spaceace12 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 GAme, set, match. Peyton has pulled through in a major way to bring me from a 40 point deficiet to come back and pull it off before 4th quarter has started. I know I will loose Colts Bye week though. BTW, wasn't trying to gloat. It was merely a post of my excitement of the Colts game. Also, BTW....when you need to get a new camera, this what you should get. http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/photography/digital-cameras/compact/EC-TL225ZBPOUS/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail It has a screen on the front so you can see the picture you take on the front of the camera.
Big Mike Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 Hello Fantastic Friends!!!!! The next stop on The Big Mike Road Show 2009 was Indiana Beach!!! Indiana Beach is an awesome park, and it was even better today because there were quite a few friendly faces to hang out with also!! I even got to meet Duane Marden for the first time, creator of rcdb.com! Lots of people use rcdb.com, but how many people actually know who runs it and what he looks like? Thats when you rely on your favorite source of coaster info to come through for you once again with valuable info, Big Mike! Big Mike uses Roller Coaster Data Base quite often, and ranks it as the #2 roller coaster website right behind Theme Park Review! It is hard for any website to top Theme Park Review, because ONLY Theme Park Review has exclusive rights to the the mega hit and vastly popular Big Mike Road Show!!! Hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike The whole day was great, especially when we met up with great friends Melanie (funkybadger) and Rich (coaster05) at the end of the day! Thanks everyone for a great time! Hope you enjoyed! Peace, Big Mike Big Mike uses Indiana Beach as a vacation planner. Big Mike has been to the 1st 7 clocks now, and has the last 4 clocks to go! The Shafer Queen. Paratrooper. Flying Bobs This is about the point where I think Cameron got annoyed at Craig's advances throughout the day! Shooting dark ride! Den of Lost Thieves! Playing follow the leader into the barrier with Craig, then Big Mike, then Gage, resulting in a chain collision. Bumper Cars! Big Mike lining up Craig for demolishment. Sky ride! I think this is where Craig was making his move on Cameron! Can you spot Big Mike? Big Mike sighting! Other rides at the park: Double Shot. An overview of all of them together. Cornball Express. Jojo19799 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Big Mike, does this mean that the looooooooong awaited trip to SFGAm is coming up next? That's the most important TR in my book!
depotrat Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Nice to put a face with Duane's name. You are right, it is one of the most useful coaster site out there. I never take a trip without seeing what will be nearby. The pics and info on each coaster is priceless!!
Big Mike Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 Big Mike, does this mean that the looooooooong awaited trip to SFGAm is coming up next? That's the most important TR in my book! You got it Jo!!! Right after a little park/fantasy football update. Peace, Big Mike
Crazy4Coasters! Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I still got a squeaky clean record on my fantasy league... Even if 2 of my starters post two Big Fat ZEROS for me yesterday!
Homeboy23 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 ^ Same here, T.O. and Santonio Holmes gave me 1 point combined but I still managed to win. And I still have DeeAngelo Williams to add on some extra points. (If Delhomme doesn't throw a billion interceptions again)
broomy Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Great tr as always big mike. Looking forward to playing my 1st ducky game soon. Also how about some betting tips like you seemed to do last year.
Big Mike Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 Ahhhhh, the sure thing lock city bets that we all cashed in on last year!!! I was thinking about that and I would have made everyone rich week #1 with the Eagles, maybe I can sneak a few best bets your way in the coming weeks Peace, Big Mike
traincrossin Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Where was the gold shirt Big Mike? Glad to hear that the SFGAm trip report is next!
Jojo19799 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 ^I was just guessing it was next, but with Big Mike anything can happen. Ooops. It looks like my lessons at the Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Do Other Stuff Good Too is NOT working. I missed Big Mike's post about the upcoming SFGAm report. It's a good thing I went back to the last page to see it!
SharkTums Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Big Mike, you may not be able to answer this but I'm just curious as to what restriction was taped over on all of the kids rides? You can what I mean in all of your pictures of the kiddie ride signs, the 2nd restriction on almost all of them was taped over. Just curious! Thanks!
FeelTheFORCE Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Well it looks like me and MontuWillOwnYou will end up tying. Who ties in fantasy?!
Big Mike Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 Scott (Beemer Boy) tied also! A double tie!! Hey, I would have settled for a tie for Team Big Mike in that league! Sorry Elissa. I didn't even notice it until you just told me! I hate letting you down You should have joined fantasy football Elissa, maybe next year Peace, Big Mike
Homeboy23 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 ^ Man I got lucky to pull out the win over you this week, I only had 6 points from my wide receivers. Thankfully the Ravens and Aaron Rodgers had a great weekend.
