BugEyed Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 ^ and if they build a B&M flyer with purple track it could be a Flying Purple People Eater.
StuckInSD Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 ^ And if they shorten the trains to 4 cars and reduce capacity to one seat, it can be a One-Seat, Four-Car, Flying Purple People Eacter.
booink Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 It would be great if La Ronde bought it to put near Ednor. That way they can have an invert and stand up at both sides of the park. What a terrible idea ! We already got enough crappy relocated coasters like that, we don't need another one !
DarienLaker Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Maybe Seabreeze bought Skyrider, they need a looping coaster!
DarienLaker Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Maybe Martin's Fantasy Island, don't where they can put it?
ImNotOneOfYou Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I would actually like to see SkyRider at Dorney Park.
canadianparkfan Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I actually think it'll stay in Canada. I'm thinking either Vancouver's Playland, or Callaway PPark in Calgary.
Woodie Warrior Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I would actually like to see SkyRider at Dorney Park. If Cedar Fair was planning on relocating it within the chain it wouldn't have ever been listed on that website.
GwaziBSRider1 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 If we're talking parks in the Northeast, maybe Great Escape? It would be a lovely addition there.
DarienLaker Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Maybe Marineland if Skyrider is staying in Canada?
GwaziBSRider1 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 ^ They've definitely got the space for it there. But of course, they'll have to paint it brown first before they install it!
rollin_n_coastin Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I see SkyRider fitting in really well at Great Escape or Darien Lake. Nothing wrong with re-located rides if they fit a park.
AaronYee Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 rougarou is no longer an option, sorry to the people who believed the olympic naming coincidence
DarienLaker Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 rougarou is no longer an option, sorry to the people who believed the olympic naming coincidence Cedar Point has taken that name for Mantis' remodel!
StuckInSD Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 ^^^ If Six Flags can have 12 Batmans, I'm sure one more Rougarou won't hurt.
DarienLaker Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 If Six Flags can have 12 Batmans, I'm sure one more Rougarou won't hurt. Six Flags run more "commercial" that Cedar Fair, so Six Flags strives for quantity over quality while Cedar Fair does it vice versa!
canadianparkfan Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 ^But remember, CF has 3 or 4 windseeker a
RCF Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 ^ And 5 Drop Towers... Drop towers are now almost a staple ride at parks.
Geauga Dog Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 ^^^ If Six Flags can have 12 Batmans, I'm sure one more Rougarou won't hurt. Unlike Six Flags, Cedar Fair doesn't use the same name twice for existing coasters. More than likely they could reuse the Mantis name since it's no longer being used.

But didn't they re-use Woodstock Express, Vortex, Demon and Flight Deck quite a few times? Just saying. Anyways, I think they might have another mythical beast name for whatever will be taking SkyRider's place. I think it might be called Ziz, since they already have Behemoth and Leviathan in the park (and that would complete the trio).
3Mutts Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 ^ And 5 Drop Towers... Drop towers are now almost a staple ride at parks. No they are CALLED Drop Tower as in the actual ride name (they used to be Drop Zone).
XYZ Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Well, Paramount is the one that called 5 of their drop towers "Drop Zone" and 4 of their coasters "Top Gun". So, it's not entirely Cedar Fair's "fault". Seriously, we all know Six Flags re-uses names a lot more than Cedar Fair.
