Corkscrew Adventures [RCT2]

Not bad, though it looks a bit rough. Also, if you plan on using terrain around the coaster, I suggest terraforming as you build the ride. Keep it up! ^^ -

^ Awesome! Those are just what I needed. Thanks! ^.^ -
Want something with a bit of challenge? Want maps with an added story? You're in luck! I, Micheal Folf, present to you.. Folfenarios! - Downloadable (and playable) scenarios for RCT2 made by yours truly. So, basically whenever I make a scenario, I'll post it here for you all to enjoy and play. What's more? I encourage you all to post what you have done on here (preferably, as screenshots, though feel free to upload a save if you wish). So, without further ado.... let's showcase the first two scenarios: Echenima Park - MARFstitution "While Mr. Folf is away for a much needed retreat, you have been put on duty to maintain one of his most famous creations. Be sure that all maintenance and rehabs go well, and to abide by the high standards created by MARFleparks" I never release 'maps', or saved games of my parks. Rather, I release scenarios as a way to 'encourage' people to not just look at the parks, but to play around with them as well. In this case, we have the original Echenima Park. Now, this scenario is slightly dated (I prefer to call it a 'living snapshot' of the park). And there are a few notes I'd like to share before you download: Certain rides may have double queues. This was a failed attempt at making single rider lines. Feel free to remove them. Select rides (e.g. transport) can't be demolished. And yes, you can build over the buildings with a colored wooden fence (or anywhere else you see fit) Last but not least, download and enjoy! California Boardwalk "As part of a local ordinance to boost tourism, you have been assigned to build an amusement park along the coast." A few notes about this scenario: Contains little to no custom content Rather primitive - made back in '08 Land around the highway can be bought, the parking lot is one giant construction rights zone. And finally, download and enjoy! And remember, feel free to show off what you have done here. I guess you can call this an 'open-ended competition' in that there is no endpoint, limit, nor winner - just post what you did in these scenarios. You don't have to, but you have the opportunity to. Have fun, and there's sure to be more Folfenarios to come! Enjoy!

Diagonal, because it's both visually pleasing and gives off a unique feel. -
Note: read the following, thank you: Moving on...Let's see what's happening over in the Resort of Echenima! First off, MARF, the parent company of MARFleparks, turned 25 on November 8th.In honor of this, the resort is will be commencing a year-long celebration that silently starts today and will officially 'kick-off' after the Holiday season. What will this entail? New attractions and events for both parks. As K9 Animation is essentially MARF's origin, much of the anniversary celebration will be held in the Studios. Whereas for Echenima Park, there will be a different celebrational theme going on that will be announced in the new year. And it's not just the parks, even a newly-expanded core shopping center will reveal itself later on. After all, even the resort as a whole recently turned One. But for now, everything is low-key and subtle, take this specially-made mural on the K9 animation center made as an anniversary gift: As for the rest of the park, we are currently setting up for the holidays: (those who can guess the inspiration for the tram's paint scheme gets a non-existent prize) The artificial 90-foot Hollywood Hill, with artificial snow. Something you'll never see on the actual Hollywood Hills: and yes, we're still in the process of applying faux-snow. Over in Echenima Park, there's been a series of refurbs, removals, and construction... To begin, Davisville Cinema has silently closed and roped-off to begin rapid remodeling. Plans are to replace the preview center that it currently is with an 'immersive, integrated animatronic film' that will relate to the oncoming celebration: Speaking of theaters being taken apart, a new 4D film will be replacing the current one in Futura Dome. As such, bits of the exterior have been taken down. Here are some progress pics: Early September Morning November 5th, signs removed, steel structures being taken apart. November 12th, plain dome left. Members of the old atari forum may get the reference on the Futura Center's signs. Another 'attraction' that has ended in this park is Echenima Park's Nighttime spectacular - Pyroquatic Symphony. Plans are to replace the show by the new year with Starlight Carnival - a nighttime water and pyrotechnic show that will utilize 'advanced' fountain barges - currently being tested in Veja Mundo, 'cleaner' pyrotechnics, and approximately 5 million color-changing LEDs on the buildings surrounding the lake. One major change for this new show is a 'larger', more organic viewing area - the open grassy space (which shall be converted to artificial turf to prevent damage) in Central Cark will be accessible to guests shortly before showtime. Already changes are being made to accommodate this: July 16: November 10th, selected trees have been removed, to be replaced with planters for easy viewing: Now, enough of the closures, we have a new attraction being built in the Pacific Northwest. Remember that Haunted House which was later bur- properly disposed of? Well, our MARFinvisionists are placing in a permanent attraction there. Like Watchtale, this one, too, will be an import from the Liverpool Resort: and that should do it for now. Until next time, Hasta... well, you know Adios! ^^

Experimenting for the Holidays: Still in progress. -
Time for an update, wouldn't you agree? First off, a bit of a transition from Point Luna, with railroad and boat launch: Yes, the boat track will become invisible... Not themed to anything specific, this transition area is left open to interpretation. Beyond that is this short trestle, followed by what would be a portion of the European section - France. Not much, I know. However, running dry on concepts, MARFleparks is once again asking you fellow readers for help. What are some good ride ideas for a European (even be specific countries) area? We'd love to hear what you all can come up with! and here's the site of the European area, for reference: Until next time, see you all later!