Brandy524 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 There's not enough to say, There's not enough to do. So we're gonna beat the heck out of you! Just had to get a cheer in today!!
BeemerBoy Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Scott (Beemer Boy) tied also! Yeah, pretty sick. What's worse is that I had Witten against Romo on Monday night, going in with about a 6 point lead. Sick. Just sick. If Team Monorail doesn't start living up to expectations, we might have to shake things up in the front office or something.....or just trade up to complete my All "U" team, and roll with it.
Jinx Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 I lost by 7 points thanks to TO I knew I shouldn't have picked him!
Big Mike Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 Hello Fantastic Friends and Fellow Fantasy Footballers!!!!!! Every once in a while, we have to stop the fun on The Big Mike Road Show and look back on the great times we had in a certain park on the tour, for that park has reached the end of its lifespan! Such is the case for this trip report I am afraid. KiddieLand, the long running family amusement park in Illinois, is giving its "Last Rides" this upcoming Sunday! The park has raffled off the last rides on every single ride they have, and will make an all day event out of it before they close thier gates for good and sell all the rides. Maybe I will tally up the profits, as they are selling each seat on each ride, as I am curious on how much money they could rake in on closing day. If I have the time, look for an update on it soon. Well, when Big Mike heard they were closing and Big Mike had never visited there before, this trip was a no brainer and booked immediately. Now, one of the best things about the new and improved 2009 Big Mike Road Show was that Big Mike was going to go above and beyond the call of duty to get pictures of every single ride at every single park for the TPR Park Index to make Theme Park Review even that much more awesome! I felt I owed it to Robb for everything he has helped The Big Mike Road Show to become! Starting from the opening park this year, when I dragged poor old Jeff Johnson around Castle Amusement Park telling him that this was my new mission, it is trip reports like these that benefit the most. To enjoy my farewell to KiddieLand, I am now able to go right down the schedule of the last ride times of each ride with pictures!!! I know most of you already expect this sheer awesomeness from The Mighty Big Man, but this is just a part of the responsibility you have when you are the #2 overall ranked TPR thread of all time! You need to produce day in and day out. First, before we get to the farewell, Big Mike and 25 of his fellow Theme Park Review Friends, have to see the new standings after Week #3 in the Big Mike Fantasy Football Invitational: Big Mike continued his winning ways, completing ANOTHER winning week! Big Mike went 4-2 for the 3rd consecutive week and owes it all to the Big Mike Road Show Showstoppers for thier awesome support! Today's words of the day is "Sole Possession" Here is the breakdown: Big Money League (17 weeks, no play offs) BIG MIKE 3-0 (Sole possession of 1st place) Taylor 2-1 Fitz Hammer 2-1 Arties Army 2-1 Brad and Bob 1-2 Anthony 1-2 Carol 1-2 Mike K 0-3 * Big Mike dominates the battle of the unbeatens and wins by 40 while scoring the high score of the week for the 2nd time this year. Fox Sports Champions League (6 teams make playoffs) BIG MIKE 3-0 (sole possession of 1st place) Dem Boiz 2-1 Airnuts23 2-1 Bigfattboy 2-1 Dr23 2-1 Steeltown 2-1 Jstudies 2-1 Wasted Time 1-2 Soffay 1-2 Bandits 1-2 DrunkenBallers 0-3 KevyKev 0-3 *Big Mike has most points and most wins in the league! TPR WOOD COASTER LEAGUE (13 weeks, 4 teams make playoffs) Division #1: BIG MIKE 3-0 (sole possession of 1st place) Hurcules 2-1 themeparkguy27 1-2 Bauton 1-2 packfanlv 0-3 Division #2: Crazy4Coasters 3-0 stingrock23 2-1 DiSab 2-1 coreysjunk 1-2 slither37 0-3 *Big Mike makes this THREE 3-0 teams! Big Mike and Josh are undefeated and the two unbeatens just happen to both play to two winless teams this week! I am smelling 4-0 Shawn TPR STEEL COASTER LEAGUE (14 weeks, 4 teams make playoffs) East Division: Homeboy23 3-0 BIG MIKE 1-2 Jakizle 1-2 Coaster Palooza 1-2 Central Division: Jabronis 2-0-1 Beemer Boy 1-1-1 bearcut 1-2 sugart 1-2 West Division: FeelTheForce 2-0-1 MontuWillOwnYou 2-0-1 Satchboogie3 1-2 