astroworldfan1 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I have a question. Is that Danny Fantom ride, a newer version of a Huss Rainbow? -Tatum
TheRapidsNerd Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I LOVE DR.PEPPER!!!! Slightly off topic, but, astroworldfan1, you should try the Dr. Pepper flavored Jelly Bellys at Target (or where ever you can find them). Goooood stuff. Liking the SB themeing so far, but as somebody a page or so ago pointed out, it'll really overpower Ghost Blasters. It seems the only way to artistically balance the decor out, is to add more to Ghost Blasters. Just something that struck me later than the original poster. (Raises eyebrow at the airplane ride weight capacity) 180 lbs, eh? I know very few adults that weigh 180, unless they are extremely sick, have food disorders, or just incredible metabolisms. Even the 220 lb weight limit on the average butterfly chair is pretty strict, and that's more than the ride. This isn't going to fly well, on several levels. Now we come back to the last part of the "Compliment Sandwhich", and that is, I'm glad to see the progress. Bravo build teams!

They are SOO good!! Infact, im drinking a Dr.Pepper (its my 4th one today!) I am really liking the transformation from Snoopy to Nick Toons. I wasn't really happy at first, but now I liek it. -Tatum

DP, popcorn, and A&W make for a great combo. Speaking of food and sodas, I'm interested in seeing the new Pepsi Orange Streak train shells. That is one coaster, for brilliant acronym alone, I must ride. POS.
Golfie Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I have a question. Is that Danny Fantom ride, a newer version of a Huss Rainbow? -Tatum I don't know what model it is, but it has been around for a LONG time - before Nick Universe, it was called the "Screaming Yellow Eagle". The park repainted and rethemed it for Nick Universe.
Vffreak07 Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 It's a chance falling star. http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Index%20Pages/fallingstar.html
kraken613 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 So any word on when the trains for SB are going to be going on? EDIT: This is odd the only place with the lights out. Hmmm... Wonder whats going on?
Airtime&Gravity Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I must say that I'm impressed with how this park is turning out. I was a little nervous how it would turn out because it looked so nice when I went back when it was Knott's Camp Snoopy. While it is starting to look like a Cedar Fair park with all the concrete, I think this park will turn out nice once all the theming is done. While the old theming will still be better, the new theming should be pretty good when finished. Airtime-well, it can't be worse than Galaxyland can it?-&Gravity
Twister II Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 So any word on when the trains for SB are going to be going on? Just remember before any trains go on the electrical work has to get done. As in adding all of the sensors and testing the lift, etc. Plus, a 'pull through' must be in order before the trains are put on. Also, I think they have to finish themeing before the trains can go on for a better 'pull through' result. My guess would be in mid or end of March.

I'm guessing that they would want it open on March 15th, not at the end of March.

In that case, Im sure trains could be going on within the month!
kraken613 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 As I was reading your post I was like are you crazy! LOL I bet within a week or two. They seem to work really fast at times and slower at others.
Sticky Nicky Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Look at some of Avatars new themeing. It is by the right spike.
coastercrazed49 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Looking good, but I do hope they put a little more in there so it not just two rides and cement. Hopefully that will change soon.
kraken613 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Im wondering how they are going to fix the waits into that small area for two rides.
coastercrazed49 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 ^Thats a good point because there not much space in there to make long lines. There will probably be a lot of congestion in that area.
kraken613 Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 ^ Yeah if it was just 2 flats or something it would be fine but with a coaster too! Who knows when they were building Avatar I didnt even think about having 2 rides there. Also just think they didnt theme two rides that are what 10-15 feet close as the same thing! Just random thoughts coming out! LOL
Sticky Nicky Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 There is que lining pipes inbetween Ripsaw and Avatar. I am guessing that the blue Chinese hut will be the entrance and the line will go all the way towards the end of Avatar and back, then around again finally getting to the station. Who knows where Splat-O-Spheres que will be.
Sticky Nicky Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Spongebob's Que line is starting to form.(Look behind the loop byt before the helix).
kraken613 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I think that blue thing will be the enterence of the wait. Small wait then though.
FitchCoaster Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 I like it! I just hope they continue adding more details and things like this to more places of the park.. I like the changes so far! I've had my doubts, but this whole Nickelodeon re-theme is proving me wrong.
Sticky Nicky Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 They took Avatar's seats off the train.
bdstrom Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 They took Avatar's seats off the train. That's great! Now we can surf more realistically.
DejaVu The Ride Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 It looks like at least one of Spongebob's cars are on the transfer!
