ginzo
Theme Park Review is the best roller coaster site I know hands down. Wrong. http://forums.delphiforums.com/n/main.asp?webtag=JL1110&nav=start&prettyurl=%2FJL1110%2Fstart That is the best roller coaster site.
Wood Dragon 1988
Interesting poll. I voted in the ones I knew/cared about, and viewed the results for all others. No surprise with RCDB's runaway with best knowledge based content. But Lifthill.net should OWN the photo category.
dandaman
Wrong. http://forums.delphiforums.com/n/main.asp?webtag=JL1110&nav=start&prettyurl=%2FJL1110%2Fstart That is the best roller coaster site. Well, DUH. If it's rated "best" by ARN&R, it's best for me! ...Screamscape = best site? Did the webmaster delete his cookies 87* times over and keep voting? *So far. Erik Johnson
Come on now, I think Lance does a really good job with Screamscape. I know that I check it out at least once a day.
robbalvey
Come on now, I think Lance does a really good job with Screamscape. I know that I check it out at least once a day. I agree. IMO, between Screamscape for news, RCDB for information, and our site for Photo TR's and discussions, that's pretty much all the coaster sites I need. --Robb "Shameless plug, I know, but it's true!" dandaman
^Sorry. What I meant was that considering all the flack the site gets, I'm surprised that that many people (possibly the same people-turned-hypocrites, actually) voted for him. And for the record, I like his rumours even if some are way out there.

I second(or third that)...well a little RCPro might sneak in. TPR-overall, forums, interactiveness RCPro-design(the new design is great, and with the site being rebuilt, it will only get better) Coaster Capture-photos, best new site RCDB-information
Carnage
Come on now, I think Lance does a really good job with Screamscape. I know that I check it out at least once a day. The only thing I don't like about Screamscape is the ads. He went a bit overboard on them, and they hurt the site IMO.
Erik Johnson
^^ I will have to agree with you. Quite often some of those ads crash my browser.
downunder
Well I guess the bottom line is that people vote with their feet and if Alexa's rankings are any indication then TPR is tops.

Alvey I second that. I always use those 3 sites you've listed for thos EXACT reasons. I find it very useful to have those sites in handy. I mean really, WHAT IF Screamscape, RCDB and TPR never existed? I don't know what i'd do and even if i'd actually gotten into roller coasters as easily as i have. coasterdude5
Yeah RCDB, Screamscape, and TPR are my top three sites as well. They're the essentials.
Sticky Nicky
^They are mine also, but I check ThrillNetwork for MOA pics and Coasterbuzz, but I usually save TPR for last because it has the best info and the fourms are so large that they actually change each day. Some of the other place's forums might have added 2 or 3 new posts each time I visit (which is usually once a day).
DATman
If only there was most entertaining. Westcoaster would dominate. Still, TPR, Screamscape, and RCDB are hands down the best coaster sites in existence, each for its own unique reasons. Screamscape looks toward the future and does a very good job of it, RCDB has all the facts, and TPR has everything in between.
ParkTrips
Hm, maybe I just have a different interpretation of the word "interactive" but I can't believe TPR is even a finalist in that category. I love the site and everything but to me this site just doesn't have the same level of interactive features as, say, Ted's site. But hey, congrats to TPR on running away with that one. jackskellington101
This is the allegory Ashley and I just figured: For park and coaster community, Screamscape is the New York Times, RCDB is the Wall Street Journal and TPR is the New York Post, minus the Murdoch. robbalvey
Hm, maybe I just have a different interpretation of the word "interactive" but I can't believe TPR is even a finalist in that category. I love the site and everything but to me this site just doesn't have the same level of interactive features as, say, Ted's site. But hey, congrats to TPR on running away with that one. I took it to mean the overall amount of things you could "do" on the site, and I think we actually have quite a bit to offer than some sites don't. Like the ability to upload photos and videos, our photoshop contests, our video contests (which IS coming back very soon, BTW), the video game contests, the chat room, uploading video game tracks and levels, the events calandar, etc and on top of that just the volume of discussion. We don't have the kind of searchable database that RCDB or CF offers, but that's not really what TPR is about. I've always thought that TPR was more about people interacting with other people and sharing stuff with each other. Remember, the abilty to upload photos and videos is still not actually something a lot of sites do. Most of them you have to link to the image on an external site or a YouTube entry. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what "interactivity" means to a roller coaster website, but if someone out there thinks we're "interactive"...then GREAT! I would say that I think Ted's site should get "Best Design." --Robb "How many other coaster sites have Tic Tac Toe?" Alvey
arrowfanman
^ Yeah, but "interactivity" doesn't mean crap when you're not the premier source for high quality coaster information! -Jahan
