screenroxer Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 What was Your favorite rock show at a theme park?
FlyingScooter Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Back in the 90's, Conneaut Lake Park use to run concerts. I was Loverboy and REO Speedwagon. Other than that, Cheap Trick had the best show there.
CoasterFanatic Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Earth Wind and Fire at Universal Studios Florida Mardi Gras. Such an awesome show in an awesome setting.
cfc Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 The last concert I saw at a park was at Euroburg years ago when my parents were in town--Mom just had to see Anne Murray. Aghh! PS--take that back. I did sit through the annual doo-wop fest at Euroburg last year, whch was more bearable than Anne Murray. My neighbors kept bugging me to go, so I agreed. Now I never have to sit through it again.
TPDave Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 I didn't get to go, but i saw footage of Faithless at Thorpe Park and that was pretty awesome!
larrygator Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Can anything beat Menudo at SFGAdv in the '80s?
Pufferfish Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 This year I caught Weird Al at Carowinds. It was hilarious.
onewheeled999 Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Gaaah. Tomorrow I'm going to the CA state fair and Huey Lewis and the News will be there. I have no idea who they are, and tomorrow would be Daughtry, Labor Day would have Weird Al, and some other day had the All American Rejects.
MidtownCoaster Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 That Aerosmith concert that seems to be happening everyday at MGM. I never seem to make it to the concert itself, but the car ride over is AWESOME.
Meteornotes Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Starship at Epcot. How many times can one band play "We Built This City"? Far too many... dt
CoasterFanatic Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Huey Lewis and the News will be there. I have no idea who they are What! // This is why I weep for the future.
Shockwave Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Haha, Huey Lewis is awesome. Saw him back in 2003, that was a great laugh.
lapseofreason Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I haven't seen anything at a park, but my husband saw Sparks at Magic Mountain in 1983. He said it kicked butt.
pianojohn Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 Loverboy at Epcot last fall....sounded great, looked OLD. Scandal and Rick Springfield at Universal Studios Florida. Donna Summer during Mardi Gras at Universal Studios Florida. She sounded great, and it was a good warm up to Gay Days! Fun crowd!
MisterP Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 I saw the Monkees at SFSTL in the 70s. Actually it was only Davy Jones and Mickey Dolenz, but it was awesome when I was like 7.
dylanuclear Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 I saw Flyleaf at Magic Mountain I think a year ago. It was incredible!
WildStangAlex Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 I know it's not a band or anything...... But! The Show Stoppin' show at SFGAm this summer was fantastic. I saw it two different times. Anyone else see this show and agreed, or disagreed?
Guest Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 "Weird Al" Yankovic at Rocky Point Park (twice). -Jason
bgwfreak Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Huey Lewis and the News will be there. I have no idea who they are // This is why I weep for the future. Agreed my friend. I just saw them last summer and they rocked! Besides loving coasters, I love all kinds of music, so I've been to too many concerts to probably count now...but I'll try and recount some I remember... Nelson- Carowinds Weird Al (2007) - Carowinds Amy Grant - Carowinds Atlanta Fest 1990 & 1994 - SFOG The Coasters - NC State Fair (sometime in the 80s) Uh...I know there's many more, but can't remember now. Does anyone know of a site on the net where you can keep track of your concerts attended? Kinda like coasterfanatics little banner that has your coaster count.
moinab Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Violent Femmes and B-52s at the MN State Fair - 1992ish.
