My dad doesn't like thrill rides, so when we go to parks together, he sits on a bench and "people watches." This is where you do nothing but observe all the strange or ignorant people you see walking by. He finds it quite interesting. lol.

I have seen some pretty interesting people at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. This summer, my Dad, brother, and I were walking into Splashwater Kingdom and there was a very strange couple coming out of Tornado. The 30-ish year old man had both nipples pierced and his hair in two soaked pigtails. The girl, a bit younger than he, had multiple piercings on her face, and from her knees down, and wrists up, was covered in black, purple, and green tattoos. I was not sure if their tongues were pierced though, for they were down in each others throats. I wanted to laugh, but was afraid they would beat me up or something...

What are parks where you find it interesting to people watch?

*Please note, I have searched for this topic and found nothing. Please forgive me if this is a repeat.*

Dollywood. You are guaranteed to see at least one ECV/powered wheelchair wreck while you are there.

Not to mention the interesting people that visit that park...

Any WDW park is good, too. Last year, we watched two ECVs collide in the hallway coming out of Spaceship Earth. Priceless.

It's a good thing that the FBI isn't looking for stalkers!!

But back on topic: When I went to King's Island over the summer, I found quite a few rednecks (can I say that?) at the park. It was quite funny actually. :: insert evil laugh::

Isla Magica.

All the Spanish parks had amazing man watching, but Isla took the cake because it was so hot out. Though seeing the wild west performers at PortAventura put on a show before the officail one was quite nice too.

It's really no wonder that I loved Spain.

They want to go muddin', fishin', huntin', get some

Call me an ignorant Canadian, but what in the heck is muddin'???

As for best people watching, if you are a 17-18 year old male (which was me at one point) GO TO CANADA'S WONDERLAND ON GRAD NIGHT! I have never in my life seen so many good looking girls wearing so little clothing. The best part is, because it is Grad Night you know they are all your exact age give or take a year.

AND that is my little bit of wisdom to pass onto my younger brothers.

Well, other than SFKK and WDW, I have to put a vote in for SFGAm. You get a lot of diversity from Chicago along with a ton of teeny boppers. The latter of which provides some solid entertainment if you can withstand the stupidity and overall annoying nature.

^ Seriously, I do not understand how that can happen. I can understand being overweight, but come on. How did she let herself get like that? She just must not care. It kind of makes me angry that someone would let them happen to themselves.

Tyler

It it makes me even more angry that people are so quick to judge. Ever notice that some people have disorders or diseases that make them fat? Ever heard of genetics? Sure some people are just food addicted slobs, but other people truly can't help it, and people staring, taking pictures, and making fun of these people just ticks me off.

Looking at that picture actually makes me really sad, and makes me feel sorry for her. My god people, you don't say "wow look at that guy with no legs, he must have loved laying on train tracks!" do you?

Is it bad that I still don't buy into it? I mean, sure, there are disorders that make it harder to burn fat, or make it harder to exercise, but I think the degree of severity is almost always blown out of proportion and used as an excuse. Have you ever heard of somebody who gave an honest, hard effort to lose weight and didn't? In every case I've ever seen, whether it's a person I know, a story I've read, or a special on TV about obesity, the people who get bigger just don't put enough effort into it. If you legitimately have something wrong with you, wouldn't that be motivation to take action against it?

A few close family friends have all been severely overweight for years (they are in the same family). Well, they all started dieting and exercising more, and all of them have lost at least 50 lbs.

My family has little bit of a history with obesity too, which has caused problems with my brother and I. We have both been considerably overweight in our lifetimes, and we've both lost considerable amounts of weight. Our metabolisms just suck. But what do we do? We have self control. We both eat as healthy as we can and exercise as much as we can. Sure, it might "suck," but it's the price you have to pay.

Now obviously we weren't nearly as overweight as the lady in the picture (though a few of those family friends weren't too far away), and I know that my personal experiences and observations don't vouch for the entire population. But again, have you ever known somebody who put in a legit effort and didn't lose weight? It's about self-control and will power.

I'm not trying to sound like a dick. If somebody can show me evidence that proves my theory wrong, I would really like to see it (I'm not doubting that it's out there).

Anyway, I should probably shut up. I feel like I'm becoming a catalyst for an argument/taking this thread completely off topic.

Yeah, Walt Disney World for sure!

People turn off their brains and it's just this seething mass.

Amazing.

That has to be the most accurate description of Disney World. Last time I visited Magic Kingdom I would get caught up in a swarm of people, and I swear they were just screaming out "Blah, blah, blah, blahh". It was like the anchovies on Spongebob or something!

My main point is that it is simply sick to take pictures and make fun of other people just cause they are overweight. I am skinny so me being fat is not why this is getting me. Taking a picture of someone for the sole purpose of making fun of them is WRONG. If they want to get fat, then GREAT! Whether it's their fault or not, it just ticks me off. To me it's like saying "Hey everybody, let's go make fun of the poor single mother who has to resort to prostitution to pay the bills. I mean, she could definitely get a job and make her life better, but she isn't so she must just be a horrible person."

^I think I'm kind of guilty of that one one of my last trips to CGA. I video clipped what I dubbed a 'morbosity' who was screaming at us...Though I didn't really video clip her due to her weight, just her screaming at everyone walking by that told her to stfu.
