Nrthwnd Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 ^ Only in New York... Â Mike, I'm curious; of the stage shows you've seen (so far) this year, which one (play or musical) have you enjoyed the most? It doesn't matter if it's old or a new one. I'm just curious, lol. Â And all I can add is... "GO CREDITWHORE GO!" Â Â Seasonally-Adjusted Greetings, buddy.
Big Mike Posted December 1, 2008 Author Posted December 1, 2008 Bill, my favorite musicals were Wicked and Jersey Boys, and my favorite play was an off Broadway show called Fault Lines. Â Â Craig, I stared at that avatar and still cannot see you in it lol. Â Â Peace, Big Mike
esvadj Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Wow, Mike, great shots from the big Ferris wheel (and of Radio City Music Hall, too)! Guess now everyone knows where the sign in esvadj's avatar is located. Â I saw it, and that was the first thing I thought. Great trip report Big Mike and great pictures taken from the ferris wheel. Â I really wanted to meet you guys there; but, when I saw the date I knew I had better be somewhere else.... That was the day my daughter was born...
Big Mike Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 Awwwwwwww! Â Cute! Â Â Congrats!!! Â Â You made the right choice lol. Â Â Peace, Big Mike
cfc Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Got a quick bite to eat at Chuck's cat's restaurant "Angus McNasty's". Â Did you have a can of Fancy Feast Turkey and Gravy Dinner? That's his favorite. Â Did you check out the haunted house ride at Trimper's? I think that's the best thing there.
Big Mike Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 I did, and I agree. I was going to show that coming up on its own. I really liked that a lot! Â That cat meal was indeed what I had lol. Â Â Peace, Big Mike
Coaster Palooza Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Hey Mike, I'm getting caught up. I really like the Shepard Smith photos. We'll have to go to Fox News the next time I come out. Â I'm sorry about the court injunction that is putting the ducky game on hold, but we had to do what we had to do!!!
Big Mike Posted December 3, 2008 Author Posted December 3, 2008 Hi Friends!!!!! Â The Big Mike Road Show 2008 continued through Ocean City Maryland to Jolly Roger on the Pier! Â I don't think I mentioned this yet, but it was my first trip ever to Ocean City and I enjoyed it completely. Â Â I have also added last week's trip to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for your viewing enjoyment so you can see how Big Mike spends his coaster off-season. Â Â Thanks for your continued support everybody!!! Â Â Peace, Big Mike It's time for the parade!!!! Even though it is the 82nd annual, this is Renee's first time seeing it in person and she is excited! I topped her though, it is Big Mike's first time seeing Renee in person, and I am ultra excited! Parade photos next report!!! Hope you enjoyed! Peace, Big Mike Located inside Macy's is the actual ball that drops on New Years Eve in Times Square! Back down the red carpet once again. Looks like they are getting ready to go on the air, better make one last trip to the bathroom so we don't miss anything! "Little Mermaid" "South Pacific" "White Christmas" "In the Heights" Checking out all the performances during the practice run. ... like Big Mike and Renee!!!! These were the super special VIP seats saved only for the EXTREMELY important people... ... or were a guest of someone who had a couple ... well that is unless you had a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade VIP Pass... The square where everyone performed, the lights, the tv crews, and the announcers were barricaded off and no one was allowed access... Big Mike was thrilled and delighted to be sharing this fun time with TPR Super Hottie Renee (Nay). Renee was my inspiration to run all those 1/4K races at the rope drops at the parks. Very early the next morning, 5:18am to be exact, the city was still busy and preparing for the big parade. VIP passes in hand. They were busy at work taking all the street lamps down for the parade. Now we switch back to last week, where I had to head into NYC to pick up the VIP parade passes. Continuing the grand tradition, Jason checks off Maryland on The Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt! Looking at this picture now from sub freezing Big Mike World Headquarters, what a great year it was out there on the road! The fun and memories cannot be replaced. Thanks Jason for coming out to say hello, visiting 3 parks with me, and filling me in on everything Ocean City! A guy hanging! The pictures don't do this justice, I finally found a ride through haunted house to take the top spot from Knoebels in my opinion. What is that??? Big Mike is just a little hesitant going in. Your vehicle looks like a coffin. Jason said not to miss the Haunted House! Really old fashioned crane games. Old fashioned Skee Ball machines. Jason was a great tour guide of Ocean City, and he actually has a book published on that very topic and decided to show me some sights. Here is one of them. Relaxing on the ferris wheel to get some other shots of the park. The Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt still gets a lot of attention. Credit #720 for Big Mike! The loop. The lift. Big Mike is ready to go looping. First you must pass the height limit on the Ducky stick! There is nothing better than a little Find the Ducky practice sessions in between rounds of the contest ... a pool of green, slimy, contaminated water! My kind of ride, lets go! These riders have just climbed the lift hill and are heading for... Aerial shot! Overview. The only coaster at Jolly Roger at the Pier is Looping Star! With us once again one last time is Jason (Printersdevil78). The park map. The prices. We are still coming to you from Ocean City Maryland! Jolly Roger at the Pier, the 83rd stop on The Big Mike Road Show 2008!
