I absolutely LOVE log flumes. Splash Mountain and Dudley will always be my favorite. Kings Dominion's Euroburg's and Knobel's log flumes are pretty cool IMO. The worst one I've been on was Dutch Wonderland's.

Pretty much Every single water ride on the Spain trip was great. their flumes usually have a multiple drops, they allow you to just pack the boat with people, and are huge in length. They were more fun then the coasters I rode in Spain.

^JZ I forgot about Wild Wild West at MovieWorld in Australia. What a great surprise that flume turned out to be. I would definitely put it up there with Splash Mountain. The first backwards drop was incredible and the final drop was great too. Movie World was such a great park. I was so surprised how well done it was, especially considering how crappy Dreamworld turned out to be.

Yeah, I loved Movie World! It's a bummer that Superman was down while I went, but Scooby Doo was running all day with short lines. I must have had 15 rides on it! Without a doubt one of my most favorite rides of all time! Dreamworld was still good because it was new, and it has....Giant Drop. I loved both parks, but would choose Movie World in a heartbeat!

The worst I have been on was at Six Flags St Louis. When I tried to ride it last summer it got stuck with about three log flumes working. Two people had to make complaints cause the got stuck on the lift hill. I hope it is better this year.

Favorite would have to be Timber Mountain Log Ride at Knott's. I always liked the idea that it was themed to an actual log flume, makes it seem old fashioned. I don't really think that there are "bad" log flumes though, just "unthemed" ones.

I agree with you. An earlier person said it is going downhill and in major need of repair. I don't know since I haven't been there in a long time. But besides SFMM's Log Jammer, I love the ride at KBF for it's scenery and theme.

The Best Log Flumes:

Splash Mountain Disneyland

Dudley Do-Right Ripsaw Falls -- IOA

Timber Mountain Log Ride -- Knotts

The Worst?

Undoubtedly---Positively, the "Log Flume" at Lagoon. You haven't seen a bad log flume until you see this one!

Best:

Disneyland's Splash Mountain.

Worst:

The one at Kings Dominion.

Finally someone who agrees about the KD flume...That one is just short pointless and only has one drop. The only way you get wet is the people with the cannons.

The two flumes I liked the most were the Camp Snoopy flume and the Log Flume at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion. The Pavilion flume was a surprise to me, especially the underground drop (not a huge one, but it was still fun).

I don't really have a worst flume since I have yet to ride one I didn't like at least a little bit.

Heck, last year I was trying not to get wet on that thing because the water was pretty gross.

Best:

Splash Mountain- Disneyland

Log Jammer- Six Flags Magic Mountain

Worst:

Well, I haven't really been on many bad log flumes, so the worst still isn't that bad. Anyway, I'd have to go with Kings Mills Log Flume, now Wild Thornberrys River Adventure.

Best: the two Creeks at Phantasialand (making a tidal wave with 4 persons crammed in one boat is always fun)!

Worst: none so far! So I have to choose Flash Back at Walibi Belgium without working effects, with dirty water and dirty theming...

But the double down hill provides some "airtime", so it's also a good one! I just hope they cleaned it for this season, so that becomes a really good one again!

I wouldn't say I hate any, but here are my faves in no particular order...

- Log Jammer @ SFMM

- Splash Mountain @ DL

- Pyromaniax (Timber Mountain during Fright Fest) @ Knotts

Not a fan of Magic Kingdom's Splash...I think its the boats/logs. Jet Stream's boats always seem to have so much water in them so your feet are soaked before the ride even gets going.

There's so many that I really like...

As everyone else has stated, Splash Mountain at MK and Dudley Do Right at IOA are awesome and just in a league of their own.

I really liked the one at Dorney Park. We must have went on it 3 or 4 times last year. No line, fast flowing water, decent drop, and did a great job of cooling us off on a hot day. Hershey's was also a lot of fun, and I'd put it up there.

One that I haven't seen mentioned yet though is the Wilderness Adventure Ride at Ontario Place. A fairly long ride, good speed for the water, some pretty good theming, and a good sized drop that doesn't get you too wet.

I've yet to go on one I haven't liked yet though.

Great to see the one at Ontario Place mentioned. Yep, that is a long one, and pretty good. Although it's WAY too expensive of a log ride credit if you aren't there for the CNE.

I like any of the old Arrow flumes, even Astroworld's was pretty good. SFGAdv has a really nice one.

Someone earlier asked about the uphill sections on Arrow flumes. Kennywood still has their's, and I've yet to ride because of massive crowds whenever I'm there. There used to be one at Carowinds, and I remember being really surprised by the first one I experienced at BG Tampa, which is now gone too.

I stupidly didn't ride the massive one at Blackpool, but it was too darn cold.

And don't forget the first log ride with a drop... Lake Winnepesauka's Old Mill.

One log ride related question. I have a memory that no one can back up of Cedar Point having their log ride that used to be up near the park entrance named the Nestea Plunge at one point in the late 70s, early 80s. Of course, for you youngsters, the Nestea Plunge was used in their commercials one year, and was standing at the edge of a pool with a glass of tea in your hand, and then falling into the pool backwards. So, CP ran the flume with the logs backwards.

Can anyone verify this?

The log flume at Camp Snoopy/Nickelodeon Universe is one of the best I've been on as it is well themed and a lot of fun. Six Flags St. Louis also has a well themed and fun log flume.

The worst log flumes I've been on are Yankee Clipper and Loggers Run at Six Flags Great America. These rides have practically no theme, aren't very fun, and don't get riders that wet. Hopefully they will be replaced soon with one of those spinning raft slides and some more flats.

I've got several favorite log flumes to list.

First, there is the Shenandoah Log Flume at Kings Dominion.

At Busch Gardens Europe, there's the Le Scoot (it's the first log flume I ever rode)

At Walt Disney World, I love riding Splash Mountain (it was the first log flume I ever rode to prove that a rolling hill on a log flume was possible - it's the "Laughing Place" part of the ride).

And finally, the Zoom Phloom at Morey Piers is a fun flume ride.

I love to ride any log flume in any park. I can't think of any worst log flume I've ever been on.
