  1. Trying to get back into the groove, coaster will be enclosed -
  2. Overview of a Theme park I've had in my head for years. Done the other week, shall do more of this in the future -
  3. Something I did earlier this week - Seriously, what is that thing?
  4. Liking the overall look and feel, but as mentioned before, do try to vary your textures as well as increase the height of your facades if possible; it'll make for a more immersive environment. By the way, will there be performances on the lake?
  5. The first part of Veja Mundo's Expansion - the construction of the French subsection within Old World - has opened. This new subsection immerses guests into the streets and gardens of Paris. First thing guests walk into are two Parisian streets, lined by ornate lamps and old rows of buildings; filled with shops and restaurants of authentic materials (do try the crepe shop). To the leftmost building houses Nighttime Stroll - a dark Old-timer vehicle ride loosely inspired by the film Midnight in Paris. Across the way is a large amphitheatre for live shows featuring authentic french music - On the other side of the tracks, still within this subsection lies the two tallest attractions in the park - * A scale-model recreation of the famous Eiffel Tower stands at a height of 150 feet and offers views of the surrounding Floridian area. * Seine Splashdown - Ironically has little to do with the actual river and is more of a glorified, highly-themed shoot-the-chutes/wide flume with a brief indoor section. With a final splashdown drop of 75 feet, this attraction dwarfs the park's signature Lore of Thera by 20 feet. Overview of Seine Splashdown Overall, this land has been well-received, and has drew further anticipation for other expansions. There are even plans to expand this subsection by adding a village adjacent the Eiffel Tower. Only time will tell if these plans will go into effect.
  6. Um... it's still the resort o.o Time again for a quick update! First off, a new land has opened towards the back of the Studios. In an attempt to allow a more reliable place to meet K9 Animation's core characters, as well as to further promote the already family-friendly atmosphere, Pawprint Plaza was made. Pawprint Plaza is a colorful little land, designed to look like something out of a cartoon. Rather small, this land contains three attractions: * Lara Labyrinth - A dark ride based on the ever-popular Valleydog, is rather wacky within itself. * Grand Carousel - Self explanatory * Ladybird - a wild mini-coaster through a vineyard Lara Labyrinth at center, Carousel right across: Ladybird: In another part of the park, the space formerly occupied by Hollywood cab Has been replaced with a nice park, complete with a recreation of the Los Angeles Landmark - Angels' Flight. There are plans to expand this area, and perhaps add-in another attraction. Meanwhile in Echenima Park, a stage has been built adjacent the showbuilding for Harbor Cove Adventure, designed for live performances by local groups and artists, as well as special park events. Also in Harbor Cove, adjacent Adventure's show building, The Cannery has been shuttered with plans to replace it with a thrilling new attraction called Seismic 9.5, which will simulate an intense earthquake. And that should do it. Until next time, hasta marfle!
  7. Just a bit of things coming up for a certain MARFlepark - Future 'kid-friendly' section - Props to anyone who can figure out the Los Angeles landmark being referenced/recreated here -
  8. I see you all have problems with the overall look of the Yukon Adventure facade, particularly in regards to the choice of terrain and shrubbery. The choice was all within reason - the ride and surrounding area was based on a comic (this one to be exact). So, in an effort of immersion, I designed the facade on the overall location, and took cues from the actual concept art, hence the faux snow. Anyways, now that we got that taken care of... Mini-update time! Happy New Year from the Echenima Resort! The countdown celebrations proved to have been a popular event, and the parks now in the process of renovating and prepping for the upcoming months. Save for the previous picture (shot at Echenima Park), we will be focusing on the K9-Falliday Studios in this update. In response to increased crowds from new additions and parades, 'side paths' have been added adjacent the major parade route - Down at Camino, the area's facades are in the process of being remodeled into a more appealing 'art deco' feel - Across the park, work on a new coaster and a 'Whimsical, Kid-friendly' area has begun - And that should do it. I will be busy in the next couple of weeks, so expect the next update whenever I can. Thank you for keeping up with this!
  9. No. Sorry but, no... no, no, no, and no. Why would you even suggest that for a theme park? -.-
  10. Hello again, time for update on things! And boy do we have plenty of new things abound: First off, the Italy subsection of Old World has recently opened new MiniGrand Dark ride called Da Vinci's Flyers - In this classic-to-be dark ride, taking inspiration from Leonardo's works, guests will board a makeshift flying machine and, via suspended track (akin to ET and Peter Pan) fly above scenes of Venice, Rome and beyond - In other news, MARFleparks announced even further expansion for the Veja Mundo park. Plans include the following: * Through a deal with BBC, a Doctor Who-themed attraction of unknown type will be added to the British section of Old World, and is planned to be the 'draw' of that area. * A France subsection is in the works, with attractions TBA - * Finally, and the biggest announcement of them all, is a new land themed entirely toNordguard, which will feature a larger version of The Yukon Adventure from K9-Falliday Studios in California as well as several, smaller attractions - One last thing, a little bit of trivia: Along the edges of Isle of Legend are little, eroding rocks along the coastline, hinting at the eventual fate of this take on Atlantis -
  11. I have a sudden burst of ideas for my park Veja Mundo. Thinking about adding-in a Doctor Who ride into the European section. However, I am not sure as how to go about this. Should it be a dark ride? Thrilling Flat? Coaster? Just tossing this up in the air for anybody's input into this idea.
