nighttime parade “Disney Paint the Night” was launched and subsequently honored with a Thea Award. In celebration of HKDL’s 10th Anniversary in 2015, the new stage show “Mickey and the Wondrous Book” and a new walk-through experience “Fairy Tale Forest” were introduced. This past summer, “Star Wars: Tomorrowland Takeover” presented attractions and offerings themed after another classic Disney franchise. “The all-new developments will further reinforce HKDL’s position as a world-class tourist destination for everyone, including families and young adults, and help build lifelong memories across generations of families,” said Samuel Lau, executive vice president and managing director of Hong Kong Disneyland. HKDL’s two shareholders – The Walt Disney Company and the Hong Kong Government – have agreed on the development plans, subject to funding approval by the Company’s Board of Directors and Legislative Council for their respective share of investment. Hilltopper39
Two thoughts..... 1. Moana doesn't open until tomorrow but it must be REALLY good if they're already planning a show/attraction. 2. I wonder if the the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction rumored for Epcot will be similar to what is shown in the concept art here. I know Disney likes to develop attractions to be used at more than one park when possible so there's a chance. This all looks amazing, especially the Frozen section. I love what they did with Norway in Epcot but man this looks like it's on another level. The aquatopia looking sleigh ride looks so cool, maybe they can find a way to squeeze that into the pavillion in the future.
Garet
Didn't another article mention that Buzz would also be going for the Marvel area? Maybe i'm reading too much into the last concept art with the shooting ant man ride but I wonder if they would just retheme Buzz for a Marvel ride than remove it. Would mean an easy conversion for some of the other parks down the line if the reaction goes well. ^ The concept art does give off a Aquatopia vibe almost but I wouldn't be too surprised if it was artistic liberties and turned out to be similar to Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, but it could go either way. Edit: It was in the article linked under the concept art: Starting in 2018, a new Marvel-themed ride (taking the spot of a Buzz Lightyear attraction) Edited November 22, 2016 by Garet
gerstlaueringvar
Future is looking good for HK Disneyland! And it will be so funny when you're sweating you a$$ off in the insane Hong Kong summer heat while walking around Arendelle. coasterfreak101
Wow, every part of this looks amazing. Between Grizzly Mountain, Mystic Manor, and all of this, I'd say HKDL is about to go from one of the worst of the Disney parks to one of the best! kenban
Ant man is a replacement for Buzz. This is one of the few Marvel properties which should be able to appear at Disney World. We might end up seeing it at Disneyland or Disney World. Also looks like there will still be two easy expansion locations left after this work is done. There will still be a gap between Toy Story Land and Frozen, plus an area next to Grizzly Gulch.
coasternate
I wish Disneyland in California would get a nicer castle too, but I can't imagine how much that would anger the purists....
