The park really does look nice! They do a great job with all of the Christmas decorations. Some day I will visit this park, some day.

Ooooo so pretty there.

And I took a look at the commercial for Winterwald as well.

And it was as beautiful, as the snow video!

Thanks for sharing this, Marcus!

I really hope Mechanica rides better than the one at Skyline park, that ride wasn't exciting at all!

But it's definitely gonna be a great looking ride!

I think that building must be near the park as I am sure I remember seeing pictures of the Helix track there. This definitely isn't the actual location of the ride.

Where in the park is this ride going? Are they building it, and then moving it into place? This isn't it's permanent location? Is it?

The photos are from the manufacturing facility, they have assembled it to check for quality issues.

The attraction is still at the manufacturing facility. The arm and motor is undergoing testing and the seats is at final assembling before attaching to the arm.

Has anybody heard anything else about the improvements that were supposed to be made to Helix this winter?

Posted

I'm also interested to know if the proposed funicular up to Helix/Atmosfear is going to happen this year.

Liseberg and Mack Rides have made some modifications on the trains and got the vibration levels lower then Blue Fire

Great! Are they still adding the waterfall after the pretzel loop too?

Weird that it has had vibrations, I rode Helix 5 times in the beginning of June, it was silky smooth! My guess is that it has something to do with the weather? TPR visited when it was rather cold. (Also Helix was down, not allowing it to warm up).

I never thought the vibration was that bad when I rode Helix last June. Might of had something to do with where I was sitting in the train too. Glad to see they worked on it and hopefully taken care of it this Winter.

No, I rode it a bunch of time during my two days, and I always had some vibrations, sometimes more intense than others, though. Had the same problem with Alpina Blitz, but Blue Fire is butter smooth.

Thats good then because that ride had some shocking vibrations last year, which for a new ride was extremely disappointing. Blue Fire had no vibrations at all from what I remember so if they have managed to match that then thats fantastic news for the ride, I just hope it ends up working as a long time fix and not a short term fix.

I work at Helix, and my supervisor old me we needed to test it because of the vibrations. I tested each train, three times, once in the front, middle and back. the middle and back part on train 2 and 3 shaked a bit, it had vibrations, not bad ones, but feelable ones. Reported to my boss and latest ive heard is that its an easy fix and should be implemented this summer

They have also tested the modifications of Helix last week and there is some more tweaking to get it perfect.
