Anfronee
Hey Rob. I recorded a short video and uploaded it. It uploaded really quick and was there immediately. The only problem that existed was the voice and the video does not match up, but i have the same problem if i directly upload a video onto youtube as well. If you want/need me to try longer videos/different file types let me know.
cfc
Robb, I made a short MOV video and tried uploading it from my computer twice. No soap--just went back to the main TPR TV screen without finishing the upload.
robbalvey
^ & ^^ Thanks for the help guys! Are you able to convert the .mov to any other file and try to upload it? I need to see if the problem is user based, file type based, browsers, cookies, etc, etc.... If anyone could help us out by logging into TPR TV: www.themeparkreview.com/tprtv (use your forum username/password) and try to upload a video, any video, and let us know your results. Thank you! --Robb
Mr Stratosphere
I uploaded an .MPG that was about 30 seconds long. It was a successful upload. John
cfc
Sorry, Robb, but if it takes more than a "Save As" to convert a file, it's beyond my meagre video capabilities.
Speeddeamon128
I finally got a video to upload! It is in mp4 format.
CoasterLine
Robb, if this is an issue only affecting larger filesize videos, have the programmer check to see if this issue is just based on PHP's limit to filesize and upload time... I've had some issues with uploading larger files on PHP with some of the settings in the php.ini configuration file.
robbalvey
^ It's affecting any size video. The php.ini has been adjusted to allow large file uploads already. --Robb
Anfronee
Hey Robb. I recorded another video and converted it to a WMV file in Windows Movie Maker, and i had it set at the highest quality. The file size was close to 19 MB. I tried uploading it, and once it reached the 11MB mark the page reloaded and took me to the "Upload Video" page. I will try again. Let me know if I should try something else. I see Tyler uploading alot of Test videos, so if you have it taken care of just say so and I will stop uploading videos. haha. robbalvey
^ Nope! Not totally taken care of. The more test videos to upload the better! Thanks for helping out. --Robb
USCoaster
Robb, my question is about the videos posted in forum topics. Is there a way to set the videos so they don't automatically begin buffering when you open a forum page they have been embedded in? Its not much of a problem if there is a single video on a page, but when multiple videos start showing up, it has to buffer all of the videos on the page each time you load that page. Specifically, in the Shane's Amusement Attic - Kings Dominion post linked on the TPR home page (page 118) there are 3 videos and the Kings Dominion post. After buffering the multiple videos all of the images timed out and I had to right click and click "show picture" for each image. My download speed is 1700 kbps. cfc
Robb, I tried uploading that short .mov file again. It shows up in my account, but the thumbnail is blank and the video won't play. I also got this error message: 303: Failed to load a resource Unable to load resources: Error #2124 Does this help you any? Sigh! No one will get to enjoy the splendor that is "Expedition Everest v. Godzilla."

What I think we will have to learn once TPR TV goes live is to try to limit the amount of videos you post per page. Just like each individual photo needs to load up in a trip report, so will the videos. And depending on how long the videos are and how many additional photos are on each page, it could take quite a long time to load up everything. The problem in that particular post is that there are 5 videos (some of them quite long) and lots of photos. It will simply be a "learning curve" on how to post TR's with lots of videos. FYI - the same thing would happen if you uploaded 5 videos to the TPR Forums with the "add attachment tool." --Robb

Sir Clinksalot
Added 4 new videos, the complete Fantasmic from Disney's Hollywood Studios. Because the sound sucked on the camera, I dubbed it with the music from the CD (Stereo Quality) except for a few things like explosions, etc. I'm pretty happy with it except for the end when people started leaving early and got in my way. Enjoy [tprtv]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=Fantasmic_1_ptw9[/tprtv] [tprtv]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=Fantasmic_2_jarq[/tprtv] [tprtv]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=Fantasmic_3_o1ul[/tprtv] [tprtv]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=Fantasmic_4_3l4d[/tprtv]