JimmyBo 0-3 *Sure you could look at it as I blew the chance to beat Homeboy and tie him for 1st, but I look at it as we had 2 ties this week in this league and even at 1-2, Big Mike is still right there in the thick of things. TPR POWERED COASTER LEAGUE (4 teams make playoffs) Jinx 2-1 spaceace12 2-1 bigsteve07 2-1 BIG MIKE 1-2 Robbie 1-2 The Ghost 1-2 *Big Mike warned everybody that he was about to make a run to the top, and backed it up! Adam goes down next! Little Money League (Head to Head) Zinger 2-1 BIG MIKE 1-2 *Big Mike loses by 1 point as he watched Frank Gore go out 1 play into the game and Drew Brees lay an egg. I have never been so confident in a 1-2 team as this one! OK, that is out of the way! Sorry for all you non fantasy footballers, but Big Mike finds all kinds of ways to make his Valuable Big Mike Readers happy!! I hope you enjoy my Farewell to KiddieLand!!!! Peace, Big Mike Goodbye KiddieLand, I was very happy to experience all your fun and excitement, you will be missed! Hope you enjoyed! Peace, Big Mike Come 8pm this Sunday night at KiddieLand in Illinois, there are going to be a lot of faces looking like this leaving the park for the very last time 7:45pm - The last ride of all the last rides, the Carousel. It was a nice ride, but a little hard to see anything. Maybe a bit too small for The Big Man, but he rode anyway! This also has a nice long course. Yep, this is the Steam Train. Just making sure. 7:30pm - Last ride for the Steam Powered Train. Yes, they are bringing out both trains. The biggest guy on this train also had fun as he collected credit #783 for Big Mike! Despite his face, the biggest guy on the train was having fun too! The coaster was just right, not too whimpy, not too mean, lots of fun for everyone. The Little Dipper has a nice course. The lift and track, not looking spiffy and new. The train, looking spiffy and new. Old fashioned brakes. Reverse overview. Overview. This closure hurts and they gave this time slot a half hour. 7pm - The last ride on The Little Dipper. 6:45 - Last ride for the Gas Powered Train. (The gas train was not running on my visit.) 6:30 - Last ride for the German Carousel. 6:15pm - Last ride for the Tilt A Whirl. 6pm - Last ride for the Scooters. 5:45 - Last ride for Polyp. 5:30pm - Last ride for the Elephant. 5:15pm - Last ride for the Mushroom. Nice cars. 5pm - Last ride for the Auto Ride. 4:45pm - Last ride for the Roto Whip. 4:30pm - Last ride for the Dune Buggies. 4:15pm - Last ride for the Little Ferris Wheel. 4pm - Last ride for the Sky Fighter. 3:45 pm - Last Ride for the Boats. 3:30pm - Last ride for the Flying Saucers. 3:15pm - Last ride for the Dip N Drop. 3pm - Last ride for the Space Age Umbrella. 2:45pm - Last ride for the Kiddie Swing. 2:30pm - Last ride for the Scrambler. 2:15pm - Last ride for the Race A Bouts. 2pm - Last ride for the Large Ferris Wheel. 1:45pm - Last ride for Log Jammer. 1:30pm - Last ride for Galleon. 1:15pm - Last ride for Tornado. This Sunday, starting at 1pm and going throughout the day, KiddieLand will give the "last rides" on every ride they have. Follow along with Big Mike as if you were there as we say goodbye to the rides! 1pm is the last ride for Pipeline, which is the only ride I did not find. Just in case anyone noticed it, yes, this was the area that Griffin (B&Man) found his Mikestery Treasure Hunt Card!!! Raft Pull. Lava Run. Volcano Net Climb. Ball Pit. Since the park is not using these attractions on Last Ride day, I will show them to you first. A kids play area. Big Mike always loves parks that give away free drinks. I guess this may be worth something down the road? The park map and what the park will look like for one more week. The prices during the season. Sundays final admission price will be $25. This sign is iconic, I hope it finds a safe resting place. KiddieLand!
monsterfan99 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 A great report from the park. It is sad there is only 2 days left for the park. I'll be there the last day (won a last ride on Log Jammer,) hope to see some of you there.
Homeboy23 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Great report but sad that there goes another park I won't be able to visit.
slither37 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Great TR, It is sad that this park is closing, but not quite as sad as The Linguists have been this year. Win #1 this week! ( Gee, I think I sound like a Browns fan?)
