P. 2037: Siren’s Curse tilt coaster announced for 2025!

Recommended Posts

I've had good wings at the Quaker Steak & Lube in Erie, but the one near Elyria/Lorain, Ohio did them all sorts of wrong.

I am pretty sure that their wings were thrown into the deep fryer when frozen and that is always a no-no when making proper Buffalo wings & a big reason why most places can't make good wings. They did not come out with the right crispness...they were crisp outside, but slimy & not 100% cooked inside.

I hate that.

I've noticed that service and food quality seems to vary by restaurant. Hopefully, Cedar Point's will be one of the good ones!

Quaker Steak and Lube pales in comparison to B-Dubs, but it's not really an issue as Buffalo Wild Wings is only a short drive away.

I actually like Fridays leaps and bounds over Quaker Steak and Lube, and I always thought families would like an option like Fridays when visiting a resort over Quaker Steak. Perhaps I was wrong.

Hopefully this works out for them.

Well, there is another tgif about a mile down the road at breakers.

I always thought the hours of this tgif was weird. I remember going to the gatekeeper media event a day early (Friday of all days) and they were closed before 8pm. Needless to say, we ended up at Buffalo wild wings.

I'm not sure if they are being sarcastic or not, but the people on Pointbuzz seem to think that the video Cedar Point posted earlier (Tony singing "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year") is a hint to future expansion.

Speakin of which, are there any rumors of what could take the place of Good Time Theatre? It was a really strange announcement (It seemed to come out of no where).

This more than likely could become the site for the dark ride in 2016. The ride was rumored to go inside of the Coliseum, but I think due to the history and that it's still a major part of the park infrastructure, they opted not to use it and decided to build a new building where Good Time Theatre stands.

I believe Tony mentioned on his Twitter, it's going to be replaced by grass this year. So if the GTT site becomes the new dark ride, construction more than likely won't start on it until late this year. I can understand why they want to use that space though, it's on a rather large piece of land and the building wasn't in that great of shape since it was built with mid 70's building standards, which weren't that great.

Will Mean Streak ever get a RMC? I wonder if Cedar Fair will ever go with RMC, I don't think they will now because Six Fails (Flags) is in love with them right now. I think that's a smart move by Six Flags because they are really turning out. I hope mean streak gets a RMC with inversions, that would be so awesome!!! Mean Streak already is a great ride but it could be better. Cedar Point is lacking in a good woodie! Plus I wonder if RMC tried to make a steel coaster at Cedar Point...

It's so funny that I literally came on the site tonight to post about Mean Streak getting an RMC makeover and the last post before this one was also about wicked twister getting an RMC makeover. From what I understand, six flags and RMC are in a 5 year contract? In my opinion, one coaster that could not only use an RMC makeover, but would be absolutely incredible, is Mean Streak. It is a good coaster, it just is so rough its almost hard to enjoy. I remember one of my last rides on it, a woman a few rows ahead of us had a seizure during the ride. When we returned to the station, she was still seizing. Luckily my buddy was a medic and helped them out until the workers on duty showed up. It is just too rough of a ride. RMC I know would work wonders on that coaster, and Cedar Point has such an incredible coaster line up, I doubt they would pass up an opportunity from this new company to transform one of their classics are market it once again as a new and amazing ride!

^ I also think Mean Streak would really benefit from an RMC makeover. Personally the layout for Mean Streak doesn't do much for me. I could only imagine how awesome of a design they could make with Mean Streaks footprint.

I could see RMC making the first 2 turns of Mean Streak have outward banking, and that spot where Mean Streak goes over the lift hill they could make that an inversion. (NOTE: I don't actually think that Mean Streak will get Iron Horsed.)

Is Mean Streak REALLY as rough as people make it out to be? I've heard people say "it's the roughest coaster ever" and I've heard people say that it was fairly smooth.

I visited Cedar Point for the first time this year, personally, I didn't find Mean Streak to be all that bad. I was kind of looking forward to it as my home park is Six Flags Over Texas. I enjoyed the Texas Giant before it was given the RMC treatment. Since Mean Streak and Texas Giant were brothers built by the same company, it was like going in a time capsule. The Texas Giant was WAY rougher then Mean Streak, but I still liked Texas Giant before the re-do.

Side question, I was so stumped by this and wondered if someone could answer this. When I visited the park in September (first trip ever) I noticed there are no metal detectors? It's just walk on in! Is this a thing with Ohio? Or does Cedar Point just trust it's customers that much? Back home here at SFOT, you basically get a pat down lol