CoasterJunkie Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Ok, I have to ask... Â How did you score such great seats!
esvadj Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 ^I agree, how do you get such great seats???? Â I really would love to see the parade in person someday, the pics and the trip report was great. Â I am also glad you enjoyed Ocean City, MD (since I can claim it as a home park)
BeemerBoy Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 ^ & ^^ Mike and Rick Astley go waaaay back. I think that's where the tickets came from. I think.
lil jimmy norton Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 You are a celebrity. Awesome photos man. The beaches are just phenomenal as well at Ocean City.
hansrubens Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 I love those small parks like Ocean City. I really like the crappy haunted houses they all have that special atmosphere. Â The 1001 Nacht must be an imported dutch fun fair ride. Â Â ----Hans
nay Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Haha, nice photos. It was really cool (and cold!) seeing the parade in person. Thanks!
printersdevil78 Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Wow, I had forgotten about a lot of the stuff we did that day, including Marty's Playland! It sucks that I had to leave for my friend's wedding before I could hit the other Jolly Roger with you. But hey, at least the bridesmaids were cute!
Big Mike Posted December 6, 2008 Author Posted December 6, 2008 Hey Friends!!!  I was going to post an update but just read about the blackout going to happen in an hour on TPR, so I figured I would still be able to do a quick update on my Fantasy Football Teams since the playoffs start in some of the leagues this weekend.  Here are the standings in all the leagues, my team is the POWER DOMINATORS:  CBS SPORTSLINE: (Big Money League)  Team W L T Brad 11 2 0 Mike K 11 2 0 Insomniac 9 4 0 POWER DOMINATORS 9 4 0 Scott 8 5 0 Taylor 6 7 0 Artie's Army 6 7 0 FITZ HAMMER 5 8 0 Anks & Pease 4 9 0 Carol 4 9 0 Bob 3 10 0 Dave 2 11 0    ESPN:  DIVISION 1 1 New Jersey Pow... 9-4 W2 2 New York Thugs 6-7 W1 3 Priceless Picks 5-8 L4 4 Syracuse Aces 4-9 L2 5 stephenville... 4-9 L3 DIVISION 2 1 Kingston Iri... 11-2 W6 2 berks county... 10-2-1 W3 3 Red dragon T... 6-6-1 W2 4 G-Men Bk 5-8 L3 5 bayville phi... 4-9 L1  Playoffs start this week!  WINNER'S BRACKET ROUND 1 (WK 14 - WK 15) ROUND 2 (WK 16 - WK 17) TOT #4 Thepuppetmaster 0 #1 Kingston Irie Ites 0  TOT #3 berks county redrod 0 #2 PowerDominators 0    FOX SPORTS:  Rank Team W-L-T 1 z RedRum 11-2-0 2 y Cerberus 10-3-0 3 y Power Dominators 9-4-0 4 y ascoyhole 8-5-0 5 Fox Fantasy 7-6-0 6 Lakewood Beancounters 7-6-0 7 Vigilante 7-6-0 8 zappers 5-8-0 9 pflyers10 5-8-0 10 mt lions 5-8-0 11 bigD94 4-9-0 12 Reseda C Chord 0-13-0  x - Clinched playoff y - Clinched Wild Card z - Clinched Division  Playoffs start this week!  Championship Bracket  RedRum BYE  ascoyhole Fox Fantasy  Power Dominators Lakewood Beanco...  Cerberus BYE    YAHOO: (Slept through draft by accident)  *1. ballaz 10-3-0 *2. Hotlanta Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 How about a TPR fantasy football league next year just with your fans Big Mike?
Coastinmiller Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Good luck Mike, hope it brings you the money so you can support more trips!
