nowaymang Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 The videos aren't streaming over my browser. I'm running Ubuntu 8.10(32-bit) and using FireFox 3.0.4 as my browser. I was able to see the videos prior to the change in player. Still able to download OK though.
robbalvey Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 Can everyone have a look at the new player and let me know if you are having problems? www.themeparkreview.com/tprtv
coasterlover420 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 That circle keeps spinning and the video ain't playing... not loading for me...using XP with Firefox
spacemtfan Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 ^ I'm having the same problem. The videos are not playing.
Airtime&Gravity Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I just get black where the video is supposed to play, and I am running Firefox on a Mac.
nagro5 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Okay, I'm on a different computer now and the videos are playing wonderfully. It only stalled a few times, but not enough to get annoying. I'm not sure why it's playing on this computer but not the other one though. They are both XP and IE7.
robbalvey Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 December 17th Update! TPR TV has had quite a few bug fixed and we need more help testing! The big question is, are you still seeing the videos lag? We have installed a new video player that should help with buffering videos and reduce the amount of lag while watching videos. Please let me know if are you experiencing any lag and if you are is it better or worse than other flash video sites that you browse? To access TPR TV click here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/tprtv/ Feel free to test other things like uploading videos, rating videos, adding comments, etc. Thank you for your help! --Robb
ernierocker Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I tried both Safari and Firefox on my Mac and everything is running good!
robbalvey Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 ^ Ok, that's good to hear. I think I probably need to post the TPR TV link to the front page again because we saw the lag the most when lots of people were looking at it. But I'm glad the player is working now. --Robb
hansrubens Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 There are no problems with buffering here anymore. Keep up the good work. ----Hans

gisco Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I'm still getting lag on my DSL connection here at work. I'll try at home tonight on my cable.
robbalvey Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 Yeah, I'm still getting lag also. It will play for about 10 seconds, then stop, load, and play again. Is everyone watching several videos all the way through or just opening up a video, watching for a few seconds, and then reporting it works fine? It would be helpful if you all could let me know what you did to test. Thank you! --Robb Testing Forum Videos: [tprtv]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=spaceworld_web_1[/tprtv]
Hhappy Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 i did watch a bunch of videos all the way or at least so far that the buffer was full.. No lag for me
ernierocker Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I watched at least two videos all the way through. The only lag I experienced was while the videos were buffering. Once the buffering was done, the video and audio worked smoothly all the way to the end.
gisco Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I have a problem similar to coolhandluke. Whenever I click my own videos, it takes me to Disney's Pirate and Princess Party 2006. The only problem I see with your 2 videos is that the Dorney Park 2007 points to Six Flags Park video. Upload the Dorney video again.
ConleyKE Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 I'm still getting a little lag. It will show that the buffering is about 30 seconds ahead of where I am currently watching, but it still stops for a few seconds to load more. The same thing happens to me on youtube though, so it might just be my connection. Also, I found it a little difficult to see how you are rating the videos. You can't see any stars before you rate (not even just outlined), so it looks just like a white gap. If you hold your cursor over the area, it will show either 'poor', 'worth watching', 'pretty cool', ect., but not how many stars you are giving. Hope that makes sense and helps!

Yeah, this issue has been noted, but we wanted to fix the streaming problem first. Thank you for letting me know about it, though as this is exactly the kind of thing we are looking for! --Robb
nagro5 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Okay, I'm having the same problem that coolhandluke had. When I click on the video titled "Cedar Point & La Ronde 2008" the video "Cedar Po!nt Video (with old footage of Mantis & MS!)" comes up. I just thought I would let y'all know.
VinTheAttendant Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Fixed, I have to reupload one of my videos, but that shouldn't be a problem.
