FLIPDUDE Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 LOL! Hillarious trip report, Robb! Looks relaly awsome out there! Are you guys still on the trip or did you come back already? I would like to see more detailed reviews though in terms of how good is a coaster, like that jupiter one but I can wait for the unofficial TRs
larrygator Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 ^I've met enough people on these trips, you don't have to be cool to join the trips.
dhh Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 ZORBS! Thank you for allowing this poor Texan to be a "guest" on all your trips. For whatever reason, this Japan TR, more than most others, has made me smile/laugh alot in the last few days. Maybe one day I can afford the real thing.
RIP Psyclone Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Ah yes, Jupiter, O.G. Intamin wood! Better than Balder? Oh wait: Designer: Curtis D. Summers I think not!
the sound Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Zorbs are these crazy human hamster balls that started out in New Zealand. Another victory for the Southern Hemisphere.
TheRealTinkerbell Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Robb, PLEASE tell me they allowed you to video tape in the Zorbs! A POV of that would be HILARIOUS!
robbalvey Posted September 12, 2007 Author Posted September 12, 2007 Do you have New POV videos for all of the Roller Coasters that you have been on during this Japan Trip? I would love to see a TPR filmed Un-Cut, Full, Station to Station POV video for Jupiter the wood coaster. Also one for Loop Screw, Splash Bandit, Standing and Loop, and White Canyon. Also newer ones for Galaxy Express 999, and Thunder Dolphin. I have quite a few new POVs that I will post when we do the big updates. I just don't have the time on this trip to do videos. --Robb "And sorry, no POV of the Zorbs." Alvey
Nrthwnd Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 ZORB Rocked!!! Um... Actually, it rolled, lol. A lot. But the travel pathway was way too short. Could have used a few hundred extra meters (yes this country IS metric) of rolling forward-ness. Still, it was a very cool experience to do on the tour. That, and squid balls.
Loefet Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Jupiter was brutal, you wanted to get of as soon as it left the lifthill, one of the worst woodies I have ridden. Rest of the trip is awesome, the Uminonakamichi karts are one of the best things I have EVER ridden. Cant`t wait until the rest of it.
pagemaster_b Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 ^ When will you post pics of that Japanese harem following you around Disney Sea?
larrygator Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Another victory for the Southern Hemisphere. ANOTHER???????? When was the first victory?

BeemerBoy Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 ^^ Kangaroo boxing? You gotta admit, watching a marsupial kick the crap out of a human is pretty freakin' hilarious. So yeah, at least two victories.
mcjaco Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Kylie Minogue is kind of hot. Could that be considered a victory? Better yet, Men at Work?
coaster05 Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Men at Work was awesome that is definately a victory.
coaster05 Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Oh man, we don't get anything cool in the US. Japan gets Zorbs! Thanks for the update. Thats not true we have the ten year in a row golden ticket winning park, not to mention almost every other golden ticket winner. We know thos are not biased. USA USA
Dino_Martini Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Zorbs look freaking awsome. I knew Japan rocked. I'll go there some time...
Flippero95 Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 I geek out just going into the Hello Kitty store at the mall. I might drop dead from excitment if I were to visit Sanrio Harmonyland!
Team Thriller Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Nice update Looks like one of those 'crazy' parks

Zen Coaster Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 First victory was a bunch of us doing an 'Aussie Aussie Aussie... Oi Oi Oi' during the lifthill of quite a few coasters on the Midwest Trip. While we didn't have an 'It's All About Austraila' Day, that was just as awesome.
mckryan Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I love these trip reports! I also love how you are doing as much as before and taking KT along for the ride. She's going to be a great world traveler!
TheRealTinkerbell Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Robb "And sorry, no POV of the Zorbs." Alvey Oh well. Maybe that'll be on the schedule for any future Japan Zorb Trip! In the meantime, I guess I will have to imagine the scene in my head! At least there are other POV's ahead! I can't wait to see them(actually, I can).
larrygator Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 First victory was a bunch of us doing an 'Aussie Aussie Aussie... Oi Oi Oi' during the lifthill of quite a few coasters on the Midwest Trip. I guess that could be considered a victory for a nation founded by convicts. Actually, I really do like Australia and Australians.
