robbalvey Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Hey everyone! Time for another "Official" TPR Video! This time - ALTON TOWERS: http://www.themeparkreview.com/videos/altontowers_uk2006.htm This was shot during the UK Tour 2006 and includes lots of great footage of Nemesis, Oblivion, Rita, Air, and more! And of course there is tons of TPR antics including John's "Camera of Doom" breaking Rita, a bit too much spinning in the play area, and still know one knows exactly what was on Barry's ass!!! Anyway, download the video, enjoy it, and don't forget, if you like the video segment, order the DVD! http://www.themeparkreview.com/tprorder.htm Thanks again to everyone for their support! --Robb
Nrthwnd Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Ohhhhhhhhhhh my. Methinks we have found The Definative Theme Park Review... (dare I say it?) theme song??? Must say. Catchy words, hmm?
snuggles Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 The song drove me insane already Great video, Robb. Whats with that kiddie coaster going like, 30 MPH?
DATman Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 The song was amazing, as well as the video. It's just a lot of fun to watch, and it really does an awesome job at portraying the parks for what they are.
mightypotato Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Wow...that song takes me back to elementary school and camp days. I really need to go on one of these TPR events one day. They look like illegal amounts of fun.
deano Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Great video, looks like you guys had so much fun. so, just what is on Barry's a$$ huh?
StyleStorm Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 What song is that? I heard it in the Supersize Me video.. Anyways, nice video. Looks like you had loads of fun.
socalMAN123 Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Once again, a great video! Man, I wish I had enough money to go on these trips. Also, WTF was the song? ---Brent
Chrissie Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Its the Fast Food Song by the Fast Food Rockers. It was out over here a few years ago. Awesome video!!
BarryH Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Believe me, you don't want to know what was on my ass. I think it moved and ate small children.
frozenflames Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Great video! Haha, that song (or at least the chorus of it) is used as a warm-up for the theatre kids at my school before our shows (although we also mention Star Wars and random animals). Plus that spinny thing looks really fun, although nauseating. Randi "woo-hoo for fast food-related stuff" Bass
Wes Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 My favorite part is when that dude totally gets a face-full of water on the Top Spin.
CaseyFish Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 ^Yeah Wes that was Rich and Larry.....that was pretty funny
Fallen Heretic Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I was hoping never to hear that damn song again. lol. When I heard the UK eurovision entry (by scooch) it reminded me of fast food rockers. Evil, bad, wrong music. Yet somehow, oddly appropriate. lol. Love the Nemesis footage. Especialy when you can see the water ripple up as the train roars over it.
JonathanEColeman Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 This video is a smasher! It truely made me smile in the early hours of dissertation writing! cheers guys. > J
LOVE SFKK Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Wow, Fast Food Rockers is like Uk's version of Aqua Great video, especially good shots of Nemesis. Song was catchy, but.....yeah. Cant wait for the next one!
Nrthwnd Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Believe me, you don't want to know what was on my a$$. I think it moved and ate small children.
PKI Jizzman Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 That song is permanentally stuck in my head. LOL! that topspin is hilarious! Looks like you almost drown!!!
Nrthwnd Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 ^ That topspin, RIPSAW, was honestly, The Most Entertaining Ride I have ever seen. From an 'audience' perspective. It definitely drew the crowds, just to watch a circuit happen, if only for how DRENCHED some of the riders were going to (eventually) get, LOL. The ride op clearly enjoyed the whole setup - and (mostly) everybody who went on it knew exactly what 'could' happen to them, heh heh. And now you know what those things can really do, when the 'water works' are all in order, hmmm?
coaster05 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 That is me on the Ripsaw and it was absolutely hilarious. My wife and Elissa talked to the ride op and actually offered a bribe to really turn the water up. However, he was a fine upstanding employee and ran the cycle for free. It was one of the funnest rides I have EVER had in my life on any ride.
robbalvey Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 ^ And it was pretty damn funny for us watching from the slidelines! I did think it was very clever how the operators were able to use the water bouncing off the ride to get the onlookers VERY wet too! I've never seen that done on any other water top spin! --Robb
PKI Jizzman Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 ^I saw the water hit the camera! Wow, what a wet ride. That is hilarious!
coastrfreak2000 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Is Ripsaw wetter than Canada's Wonderland's deadly topspin?
