Shockwave Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Another vote for Busch Gardens Tampa. There's not one weak ride amongst their three. Alton Towers gets a good second place.
larrygator Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 gulp! I'm agreeing with Ryan. Alton Towers
stingrock23 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I gotta go with BGT also. As much as I like IOA, the 3 at Busch are just so much better. Kumba was my first B&M, and is still my #1.
SharkTums Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 In no particular order... BGT IOA Alton Although I agree with most, if I had to choose one, I would probably say BGT. BGW just doesn't do it for me. Apollo is my least favorite B&M Hyper, I think Alpie sucks, and Griffon will be good, but not that much better than Shakira!
coaster05 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I vote for Alton with no other park being close that I have been to. That being said I will see what BGT does for me on my upcoming visit.
matteocrepaldi Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 SFMM and BGA are the best but I also think that BGE too has a small but great collection of B&Ms.
Golfie Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I haven't been there, but Alton Towers. Inverted + Flying + Dive Machine = Yum.
ShannonSomerville Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I would have to say that BGE has the best collection,so far,but wait til next year.
Three Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 BGA. Then SFOG. When I hit Alton Towers, I expect it'd go right between those.
eskater132 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 IOA, only cause I haven't been to BGT/BGA
coastrfreak2000 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I go with BGA. I can't get enough of Montu.
Hercules Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I've been thinking about this even more today (NERD!) but I think I'm definately going to have to put BGT/BGA in my number two spot over BGW/BGE. Alpengeist is just weak, and Apollo's is good, but not spectacular. I can't see Griffon being the almighty difference maker. I haven't been to BGT/BGA, but Kumba and Montu just look like they might top it, mostly just because Alpengeist sucks.
pkdcoaster Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I haven't been to BGT/BGA, but Kumba and Montu just look like they might top it, mostly just because Alpengeist sucks. Why would you like Montu then? Last half of Montu is really weak and slow as well. JEFF
Hercules Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I don't know. I haven't been on it. However, it looks like there are elements that I would like. I am just assuming there. From what I see though, it looks more compact and more forceful. Alpengeist is just big and forceless. I enjoy forces on an invert. The way it looks, Montu packs more of a punch.
easytoremember Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I haven't been to BGT/BGA, but Kumba and Montu just look like they might top it, mostly just because Alpengeist sucks. Why would you like Montu then? Last half of Montu is really weak and slow as well. JEFF I like the end of montu with the trench to trench corkscrew
Gnome Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 My favorite would be BGT as well. There's just nothing like Kumba or Shiekra, especially Kumba. I wasn't very impressed with Montu, but still its just an extra addition to the awsomeness of the previously 2 mentioned. Next would be IOA, and not because they have a great line up of B&Ms, but simply because the Dragons are such good coasters, and although semi-forceless and uneventful, I still find Hulk to be a pretty good ride. After that it'd be SFMM, and then so on and so forth.
All Clear Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I just went to Carowinds last weekend for the first time in a million years. While I wouldn't get too excited about their "collection," I would like to throw out there that Top Gun blew my mind. It's the smoothest B&M I've been on and definitely my new favorite inverted. So half of their collection is amazing.
easytoremember Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 De ja vu, do you know where I could get a bigger picture of that? I would like to use it as my background.
JuanSe_Colombia Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I go with BGA: Kumba, Montu 'n Sheikra Second: IOA: Incredible Hulk 'n Dueling Dragons(Ice, Fire) Thrid: SFMM: Riddler's Revenge, Tatsu, Batman Fourth: Alton Towers: Nemesis, Air, Oblivion
verticalzero Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Alton Towers: 3 great coasters but I only go on Nemeis and Air, never Oblivion, the track sizes are different. The only B&M I have been on outside the UK is "Raptor".
jamesdillaman Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Thrid: SFMM: Riddler's Revenge, Tatsu, Batman Isn't Scream a B&M, also, and SFMM IMO is the best "collection" of B&M's, with my favorite Flying coaster, favorite standup, and a racy, sexy batman clone. Oh yeah, there's some coaster they stuck out in the parking lot, but any park with 4 B&M's is okay in my book. -James Dillaman
