vekoma_fan Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 EDIT: Almost forgot the most important one! So.. No announcement 2 years ahead now..? But.. We want to know whats happening in 2016!
gerstlaueringvar Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 ^ I think Swedish coaster war is actually started. Now wait for Gröna Lund to make their next step.
Lagom Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I've collected a few interesting questions from the Q&A, enjoy! ... Thanks! I appreciate it!
Guy T. Koepp Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I did not understand a word of what he was saying in that video. But, with that said, what I got from it was how much he loves Helix and he is so proud of the way it turned out. He was just glowing with pride. And he should be. I think Liseberg has another world class coaster on their hands here.

I think Liseberg has another world class coaster on their hands here. You could always turn on the subtitles in English if you want to make sense of it all I could do that. But then I won't be able to imagine what he's really saying is how he wants to make mad passionate love to his new ride. And I like it better that way.
Frippeman Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 On my way home from work, I saw that test run was in progress. Had to stop and look. Three trains in a row was running and I think maybe they were installing train nr 3, late at night. Looked really nice. 4 days to go. But the problem with the lights on the wagon three on one of the trains is not resolved. Strangely.
gerstlaueringvar Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Any idea why Mack test the train without parts of them? Bluefire testes without basically anything and Helix tests without the lead car.
BrunoH Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Ahhh. Glorius morning. While driving to work today, I watched helix standing there on the mountain. Standing there waiting... for me... Just 9 hours to go until first ride! This work day will be so slow!
Frippeman Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Any idea why Mack test the train without parts of them? Bluefire testes without basically anything and Helix tests without the lead car. They have done the tests without the cover of the lead car. Probably so they can do some simple adjustment to the wheels.
Ap0ptosis Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Lisa put up a new blog post with some pictures snapped by Justin Garvanovic for us to enjoy. I am too lazy to put them all here so just follow the link: http://projekthelix.se/fina-bilder-fran-helix/
robbalvey Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Hanno is at Liseberg right now riding Helix - we will be live tweeting from the media event!
Loefet Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 After a couple of laps it have gotten better. Clear difference between the trains. Front is definitely better than back in my opinion. Now for some more rides
gerstlaueringvar Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Getting updates from Helix feels much more mysterious than Banshee! So jealous of you guys in Sweden!
Solique Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Cannot wait to ride it myself but till then I'll just enjoy the pics and vids.
oriolat Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 After a couple of laps it have gotten better. Clear difference between the trains. Front is definitely better than back in my opinion. Now for some more rides Does it match the hype? I really want it to ride as well as it looks! Either way, I am determined to give it a spin this summer when I head to Sweden!
Frippeman Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 After a couple of laps it have gotten better. Clear difference between the trains. Front is definitely better than back in my opinion. Now for some more rides What do you mean by clear different between the trains? Other speed or was it just your seat in the train, you ment? Front or back. Seemed as if it did not quite meet your expectations, did it?
Ap0ptosis Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 (Not sure if this is Lisa?) Anyway here is the translation: "One word to describe the ride in helix: AWESOME!!!!!!" "Been on it 15 times...it is a coaster of world class...it has everything one can wish for..." "Helix is so good!!!!!"
Slem Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Göteborgsposten posted a video and article about the Helix pressday that you can watch/read (i.e. if you know swedish) right here: www.gp.se/nyheter/goteborg/1.2350729-100-kilometer-i-timmen-upp-och-ned Some enthusiasts point out in the article that Helix could have just a little bit more airtime but is, in overall, a very good ride.
