A hell of a lot of track is now arriving with no sign of 4 rail track yet.

 

Anyone have a guess as to the layout?

^Its a B&M 4-D. The Intamin track is there just to trick us. They are also onna make a Vekoma Motorboke that intertwines with the 4-D.

I was at Cedar Point this past Sunday and took a few shots of the construction area as well as a few low-quality pictures of the new track. The track is located outside of the Breaker's Express hotel and the only way to get the pictures was to snap them while riding past in the car. The construction site extends to Mean Streak and involves a large corner area, almost too small for a lift hill. If I had to guess, I would say maybe some sort of a launched coaster without a top hat. As far as the 500 ft. rumor, there is obviously no digging deep enough to support anything going up 500 ft. These pictures should help to get an idea of where the ride will be and shows the obvious Intamin track.

For fun, have you ever noticed the name "Andrea" at the top of the Mean Streak's lift hill? This has been here since 1994. Andrea is one of my close college friends from Sandusky. Her dad works on the Mean Streak and put this here for her 9th birthday.

I haven't seen it yet from the photo's, but 'ASSUMING' an aqua-trax coaster is being built, I would probably start looking for the foundation (splashdown area?) to be popping up soon.

One thing that may not have been show in the picture is the fact that the trough for the bottom of the log flume has not yet been filled in. It's only about 3 or 4 feet deep but it could be a potential splash-down. It is right beside the station and the construction fence if their intention was to make sure that spectators got wet. But the track is definitely Intamin and does not resemble any track from other water coasters out there.

Wow! I never relised how big this coaster is. It goes out into the lake and stuff. I am starting to have no clue after seeing a bunch of pictures of the construction site.

 

At first I thought it was a looper but i'm sord of thinking something else.

I know people are gonna crucify me and i know the whole aquatracks thing has gathered real momentum but i think its gonna be a coaster like Rita:Queen of speed only it reaches like 130mph.

^ I don't disagree about the Rita part, as I am thinking the same thing (but maybe with inversions) I just disagree with the 130mph thing, thats just a little unrealistic.

^^That doesn't really seem possible considering the small space (unless they decided to wrap it around the park!). Unless Intamin decided to use the maximum capability of the hydraulic launch, but even then, the small space, which would obviously make for small turns, would break your neck!

 

I am blowing the Aquatrax idea out the window. Considering the color of the track and the extensive amount of footers, it doesn't seem possible to me.

and ^^^^^^^^^ The only problem is that it'd mean having two of the exact same type of coaster in one park. Most guests would say "why go on that, when there's TTD next to it?"

There's not enough room to go by MF like that.

 

This is not RCT, they have realistic space limitations.

^It's not that hard to make track go over the road. It could also go through MF's layout. I know it's never going to happen, but it would be cool.

 

And believe me, RCT is nothing close to how much space you can use in real life. (RCT2=evil height limits, squares that you have to follow, and unrealistically sized track.)

The only reason i say 130mph is to have a new record breaker but if not maybe 11 inversions coaster?!

I think the station may be the footers on the right and it dips and turns left to go up a lift hill!!

Just a thought. I don't know the layout or where the footers are so I dont know if it's viable