Third experimentation with night scenes: Yay for dodge and burn in a park that has no lights. >.> -
^ makes me wonder why you focused on incomplete steel structures and not the complete attraction next door or even the more holiday celebration. Anyway... it surprises me that nobody, even those who downloaded the scenario a couple pages back, ever asked about what the colorful little float in the water storage area of Echenima Park was: The float was part of a planned Fiesta Celebration posting that was to happen in mid-summer. The idea was that both parks would partake in a giant fiesta from two distinct regions (Latin for K9-Falliday Studios, Philippines for Echenima Park). Both parks would have had stands and various designs (photoshopped in, of course) to showcase said cultures. The studios would feature a Carnaval Parade, and Echenima would feature a MasKara interactive water show. The name (and inspiration) came from the MassKara Festival in Bacolod, Philippines - a festival featuring dancers in bright, colorful costumes and masks to boost morale during what was once a time of crisis. I actually saw this in person some years ago (lived in the city for a while) so I had to bring this into the parks. Needless to say, summer came and went, and nothing happened. So this little float has been left stationary (well, considering that it's just a collection of walls and paths... ) 'rusting' away, been put on auction, and had been sold to an ambiguous entertainment company. So yeah, thought I'd point that out. Just something to tide you over before the next update. And I can guarantee you all, there's definitely gonna be some celebration going on... two, I should say... ...stay tuned...

Nope, far from it. Nope... wait, who even places those in a park? o.O Yep. Well, actually a bit more than that - they also contain speakers (the bottom-most black blocks). And as the earliest to answer correctly, you get full say over the next ride in a randomly chosen MARFlepark! I'll go PM you the randomly chosen park's name shortly @PSIrockin yep... but a tad bit late... @KLM thanks! and yeah, I guess you can call this a 'recreation'... a rather large one, lol.

[RCT 2]Kimeloff Amusements

^did you bother to read the text (particularly the isolated sentence in bold) or did you just look at the screenshots to make that judgement?[ -
Nothing much, just some random pics and a preview... The track of Tuning the Bay: and its location in the park (surrounding area will eventually be filled in): Guess what these little things are (winner gets free say on the next ride to be built in a randomly-chosen MARFlepark): Davisville pic #1: Davisville Pic #2: How about a waterfall? Or maybe even Central Park in Davisville? Finally a bit of a preview for the next two sections:

[RCT 2]Kimeloff Amusements
Califolf replied to Califolf's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Due to outright criticism and confusion, I figured it's best to repost the backstory to this park: I needed an outlet to build coasters in, I decided to create a new set of parks, separate from MARF and Echenima. Thus the idea of Kimeloff was born. But, I felt like I had to tie it in to Echenima in some way, so I created a new character - Sinoda Kimeloff to be the manager and operator of this Amusement chain. First post exempt, all updates and replies will be written 'in character' from Mr. Kimeloff himself. When saying something out of character, I will use italics. Got that? Good. Now, here's the (slightly updated) story of the Formation of Kimeloff Amusements: Sinoda Kimeloff - MARF profile. Sinoda Kimeloff was a MARFinvisionist (think imagineer) famous for being slanted towards the thrill side of attractions. Hence, Nova Voyager, Legend of Eureka, and PeRT were all in some way, shape, or form designed/proposed by him. In mid February of 2010, during the annual proposal week - where select MARFinvisionist projects are greenlit to go into the parks - Kimeloff decided to try something different: build an all-out floorless over Britannia. However, Mike didn't approve, and the two had since been at odds for a month until Kimeloff finally had it and quit. As a result, MARF released the following public statement on March 13, 2010: Kimeloff scoffed at the release. Using what money he had left (about $9 million - MARFinvisionists are paid well), he decided to go compete against Echenima by going to a market Mr. Folf would never approach - the traditional amusement chain. While MARF would rely on entertainment and special effects, Kimeloff would rely on stock amusement attractions and thrills. It looked like a perfect match for Sinoda. Of course, he knew he had to start small if he ever wanted to become the next Cedar Fair or Six Flags, so he set out some land by Fresno, California (he simply threw a dart at a map, and it happened to land there [in reality though, this spot was selected because of the mere fact that I lived there for a decade, so I have some contempt for that place]) on what would be the first Kimeloff amusement park (now called Kimeloff Valley). Later on, Kimeloff bought up land by Hunter's Point, San Francisco (which was formerly owned by MARF who initially planned building a resort there before going forward with Orlando) to develop the second Kimeloff park. Just a reminder: this chain is not meant to be realistic, nor is it meant to be good. It is intentionally horrid for laughs, read (repeat: read, not just look at) these updates with a sense of humor. And on that note, let's leave it off to Kimeloff himself, on location, at Kimeloff Bay in San Francisco, California: Sindoa Kimeloff Developer Greetings from lovely San Francisco! The weather here is quite a change from the dry and hot Central Valley. Come to think of it, I like it here. Now... we originally planned to build just another general amusement park on this land. However, due to MARF's abandonment of the area, the city had desperate deemed the area as a 'Urban Renewal' zone, and rejected our initial plans until we landed on a compromise - a resort. So, in essence, Kimeloff bay will be our first "themed" park. Now then, let's take a look with what we have so far. Pleas keep in mind that all pictures show works in progress, and that it might have been perfected by now. First off, the entry walkway - filled with shops and restaurants (ugh... I'm being disgusted by the MARFness of this): Beyond that, one would see this hub, where one can choose to enter one of three areas: To the left is the Bayside Boardwalk, themed to Amusement Parks of the 1920s: Next to it is this swinging coaster I'll give you a guess as to what the area themed to: And that should do it. I shall see you next time. Until then, - ... um... see you in the Valley? Kimeloff out! ------ Seriously, this Kimeloff character is... eh... I'll save it for the next update. -