Big Mike Posted December 9, 2008 Author Posted December 9, 2008 Hey Friends!!!  The next and final stop on the Ocean City Maryland Tour of The Big Mike Road Show 2008 was Jolly Roger Amusement Park!  The first half of this report will be the park, while the last part of the report will be all the pictures from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade I took while proudly being accompanied by Renee!   The next round of the Find the Ducky Contest will be 2 reports away after this one, so get those ducky detectives ready!   Also, the very next trip report is a MUST SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Not only does the Big Mike Road Show 2008 have the debut of Bobbi Jo, it has Big Mike with a MAJOR CELEBRITY!!!  This is not a Z-lister or even a D-lister, this is a bonafide A-list actor or actress hanging out with Big Mike!!!!  The thread is now open for guesses   I hope you enjoy!   Peace, Big Mike ... Renee!!!!  Hope you enjoyed and post thoses guesses on the A-List Celebrity that Big Mike hung out with this past weekend!!! Peace, Big Mike The parade was a fantastic time with lots of confetti and lots of great things to see, but Big Mike's most favorite thing he saw today was... Damn! What did I just step in??? Only on The Big Mike Road Show! LOL The marching band marching in a straight line though is trouble! Notice all the flattened piles already! With no backup plan, they try to direct marchers away from the piles. The balloon people can easily avoid it. This is the end result of the 2nd set of horses with noone to clean it up. Actually, these guys are the most underrated of all. They follow the horses and clean up the poop! There must have been cutbacks this year, becuase there were two sets of horses and only these guys followed the first set. The most underrated people ever, The Big Mike Road Show Road Crew, enjoying the parade courtesy of Big Mike for a job well done throughout the year! The Westminster Dog Show Best in Show! Big Mike's other shots and view of the parade: Check out the flying batons. Always last, Santa! Miranda Cosgrove. Crystle Stewart. (Only on The Big Mike Road Show 2008 does someone bring you pictures of Miss USA!) Trace Adkins. Rick Astley. (Displaying him again since he was a huge hit.) David Archuleta. "Hey Big Mike!" Shontelle. Miley Cyrus. Now the stars: James Taylor. I will first show you all the balloons, and then all the stars. Call the kids in so they can enjoy too! ... and Renee was happy that she had an awesome picture taking spot! Big Mike was happy because he was right there in the action... When we left off on the last update, Renee and Big Mike were sitting in the VIP seats watching the parade! Everyone wrote me and said "great seats!", but are they really?? Take a look at this picture. What is wrong with these seats?? You can't see the baloons!!!! I called the Macy's Rep over and told her I don't like these seats. She said WHAT??? I want new seats I said. We were then escorted to an auxiliary VIP section, front row on the street!! Much better! Before exiting, a picture of Jolly Roger for you. Some other rides at the park: Credit #722 for Big Mike! Reverse aerial. Aerial shot. The drop. The lift, which is very colorful. A rubber ducky!!!! Back to back practice round reports for the remaining competitors. The green car had a turtle on it. Guess what the yellow car had on it?? Think hard, it should be easy if you follow this thread! The cars! They had a red, green and yellow car. The red car had a Spiderman on the front. Overview. The only sign for the Wildcat was this bathroom sign, which this kid was not too pleased about. Credit #721 for Big Mike! ... on ride cameras on a wacky worm! The same wacky worm that I have ridden now 3 times in one day at 3 different parks, with the exception that this one has... Overview. Wacky Worm! Park map. Prices. Jolly Roger Amusement Park in Ocean City Maryland!
bobafett Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Regis Philbin? He seems like the kind of celebrity I would want to hang out with. Or perhaps maybe Bette Midler? She seems like she is cool also. Talk about crazy guesses! Can't wait for my big debut!---Bobbi Jo
packfanlv Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Big Mike I am not surprised that you have now moved up to the A-List. It seems like that appearance on Leno was a launching point for you. The skies the limit for you now. Lets hope that you don't forget us little people here at TPR. Anyway I have no idea what celebrity you hung out with, I will just have to wait for the next edition of the Enquirer to come out at the market I guess. Thanks for the pictures. Â Shawn
carolinacaniac Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Hey Big Mike, Â I think all of your loyal readers are wondering when they can expect to see the release of the 2009 Big Mike Road Show Schedule. I know I am curious! Â -Gary T.
