Condor
Back to Gold Striker, I hope this coaster gets taken care of unlike it's cousin up north...which has become quite the rattle-bucket over the years. I remember riding Roar from 1999-2004 and it rode pretty decent during those times. This past weekend it had it's jackhammer moments but was a bit better than 2011 when I rode. I have faith though and they'll take care of GS. We probably don't have to worry about Gold Striker getting rough over time like Roar and the other early GCIs. I can't think of any of their other coasters equipped with Millennium Flyers since day 1 that have developed that level of roughness so far. DBru
Plus, GCI has been continuously improving the quality of their coasters since the debut of Roar.
Double0Kevin
^True, but lets be honest, SFDK let Roar fall apart.

Roar west is equipped with Millennium Flyer trains. I think Roar west was the first GCI to use those comfy trains.
JJnCFL
Just noticed on CGA's website they edited the GS Logo a bit with the Gold miner guy holding a lantern instead of a pistol now... http://www.cagreatamerica.com/goldstriker NEW: OLD:
kidcoaster 2
^ The change probably came about because of everything going this last week.
Wes
Wow that logo is the best. Hopefully they have that guy as a rubberhead.
Angry_Gumball
I had a feeling that pistol wouldn't have lasted too long. I'm also pretty sure the recent events had motivation on changing it up.
Domm
I was just at SFMM riding terminator and had some of the best times on a wooden coaster. That thing flies and is so smooth around turns, almost no jerkiness. Then I rode Roar at SFDK last weekend and had a completely opposite experience. I wanted to get off that thing pretty much right when it started. Totally uncomfortable, jacking my whole body around making my head hurt. That got me worried. I have a good feeling that GS is gonna be more like the SFMM GCI which was great- also with the way that CGA is taking care of that piece of crap Grizzly we should be all good with GS staying smooth for a while. Think I might head out to the park for some live Gold Porn & the pink butthole slide tonight. Was delirium open for you guys when you went? Angry_Gumball
Delirium is one of the rides to be running. Have fun tonight, let us know how the yellow super slide of death is running!
Blue Fire Guy
^^ You'll know whether the yellow slide is running well or not depending on whether your tailbone hurts or not afterwards due to the insane airtime. Last time we did it, it wasn't that greasy and it felt like we hit a trim on the fourth and final dip and there wasn't any airtime though. Hopefully they've re-greased it back to it's original glory! Twitch
So I keep forgetting, which group of seats on Delirium is the best? I remember getting some really good seats the last time I rode it.
Tmcdllr
When I first saw the GS logo with the gun I thought it was really cool, but also though the gun might seem inappropriate and in the back of my mind felt like it might change but I dismissed it because I'm so excited for the coaster. Now look, the gun is gone but it is replaced with a lantern which is also what a miner would have used so it completely works. I still like the logo but I think it was fine with the gun and imo as horrible as that tragedy is the logo should not be affected by it.... but whudda you gonna do. Angry_Gumball
So I keep forgetting, which group of seats on Delirium is the best? I remember getting some really good seats the last time I rode it. Personally, we like to grab the seats facing out toward Boomerang Bay. About the logo, he now looks more like a miner as much as I liked the pistol-wielding Stinky Pete. I was actually surprised that the initial logo had a gun especially with how people are these days about such content.
Tmcdllr
Yeah I sort if felt the same way. If they would have originally gave him a lantern like now it would still be perfect.

Personally, we like to grab the seats facing out toward Boomerang Bay. The seats right next to the exit are my favorite as the first half of the ride, you're low to the ground and when Delirium starts the full swings, you're facing upwards grabbing all that airtime. jray21
Interesting about the logo being changed, but understandable. As long as the ride is good though, I don't care what the logo is!

If Apocalypse (SFMM) never gets re-tracked, it will have the same roughness as Roar West in 10 years. Heck, you even you can feel that Apocalypse is starting to become rough even after 3 years. Kenta.Sasakado
Is it possible we will ever have a dark ride in that old building by the star tower?
XYZ
Is it possible we will ever have a dark ride in that old building by the star tower? That building is the former IMAX Pictorium, though I doubt it will ever re-open as a ride ever again. I heard it was used for storage right now. Plus, a dark ride would be hard to fit in there. Sunfire
I wonder how construction has been faring in the past week or so. We've been getting a lot of rain here, so I hope it shouldn't cause too many delays.
