^^ Yeah it doesn't mean they will close, they could stay open. But honestly do you believe that? Yeah it's sad to see my park close, I've been going there since early 80's. I truly believe the park has run it's last days, adding a BMX stunt show? A magic show? Like that's anything to be proud of? Canada's wonderland got Behemoth, KI is getting Diamondback, KD Got Dominator , Carowinds might get a hyper. CGA? A stunt show? CGA's time has come as sad as it is, I hate to see them go myself but we all kind of knew this was coming. Now we just have to wait and see what happens.

B&M Lift Catwalks

Maybe B&M wanted to get rid of excess weight from the lift hill? -

Imo.. CGA needs a Gimmick to keep the park alive. CF came through with that woodie but I think it was to get an upper hand with the whole 49ers stadium speal. If the 49ers and Raiders make a deal and build a joint stadium together, that would leave a lot of room for CF to do SOMETHING with the park.

ENI is reporting that Universal Studios Parks & Resorts has joined with Hasbro, Inc. and Dreamworks to develop a Transformers attraction based off the movies. It seems that Universal Studios Singapore will get the attraction first in 2010, followed by LA in 2011. "The attraction will fuse 3D-HD media, mega special effects and stunning robotics with a ride system that will transform perceptions of theme park experiences. The rides are scheduled to make their debuts in early 2011, first at Universal Studios Singapore and then at Universal Studios Hollywood. In "Transformers," Earth's hum

8tons? 8,000lbs = 4tons and about 4.2tons is about right nothing wrong with the track weight. -
Hello TPR! My name is Bryan, I live in the San Francisco bay area. I'm 26yrs old I work as a crane operator for a local company. I've been in love with coasters since i can remember. I've had my hand in assembling and disassembling coasters. Not the highlight of my career. My dream is to be able to go on one of TPR's awesome trips. Hope to meet some great people here!!

Few? under estimate, there are close to hundreds of cranes capable of reaching OVER 300ft. TTD was assembled with 2 300ton capacity cranes over 430ft. A 300ton crane can only pick off the side with shortest boom possible. With every foot you go up, you lose capacity in what you can pick. That's why you can only pick 3-5tons 250ft up, where was 315+ ft up you can only pick 2-3 tons if that. It WILL be 240 to 250 ft tall. -

Atleast 315ft tall? for a 230ft tall coaster? Doubt it, maybe 250-260ft tall. -
Nintendo should make a theme park.

What about using the Mii's and visiting your friends theme park, and having other TPR members able to visit your park and ride your coasters. Heck Robb could even do a contest for the best Wii park, you'd get to choose by walking through each park, riding each coaster etc.. all from the comfort of your favorite recliner. just an idea... -

What about that one Intamin ride that chopped a girl's feet off?? The ride itself was built by Intamin, however the steel cable used was not manufactured by Intamin. So therefor the Ride itself didn't chop the feet off, the cable did. -
Suicide at Disneyland Hotel
Craneman replied to Drop-Out's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I feel so sorry for him and his family.. truly sad.. As someone that's been down that road many times before, I can say that at the time suicide seems like the only true answer to ones problems. I've been close to dying a few times and somehow am still here. Love my life so far, got a great job, money is good etc.. But sometimes even having friends, money, love etc.. isn't enough. I just fear for my self and others that have been down that path and close to the end. Life's hard, it really is. But there are better ways to deal with issues then suicide. -
I work a company in San Francisco California called "Sheedy Crane" today at work we got a couple truck loads in covered in blue tarps. I was told not to look under the tarp but once i had a chance I looked and saw white coaster track. I kept looking and saw a tag on a small box that said "S&S Power; Part # 344563 "Air Launch valves" there were what looked like two pieces of track from the bunny hill. I took a couple pictures with my camera phone, im trying to upload them onto photobucket but it's being a pain in the butt. they aren't the best because I was trying to avoid

I find it funny when guys turn down jobs on saturday/sunday. The crane operator is probably making around $40 an hour, so time and a half for working on sunday? I'd do it!! Dominator is looking good, I hope i can get out there this year and ride it! -

The one thing I miss most about CGA is going there are the park having an atmosphere!! People enjoying themselves, laughing having a good time. The last time i was there in 05 I was only there for a few hours, was excited up to the point where i got inline for top gun and everyone was standing around looking sad and just.. bored... I want my old great america back.. -
