Splash down in splash works !!!!

dippin dots said splash down in the wave pool, they will hire an extra 3 life guards to be safe

I know you're joking but now that I think about it a splash down at the back of the wave pool that splashes everybody in the wave pool would be pretty awesome

There's a good chance BOTH could be getting a coaster in 2017, just like with the two Intimidators and Gatekeeper/Gold Striker. I actually think an invert is coming to Canadas Wonderland instead, because Cedar Fair knows that Vekoma SLCs suck. As for Kings Dominion, maybe a wingrider of some sort, or a family launcher.

I don't know man, KD really needs one though. even after these guys get a new coaster they'll be complaining a year after getting one and start speculating about a b&m invert or something.

Actually that's quite rude coming in here and saying that considering no one was complaining nor talking about new coasters till last year when Skyrider was removed, in fact Kings Dominion fans are most known for being the complainers... Evidence points towards us getting a coaster with news articles quoting it and land clearing taking place... So just saying...We also do triple and this year quadruple the attendance the smaller parks including KD do with record attendance this season. The thing is we pay off coaster investments in one year.

Not to get into this very heated discussion, but you just pulled that attendance number out of your behind. Kings Dominion does over 2 million per year while Wonerland does about 3.6 million or so. Granted that will increase to about 4 this year, but you're severely underestimating KD.

Halloween Haunt Announcement;

Have to be honest I love how Canada's Wonderland does it with the mail boxes themed to the houses on the Haunt House

Discontinued Clowns at Midnight and changed Massacre Manor to Spirit Manor. So in reality no new haunts, and we lost a haunt... Yet the park reaches capacity during haunt. Interesting, I think were going to see Scare Zones that are good finally now.

Jurassic World is also being displayed tonight presented by Pay Pal

I went to the park yesterday and despite being cold and rainy it was still crazy packed. I got fastlane and it was definitely worth it. The queue for Leviathan was completely spilling out into the midway. Luckily, with FL, I got 24 rides on Leviathan as well as 6 on Behemoth, then one on Wild Beast (which was significantly smoother than last year! Lots of retracking), MCMB, Backlot, and Time Warp (which I find enjoyable tbh). You can tell where I spent most my day

Same show, different name. The theatre show was horrible 4 years ago, and it's still horrible now! I might, (I repeat, might) watch Skeleton Crew this year, however, that too has been the same show for 4-5 years now too. Time for a complete Haunt revamp at Canada's Wonderland. Sorry to say this, but, Wonderland's Haunt has been getting more 'same old, same old' for quite a few years now. Maybe that's why there has been a big price drop this year.

Going to the park for the first time this coming weekend. Any advice? Will be arriving late Friday and spending Saturday and Sunday at the park. Might hit the hockey HOF or Marineland on Monday.

fast lane plus and you will love it. Stay for the night time starlight spectacular and take the day slow. don't rush rides enjoy the shows the resturaunts and the water park along with maybe an afternoon nap and you will survive the old head bangers and have fun

If you're spending 2 days at the park you won't need fast lane. Sunday will be super busy for the fireworks though

I second the Fast land plus advice, as given that it is the last weekend before school starts, the place will be pretty packed. I would start with Guardian, as that ride does not have fast lane, and the lineup gets pretty long as the day progresses (and it can break down every so often). The water park is a good place to duck into when it gets hot...but lots of people have the same idea you do. If you want to get soaked to cool down without doing the waterpark, Timberwolf falls will do the trick nicely.

If you are looking at "extra" rides, the CNE will still be running next weekend and the Midway has some pretty decent stuff in there. It is airshow weekend next week though, so again rather a crowded place to be. No escaping it...sorry.

Enjoy your days at the park.

Here's a map that shows our water park expansion in 2015, where Sky Hawk is going and all the land clearing going on from an updated google maps picture actually showing the land clearing. Like I said when there's this much land clearing going on in 2015 and the 2016 attraction isn't taking it's spot, and we know water park expansions don't require this much time/ prep as you can see from Carowinds, It's pretty safe to assume from the news articles and construction itself that we are a park getting a coaster in 2017

If I remember correctly at the start of the 2015 season you were telling everybody to get their last rides on minebuster since it was going to be RMC'd correct? Or was that someone else?

I would live to see CW do something cool like use Mack or someone else for a change. We all know that cedar fair will use B and M s until they go out of style ( Just look at cedar point). That being said, is it possible that B and M would change things up a little for example.... use 6 trains ( 4 cars each) load and unload maverick style and have 2 launces. this would allow for a good launch ( due to smaller trains) while keeping a good capacity. Also, this would allow for more forceful elements and even a longer ride. I don't know if wing coaster trains will allow for a more forceful ride but anything is possible. I guess I can say that I am hoping for B and Ms first maverick style ( or Blitz coaster) using wing rider trains. ill try not to get my hopes up

Where has the idea of a wing coaster come for 2017 come from...that seems to be the ONLY type of coaster that people seem to mention in terms of what "might" be coming. Is it because it is on the wish list...or a rumour from somewhere else. My question is if Cedar Point had Gatekeeper installed recently...would they want to put a wing coaster in CW OR would they want to put something in that CP does not have...to create choice.

My personal "wish" is for a B and M flyer in the style of Tatsu. I watched a TPR video last night of a B and M flyer in China (starry sky ripper?) and it has the forceful elements that enthusiasts like (the TPR crew seemed to enjoy it and those pretzel loops are cool) and also are not too common (not many in North America..B and M wise). The ride can be also be fit into numerous different layouts and take advantage of terrain at the park.

These rides are popular with the public aswell..as Manta proved at Seaworld. From a purely "stupid" viewpoint aswell...with everyone speculating on the name "Ziz"..surely a beast of the air would be compatible with a flying coaster.

Negatives I can see....Would it be enough of a "people eater" for capacity? Does Tomb raider/Timewarp count as a flying coaster (I know it does bit in a bit of a lame sense)....would the park want to up the ante with a B and M

My opinion only...I am biased because Tatsu and Manta are in my top 10..and I have ridden Air at Alton towers and found it fun. I promise I won't be dissappointed WHATEVER they build in 2017. I have been reading the Six flags great Adventure thread recently and those guys are TOUGH on their new stuff! In fact it has made for some rather amusing reading...and I say that with the British deadpan sarcasm that I am known for!

^IMO Starry Sky Ripper is by far the best B&M Flyer (of course, I haven't ridden it so I'm going based off of looks). It not only has a lot of lie-fly elements, but they all look really intense. Any park in NA that got a Flyer that actually took advantage of the perpendicular heartline a flyer offers would have my ticket!

But then again CP is getting the worlds tallest and fastest dive coaster next year. Do they really need to hold on to a record that would attract more guests at another park in the chain. just imagine..... Ziz the sky rider ( worlds tallest and fastest wing coaster)
