^ Where is The Dungeon walk-thru located, in the park? And is the Firehouse still the same indoor attraction it was, before?

I've been there twice and pretty much know most of the layout over that mountain! Including (ugh) Loopen.

Even with the new changes and additions since my last visit there (2014).

Back then - this caught my eye at Tusenfryd.

Then, I laughed out loud, when I saw you could charge your 25 kr on credit, LOL.

^The Dungeon will be located up by Sky Coaster in a building they used a few years back for a haunted house during Halloween.

The Fire Station used to be Nightmare and it will now have the Kids Bumper car inside.

^ Really enjoyed Nightmare, as it was such a unique indoor ride. And there's not many of these in the world, from what I've seen.

I knew about the ride setup itself, for several months, but I never thought I would ever ride one. Which made it extra cool, at Tusenfryd!

This looks great! I’m guessing the new Inverted coaster was pushed back to next year? My last visit was fantastic and the retracking of Thundercoaster have done wonders to that ride so I’m very excited to go back in the future!

^^ It's an oddly placed park compared to others like it (literally on a mountain side), but that's what makes it unique, to visit. And a workout, lol!

Been there three times thru the years (thank you TPR tours) and always neat to see what's new, what's old, and what should be demolished, ha ha!

Worth a re-visit, some day, I'd say.

Some construction update on the new coaster

This year TusenFryd introduced Coke Freestyle at the park.

And also Express Pass, that can be bought for 399 NOK (42$), that can be used at Speed Monster, Loopen, Thunder Coaster, SpinSpider, Western Expressen, Super Splash, SpaceShot and Ragnarok.

The park feels fresh with the new changes and theming. There are still some finishing touches that are beeing done. I just love the look of the Fire Station.

Construction on the new inverted coaster is moving forward. Station has started to go vertical

The park has now started to use the new Park music in the two themed areas Route 66 and Expedition Lost Kingdoms.

Had the pleasure of visiting Tusenfryd for the first time a few weeks back and while it lived up to its reputation I still had a great day.

Tusenfryd sent out an survey today with concept arts of the new themed area "Dragonville" and the new coaster "Storm the Dragon Legend"

They have already teased the theme with the new Coke Freestyle booth that arrived a few weekend back. It has the same Dragon logo.

Tusenfryd is really upping their theme park content, with the new spinning coaster, and this soon-to-be inverted one.

It "almost" makes me want to revisit the place, and hike up and down and up and down that (truly) "Mountain Park".

Oh, did I forget to mention ..... up and down and up and down and ....

First "suspended, triple-launch" track in Europe
The new attraction is based on a principle called "suspended, triple launch". This means that the unit the passenger sits in is suspended under the rail passage itself (suspended). Triple launch means that you accelerate three times during the trip. First from the start before the wagon set stops and then accelerates backwards. At one point it stops again before accelerating for the third time, then forward.

Installs the track from 1 September
- We started the groundwork for the new roller coaster already in March 2020. Then came the pandemic, and the process was put on hold. But last November we were able to continue the foundation work. Now the support and rail track have just arrived from the supplier, and on 1 September work will begin to erect the supporting structure before the rail track is installed. We are really looking forward to seeing it take shape, but most of all to the public getting to experience it from next season, says managing director Bjørn Håvard Solli in Tusenfryd.

Extensive testing and certification process
Tusenfryd plans to have the new super-attraction ready when the park opens in April 2023. Unless something unforeseen happens, the track should be fully assembled already in October, and other technical work will then start in November. Depending on the weather conditions, this will continue throughout the winter. In March, extensive tests will be run, before the attraction is certified in April, well before the park opens. The area connected to the roller coaster will also be renewed, and will have an overall theme and visual expression.

The 8th roller coaster
With the spectacular innovation in place in 2023, Tusenfryd has a total of eight rail tracks. They range from Den Aller Minste, Western-Expressen and this year's novelty HuriHuri for children, to Loopen, SuperSplash, ThunderCoaster, SpeedMonster and next year's novelty - courses that already excite and will excite even experienced "coaster" enthusiasts.

- Compared to other parks in Northern Europe, we now have a respectable selection of roller coasters. With the new attraction, we are joining the absolute top tier on the continent, and we are really looking forward to the public's reactions to the new course being launched in our 35th season, says Solli.