  12. This looks exciting! I've pondered the idea of a Portal ride (even a whole park), but never got too far with it. Needless to say, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how this goes
  13. Not bad, liking the remodeled ambiguous land (what is the ride that the queue leads into in the second pic?). I could see potential for expansion here. However, I personally feel that having the purple coaster as a centerpiece just seems a bit.... random. Nevertheless keep it up and looking forward to seeing the next update!
  14. This I like. Pretty amazing use of default objects. I'd like to the potential finished product when it's ready! ^^
  15. Minor-ish update. In case if you're wondering about the lack of Christmas-y stuff, let's just assume that this is before December. For a first time in a long while, we'll be starting in Echenima Park. Here we suddenly have a burst of park-wide renovations just before the new year. First off, to further tie-in to the opening land, Davisville, the entrance has gained an archway, in the style of a long-gone landmark of the land's namesake, as well as new gardens and planter to compliment the entry tunnel - On the other side of the entrance, a the Guest Relations center has been more conveniently relocated to the front of the land in a new building that's also reminiscent of another landmark. Also, the main gift shop's facade has been repainted to a more earthly tone - Going across the park, to Harbor Cove, the dark boat ride, Adventure in Harbor cove, has just went into routine refurbishment whilst some new construction is going on adjacent its show building - A look at Steeplechase, just because. And yes, even live-performing stage shows do have breakdowns - Over at the Studios, the story isn't much different; just slight renovations and changes before the new year. First off, the elevated 'terrace' in the Falliday Lot has been replaced with an outdoor performance stage - Across the park, in K9 Animation Village, the popular attraction Yukon Adventurehas recieved new, more authentic-looking 'sled' cars - And finally, new pyro boxes have been added to the northeast corner of the park, in preparation for the New Year's Event - Speaking of New Year's Eve, MARFleparks has released this announcement through the official blog as well as local news sources a few weeks ago. It details as follows - Join us in our first annual Echenima Countdown Celebration! Light up the sky in both Echenima Park and the K9-Falliday Studios as the resort counts down the last bits of 2011 with special shows, food and fireworks! Both parks will be celebrating in their own way. In Echenima Park, we will flash back into the 20th century with a musical medley through the decades of light, water, fire, and about 100 performers on the lagoon. In the K9-Falliday Studios, a special parade, light, and fire extravaganza will look back into the year featuring a medley of the park's many past events. This is one celebration you cannot miss! Best of all, the parks will be yours for the night! Both Echenima Park and the K9-Falliday Studios will close to the public by 6 PM. The celebration begins at 8 PM, with countdown shows beginning one-half hour prior to Midnight, with the park remaining open for you until 2 AM. Need not to worry if you plan on attending both parks - we will be counting down every night from December 26 to, of course, December 31st. Event tickets are separate from regular parks admission, and are $70 per person. Space is limited so buy them soon and join us in the Echenima Countdown Celebration!
  16. Looks great! Ye asked for some criticism and ye are gonna get it. I personally feel the the rapids is a tad compact, you need to either reduce the number of trams or space them out a little (by using the wait for ___ minutes option, as well as enabling the 'leave when another train arrives' option ) to avoid having them scrunch up at each station. As before, avoid having your facades appear like giant boxes, vary the front 'roofs' and avoid overusing the tan/beige wall set. Other than that, I don't really see much problems. Keep up the work! ^^
  17. Hello again! 'tis been a month, but it's time for an update on the resort! First off, starting with the Studios, here is an overview of Falliday's production facility which I had finally finished not too long ago. 'tis huge, no? Meanwhile, K9 Animation's facility is just as pretty. On the northern end of the park, this little Cul-de-sac in Tinseltown is an expected location for expansion. Plans are to include a 1920s musical revolving dinner theater as well as replacing the backstage paths with a "Kiddy land" of sorts, connecting Tinseltown with K9 Village on the northern end. Down the street, and near the heart of the park, plans have been announced for the replacement of Hollywood Taxi - an indoor 'filler' coaster that recently closed. Plans are to replace the buildings with a representation of the classic Angel's Flight of LA, complete with a little park ontop. In the original Echenima Park, the annexation of Echo Skyport into Futura has been complete, with the Walkway bridging the formerly-two areas into one. The result has effectively given Futura an 'open' feel. Here's a view from the former Skyport area - and from the main Futura area - and that should do it for now. Expect something special to send off the old year in the next update!
  18. It honestly feels great to finally get this one, major section completely finished - Who says building a backlot is hard? It only took me three years!
  19. Thanks for the support! By the way, I've finally released a scenario of the Studios. Go check it out! Oh, and do post up on that thread what you've done.
  20. Figured I add this in. 'tis a Work in Progress, but more-or-less complete. Due to high demand, I have released a K9-Falliday Studios Folfenario. The scenario is located under the 'Challenging Parks' tab. Keep in mind you will need select custom scenery and rides. Please make sure to have those on-hand. I will provide them if needbe. MARFstitution - Studios Style Seeing your excellence in running the original Echenima Park, Mr. Folf is lending you the Studios whilst he's away. Be sure to abide by MARF standards while completing any projects. Do not let your rating fall under 700 As before, please post what you've done to the park over here! (Don't worry, I won't cringe ) K9 Studios.zip
