gotdane
Yay...and I think I just figured out why the tops of the supports are slanted like they are. It's for the chain. Duh.
Sticky Nicky
^I doubt it. On past B&M Hypers, the chain track has gone through the supports: Â Â Â Â rcdb.com
pyrocoasterkid
If you look at the middle support, DB also has one that goes through the support. DB has the angled support, and the chain slot through the support design. I'm sure there is a better reason for the angled supports... Â
SFOGdude25
Not too sure why. It might have something to do with clearance around buildings. On the other hand, Woo Hoo! Diamondback has topped off!
Hell_Ashes
It's been topped off? *Cues the choir* Â I haven't been paying attention to this ride much, mostly due that I live no where near it, but it still looks fun to ride. <__<
gotdane
I haven't seen many wide shots of the lift hill, but in the one posted above I can see the supports avoiding the buildings so that makes sense. LiVeToThRiLl90
This coaster looks awesome. It just what King's Island needs.
Jumboshrmp
I agree with what one of the posters said on the previous page. Diamondback's unusual lift supports are most likely the way they are so they can clear nearby buildings. Â Another example of this is Manta's second highest lift support. It is bent in a very awkward position to avoid being placed in the middle of a gift shop: I took this picture on October 25th:
jamesdillaman
I haven't seen many wide shots of the lift hill, but in the one posted above I can see the supports avoiding the buildings so that makes sense. *Waits patiently for the usual post-weekend photos*  Now that the park's closed for the season, you'll see less updates than usual. Just warning you...  When more trackwork gets done, though, JZ and I were going to fly over the park and get some aerial photos of the layout. But I'm waiting until most of the trackwork is done so we actually have something interesting to take photos of...  -James Dillaman

thrillgeek
I'm really liking the colors and the bent supports This beast will be huge. Is it just me or is the lift unusually steep for a hyper coaster?
