Califolf Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Finally worked on the Centerpiece/Focal point of Veja Mundo park in the Benetti Resort (look in sig for link), inspired by the Catalina Casino in Catalina island, CA: Of course, I shall be doing some additional landscaping. Also, finally worked on the layout of the park (or, at least, the major waterway). 'tis gonna be a fairly small park:
A.J. Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I wish I had the time to waste on massive RCT2 parks. If I had been anywhere near as good as I am today back when I was 17, I would have been cranking out projects like there was no tomorrow. Looking good, Califolf.
emberfoot4565 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 More progress! Coming soon, Somerset Valley Amusement Park Teaser GCI.bmp
The_Mad_Hatter Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 (edited) Looks just like the real thing, Califoif! Really nice work Maylene. Love 'em. Edited February 27, 2011 by The_Mad_Hatter
Maylene Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Needs more, textures. Like information and a "how to use". It's a work in progress. Meaning it's not complete. The little details will be added when I get to them.
A.J. Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Have you thought of making them in a generic theme as well, Maylene?
the ghost Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Coming Soon... Cedar Valley... A Cedar Fair park in virginia! SCR27.BMP Bandit SCR29.BMP CCI SCR28.BMP Some of the station
doublestufforeo Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 ^ I really like the layout to Bandit, especially the opening sequence of hills in that little ravine. I can't wait to see how that station comes out as well!

The little details will be added when I get to them. I know what WIP means, It was just a suggestion since you didn't say it was a WIP.
CoasterCreator9 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 A boring afternoon resulted in this: Worth a thread? Work in progress..
braztaz Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 ^I like it! @Ghost: I like where this is heading, very nice layout

The little details will be added when I get to them. I know what WIP means, It was just a suggestion since you didn't say it was a WIP. Well, since this is "The Preview Thread - Show us what you're working on..." WIP is implied to every post here unless stating otherwise. Not to mention it's still not imported. Case in point, It's not done and minor details that are merely texture issues will be worked out. ON topic! CCI, That turnaround looks gorgeous. Very realistic, The footers are very well placed.
andyuk200523 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Introducing Avondale Gardens! Where dreams become reality.......... Let me know your thoughts, this is my first public park ever using CS in RCT3, ever since the old Danimation days of Spotlights......Alton Towers, seems like an age ago!!!!
tiger01 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 ^ I'm guessing the park is in England? Good but would be nice if there were sunny pictures.
emberfoot4565 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Only at Somerset Valley Amusement Park Teaser Predator.bmp
djbrcace1234 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 You have a clearance issue on the main lift hill support when the coaster goes under itself. Other wise, fantastic. One of the better Suspended coasters I have seen.
emberfoot4565 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 ^ and ^^ -Thanks for the nice comments! djbr, unless it has to do with the support work being in the way, it seems like a clearance issue because of the angle I took the picture at. At a different angle, you can see its really fine. Thanks!
PSiRockin Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Amazing, nice layout and use of terrain. The 4d coaster track isnt as good as a wooden would look though, due to the 4d coasters track jutting out, imo.
10ryansmith Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Hey, Im starting in a new park and Im having some issues. Me being me: Ive made a coaster, liked it, but thought of some way that its wrong or how it would be better. The issue?? I now have four layouts, small differences in each and I need help. Which is better? SCR186.BMP From bottom to top (left to right) Its Cyclone, Cyclone 2, Cyclone 3 and Cyclone 4.
SoCalCoasters Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Amazing, nice layout and use of terrain. The 4d coaster track isnt as good as a wooden would look though, due to the 4d coasters track jutting out, imo. Actually, Suspended-Swinging Coasters have a guard on the underside of train that hooks into a groove on the lift hill that keeps the car from rocking, and looks similar to what the 4th Dimension Track looks like. Ryan, I like Cyclones 2 & 3, with two looking sightly more clean. You might want to try each one in your park, and see which one looks the best with foliage and stuff.
PSiRockin Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 ^Oh yeah, they do, I had forgotten about that for a second. I say Cyclone 2, or even better, 3 without the MCBR.
