flaffstar99 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 The tower grows really fast, this already 1/4 or 1/3 of the real hight! And a new opening appeared This should be the exit for the first drop, it looks that its going to be a 90° turn in the drop. Source
Nrthwnd Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Hansa really has a thing for enclosing it's lift hills, lol. Fluch Von Novgorod, Die Schlange von Midgard, and now this one. Maybe it's something to do with the decreasing the scream levels. But I would like to think, they're just being innovative with their lift hills. EDIT to add: Come to think of it, this park is the only park I know of in the world, that will have three coasters with enclosed lift hills. Is there any other park in the world that has this many, or even more? Just curious.
Barge84 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Magic Kingdom WDW - Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Seven Dwarfs.
larrygator Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Magic Kingdom WDW - Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Seven Dwarfs. Also EuropaPark - EuroMir, EuroSat, Matterhorn Blitz, Phantasialand - Winjas, Temple of the Nighthawk If you want to include elevator lifts as enclosed.
alexinla Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 New Artwork, plus some stats: -First Drop 67m -Track Length 1235m Source: Hapa Facebook Forum
gerstlaueringvar Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Great! Another teal coaster! I guess teal is the new orange.
flaffstar99 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 It has also this Element after the first Drop, that should look like a heart: Non-Inverted-Sea-Serpent-Roll. Sounds a bit crazy BTW: This the Inverted-Sea-Serpent-Roll: I hope the coaster gets a few Airtime humps..
BDG Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Higher quality artwork. And the final stats: tower height: 79 m (259 ft) ride height: 73 m (240 ft) drop height: 67 m (220 ft) ride length: 1235 m (4052 ft)
BDG Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 The tower is at 40 m now: http://www.xn--krnan-gra.de/de/baublog/
gerstlaueringvar Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 ^ Given that it has dark ride sections and that height, I was hoping for a longer track length, a much longer track length...
Tanks4me05 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 ^Hansa Park is simply not a large park. The land that Kaernan is sitting on is about as large as an SLC (or Nessie), so I'm honestly blown away that they are stuffing a complete hyper coaster in that kind of space. Plus, Skyrush is only 3600 feet of track (something like that) and that is by far the best steel coaster I've been on.
RyanTPM Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I saw the full layout on Coaster Friends and it looks like a great coaster. The vertical lift and drop is fantastic.
DLex Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Those stats are very promising! I can't count on artwork to be exact, but still I'm liking the look of the tbar lap restraints too.
Tanks4me05 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 ^^Found what you were referring to, by the way. http://www.coasterfriends.de/forum/4927-2015-neuheit-der-schwur-des-kaernan-hypercoaster-gerstlauer-hansa-park-79.html
RyanTPM Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Those stats are very promising! I can't count on artwork to be exact, but still I'm liking the look of the tbar lap restraints too. It should have Lap bars the same as Karacho at Tripsdrill.
gerstlaueringvar Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Wow the tower is going up really fast! Is it made of cement? Haven't heard about cement drying that fast before. The full layout looks just as good as I expected, great job Gerstlauer! I guess there won't be a MCBR?
BDG Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Topped off. Took less than 2 weeks (if you ignore the foundation). View from the park entrance... at the opposite side of the park: photos by hansapark-fanclub
RyanTPM Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 ^Incredibly impressive. Is that the full tower height? because it's stated as being 79m high.
Nrthwnd Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) ^ Maybe the actual lift hill is in the back half of the building, extending up and over the tower? Then the dive into the tower and out through the bottom, carved out, there.. I don't remember the concept art, but do remember, it's all "subject to change", etc. Edited September 9, 2014 by Nrthwnd
torrecillailla Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I was wondering, will this be the first Gerstlauer's hyper coaster? I have checked the company's website and the RCDB but I couldn't find anything similar. The coaster looks awesome, and I love how the park creates expectation by revealing the details gradually. I find curious that, though Karnan will open next year, the construction won't finish until 2016, just the same as what happened last year in Tripsdrill with Karacho, the ride opened but they were still theming it during the season. We can expect a deep thematic inversion if the construction will take that long.
Kooky Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 It is nearly sure/known that it will have one kind vertical lift or elevator inside one side of the tower and the drop inside the other side (the tower seems to be split with a wall inside) as some people mentioned before. But it is still not clear what kind of lift it will be... most likely a vertical chain lift (maybe with LIMs to lower it in a break down case) or maybe an elevator. They released some pics from the inside of the tower on their official Homepage (http://www.xn--krnan-gra.de/de/baublog/bilder): This one seems to be the view from the train entrance from the station up to the hole were the train can pass through to the drop-side of the tower. the opening seems to be very wide, so after the released artworks it will use 4-people a row trains, maybe the ones they used on the smiler. the entrance for the trains!? maybe the supports for the station!? and there are more photos from their facebook page... (https://www.facebook.com/hpfanseite?fref=photo) ...like these two nice night shots:
