dpxtreme Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 "If Frank were an upcharge, I would definately pay to ride."
montezooma Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 I've ridden Frank and let me tell you it is one hell of a ride!
SpartanTS Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 "Wow. Frank's really big." Â Frank can fit inside Magnum...
dandaman Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 "I'm not going on Frank while it's raining... or ever." Â Someone needs to make "Flight Deck fish" bumper stickers or some bracelets. If CF changed it 'cause they already have the merchandise, let's go the whole nine yards.
cycamps Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I can't believe that they changed it back so quickly.
downunder Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Is it just me or is CF starting to make Six Flags look good.
Angry_Gumball Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Well, Six Flags seems to be on a role of following pop culture...Tony Hawk's Big Spin, Evil Kneivil (however you spell it), Wiggles, Thomas the Tank, etc...I thought it was better when they stuck with 1 theme: Warner Bros.
KGA29 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Is it just me or is CF starting to make Six Flags look good. Â Not really considering SF isn't exactly the most creative with ride names either.
Angry_Gumball Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I'm afraid to see what the woodie's going to be named...Wood Deck?
Sunfire Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 ^On Wikipedia, they speculated that the ride may be called Stampede, or Santa Clara Stampede. Idk, but it sounds pretty Cedar Fair-ish to me.
Tmcdllr Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 To help out CF here are some possible names for the new wood coaster: Wood-y, The Splinter, Termite Heaven, Sticky Sap Hurler, Pressure Treated Lumber Yard of Doom, The Rusty Nail, Wood Dock, Wheels on Wood, Twister 2 x 4, and finally, Turn of the Century. Not very good but that should be on par with the brilliant minds that came up with Flight Deck.
RIP Psyclone Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 You gotta give yourself to Flight Deck, brah! Have you accepted Flight Deck as your Lord and Saviour?
texcoaster Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 I've ridden Frank, and I'll tell ya: Frank's got a big deck. Â Have you seen Frank's big deck? Â It makes me feel pretty bad for all those coasters with tiny decks. Â Let's be frank here: Flight Deck gives me a bad case of Afterburn.
Angry_Gumball Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Talking to a coworker about Flight Deck again about it being our savior, he had to get back to work and said "To the Batcave" so I replied back "To the Invisible Boat Mobile!" And as a response back, I hear "To the Flight Deck!" I guess I gotta learn to love the name now. I"m just going to start ending every ride at CGA with Deck for now on! (Stampede Deck anyone?)
Rideslover Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Afterburn  sound like a aircraft blaster as flight deck used from Top Gun.  Yea! Afterburn go blast my butt off the big roiller coaster at Great America
Tmcdllr Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Maybe they should call it Frank. That way they could turn the pizza place near the ride entrance into a hot dog stand.
Ccron10 Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Man, that's a long line! Everyone wants to ride Frank! lol  WTF did they name one TG coaster Afterburn and not name all of them the same thing? SF is starting to sound better lately.
mcjaco Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Afterburn  sound like a aircraft blaster as flight deck used from Top Gun.  Yea! Afterburn go blast my butt off the big roiller coaster at Great America  I'm sure if I should cry or laugh at this.
sfmmrules! Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Well I think CF thought Flight Deck fits better than Afterburn which it does. Flight Deck isn't a terrible name after all. Maybe they'll use Afterburn for Survivor's name.
Craneman Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Afterburn  sound like a aircraft blaster as flight deck used from Top Gun.  Yea! Afterburn go blast my butt off the big roiller coaster at Great America  I'm sure if I should cry or laugh at this.  a lil of both...
Angry_Gumball Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Got some name ideas (fictional) for former Top Gun.   PG-13 warning, maybe beyond PG13...   High Topper Pop Gun Gas Conflict Skid Mark Mile High Solo Bloody Sky Fast Air Car thing Stratospere Suck Ensurance Fighter Rear Burst Patriot ACTion! G-Spot Ozone Attacker Downdraft Dodger Tail Chaser Jet Dream Hot Model Budget Crisis  And if they did movie licenses...  Osama, Where Art Tho? Saving Private Bush Battlefield Great America  If only 1 day Cedar Fair considered these names...
