Coupon Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Just to show that I am actually working on something... Path will be changed, dont worry. -.- SFW.
CoasterCreator9 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Thomas the Tank Engine. Very nice.
QueerRudie Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 OK: I give in. You win... Here's a shot from a new park under development- Flying Gardens. This is the CR Coaster, Hurricane, and the Platform built around it. (Yes, I know, this goes against my general principles, but here goes anyway. Â SCR73.BMP See? It's a building. And our NEW Intamin Wingrider (Non-inversion) Â SCR75.BMP And the queue line, too. Yes, More structures. I feel like such a weenie.
coasterfreak101 Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Oh man Dotro, I'm so excited to see this done! Let me know when I'm needed again
emberfoot4565 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I redid the second half. I think it turned out pretty well! What do you guys think? teaser coaster new.bmp
A.J. Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Aha, an original RCT park! Â The only thing I don't like are those corkscrews. The train would probably be tearing through them.
BigDipper 80 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Continuing along with my current desire to re-create Intamin launched coasters... I don't have the Sketchup skills to model the volcano itself, but if anyone wants to build it when I'm done with the supports, I'll gladly send you the track file!
emberfoot4565 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Aha, an original RCT park! The only thing I don't like are those corkscrews. The train would probably be tearing through them.  If you see the ride in action, the train isn't going too fast. Thanks for the nice comment though!
Commando Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I am the only one here who does knex? Â Â Â Â This is the B&M looper I have been working on. I am currently working on the loop.
QueerRudie Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 That's pretty freakin' incredible- all around. I seldom see K'nex construction with that level of style to it- Nice job!
PSiRockin Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Lots of nice screens recently. Â Knex coasters are really neat, that one seems to have a good start.
AJClarke0912 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 A K'nex coaster with realistic supports? Yes please! Â I prefer CoasterDynamix, but honestly, I prefer NoLimits over CD or K'nex. Less manual work, more benefit (greater detail). Although, you can't display your design on a table or something lol.
coasterfreak101 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I absolutely LOVE when people do Knex with tubular supports. So nice.
A.J. Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 It's not a B&M Looper, it's a K'nex looper. I don't understand where you get B&M from, I mean, B&M's coasters aren't made of plastic bits that snap together.
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 ^If that was serious... he is referring to the way the ride will look when it's finished, it will be a B&M Looper. If B&M actually used K'Nex it would still be a B&M right? lol.
harper83087 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I am the only one here who does knex?    This is the B&M looper I have been working on. I am currently working on the loop.   How much does something like this cost roughly? I know the K'nex serpent coaster is the most expensive of their models, at least from what I've seen. How many sets are required for something like this? I love building things and using my hands and have bought a few of the smaller 20-40$ k'nex models but have always been intrigued by the serpent.
QueerRudie Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Another take on the Tester Gardens flyer idea... "Dragonsflight"  SCR77.BMP Stationhouse/queuehouse  SCR78.BMP In 'flight'

Screamin' Serpent sets are about $60 - $80 with shipping off of ebay. I have I think 9 or 10 of them and that will get you something the size of this: Â Â And yes when I say its a B&M Looper I mean its a knex model that is ment to look like a B&M looper. For example in the video above I built that model to resemble a custom Intamin mega lite. Â A.J. says: When you use tags, make sure to include the whole URL. Edited September 14, 2011 by A.J.
harper83087 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 ^Awesome! Thanks for the info. I haveto start looking into this because it looks like a great way to pass the time. I've been thinking about creating a Maverick recreation with the smaller models, the only issue is I don't think I have the space to build it
PSiRockin Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I like this layout, might edit it though. Thoughts? Â design?
funkeymon Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Instead of another loop how about a corkscrew? It will make the ride seem to flow better. If you do the loop, have it go through a trench like Montu.
coastercrazy 9 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I like the loop, if it was a corkscrew he has basically made a raptor recreation, with a different finale.
PSiRockin Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Thanks everybody. I'm going to edit most of the post-MCBR part, I didn't really notice how short it was (it's not horribly short but it's bad for it's height).
